Building Tomorrow, Today: GEBT 2025 Powers Up Industry Innovation for a Smarter, Greener Future

The 22nd edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will be held from 9 to 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, alongside the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE). As one of Asia’s most influential trade platforms for electrical engineering, building automation, and smart energy solutions, GEBT 2025 is set to spotlight the future of sustainable development under the themes “low-carbon intelligent building” and “smart power distribution.” The event takes place at a pivotal time as China accelerates its commitment to carbon neutrality by rolling out zero-carbon park standards and integrated energy strategies, creating the perfect environment for showcasing innovation and building new business synergies across the industry.

This year, GEBT will feature specially curated themed zones including the KNX zone, the Matter zone, and the Low-Carbon Intelligent Building and Energy Management zone. These areas will bring together leading brands and solution providers from various segments such as electrical systems, home automation, energy management, smart lighting, and power distribution. Participants can expect to see innovative offerings from notable names including HDL, AiDimming, Geya, Gamder, VIPLOptoelectronic, and Evolt, among others. With global players like Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, and Legrand also onboard, the exhibition will serve as a vibrant hub for demonstrating interoperable smart technologies that empower intelligent, eco-conscious living environments.

Complementing the trade showcase is an expansive lineup of professional forums where global experts and industry leaders will share insights and future-ready strategies. Topics will revolve around low-carbon intelligent buildings, AI-integrated building systems, smart offices, and international market access. Key sessions include the KNX Forum, Zero-Carbon Hotel Forum, China Integrators’ Conference, Matter Standards Forum, and the OffiSmart Smart Office Summit. These discussions aim to drive industry-wide adoption of sustainable and intelligent solutions while offering actionable insights into market expansion, cost-efficiency, and technological integration across various sectors.

Other forward-thinking sessions include the DeepSeek Innovation Conference, which will examine how AI can standardise and digitise the home industry, as well as the seminar on smart venues which will explore the latest in intelligent engineering design for cultural and sports facilities. A special highlight will be the forum on building lighting and microgrid integration, powered by photovoltaic, energy storage, direct current, and flexibility (PEDF) technologies. This platform will explore how such innovations contribute to energy efficiency, reliability, and intelligent energy control.

GEBT 2025 is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs, which also include major international events in Frankfurt, India, Türkiye, UAE, the USA, and other parts of Asia. The flagship Light + Building event in Frankfurt is scheduled to take place from 8 to 13 March 2026, continuing the global dialogue on smart and sustainable building practices. In addition, Messe Frankfurt also organises related trade shows such as Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Parking China.

GEBT 2025 is not just an exhibition but a transformative experience that brings together innovation, business, and global perspectives to shape a greener, smarter building industry. With collaboration at its core, this edition of GEBT aims to equip industry players with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to embrace opportunities in low-carbon transformation and intelligent technology.
