Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2025 Sees 68% Surge in Materials Exhibitors as China’s AM Industry Expands Rapidly

Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2025 is set to open with a notable 68% increase in participation from materials suppliers compared to its previous edition, underscoring the event’s growing importance in the global additive manufacturing (AM) landscape. This surge comes as China continues to strengthen its position as a leader in industrial 3D printing, supported by an ecosystem of equipment producers, software developers, materials innovators, and service providers. The show, scheduled from 26 to 28 August 2025 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, has already filled 70% of its exhibition space, indicating strong momentum and high anticipation among industry players.

Mr Louis Leung, Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, remarked that China’s additive manufacturing sector is on track to become a global force. He emphasized that Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2025 will bring together every segment of the AM value chain, enabling businesses to explore solutions tailored to their specific needs. As domestic and international players converge at this platform, it will offer an ideal setting for manufacturers to evaluate technologies, forge partnerships, and chart growth paths in both regional and global markets.

China’s materials sector, crucial to this growth, has thrived due to robust government backing and strategic policy alignment. As part of the country’s broader push in advanced manufacturing, materials such as high-performance polymers, specialised ceramics, and metal powders have seen accelerated innovation and integration into AM processes. This trend is reflected in the 2025 fair’s expanded materials segment, which will spotlight suppliers driving progress in automotive, aerospace, new energy, and other high-tech industries.

The AM materials market globally grew to USD 21.8 billion in 2024, with materials alone contributing USD 4.4 billion. China played a major role in this expansion, benefitting from enhanced capabilities in standardisation and testing, which have allowed more domestic materials to reach market-readiness. This evolution will be on full display at the fair, with a roster of materials exhibitors that includes leading names in metals, ceramics, and polymers. Among those confirmed are Acc Material, Avimetal AM, eSUN, JAMGHE, Nanoe France, Prismlab, Resione, and many others across diverse materials categories.

Furthering its commitment to industry innovation, the fair will once again host the 3D Print Farm Conference and Farm Workshop Showcase, which attracted over 2,000 participants in its 2024 debut. Organised in partnership with Nanjixiong, this segment will dive into the rise of print farms facilities operating multiple 3D printers simultaneously for efficient and flexible production. Visitors can expect presentations on filament trends, AI-assisted modelling, and product showcases, offering a glimpse into the future of mass customisation and decentralised production.

Complementing the materials and equipment on display, laser technology will also take centre stage at Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2025. As essential tools in powder melting and resin curing, lasers are integral to the AM process. Attendees can connect with leading laser system providers such as Ante Laser, Blue Tech, Feibo Laser, Han’s Photonics, and Vistek Laser. The Laser and Additive Manufacturing Forum will further enrich the programme with insights into how these technologies enhance efficiency, precision, and scalability in AM operations.

RAFFTECH Lancar Aplikasi Mudah Alih SSM e-Info Versi 3.0 dan Program Ganjaran Digital

Raffcomm Technologies Sdn. Bhd.

Menurut Pengerusi Eksekutif RAFFTECH, YBrs. Datuk Md.
