  • ADUAN JIWA dalami kisah di sebalik tirai kehidupan

     

    ADUAN JIWA, sebuah rancangan sembang di TV9, telah kembali untuk musim baharu. ADUAN JIWA akan kembali kepada umum pada musim kedua, kali ini bersama pengacara dan personaliti terkenal Ahmad Fedtri Yahya, untuk berkongsi kisah benar situasi trauma tertentu dengan lebih mendalam. Cerita daripada pelbagai latar belakang ini akan mula disiarkan di TV9 pada Ahad, 18 September 2022, jam 10.30 malam, dan akan disiarkan secara langsung dalam HD di www.tonton.com.my.

    Menurut Ahmad Fedtri Yahya yang juga merupakan tulang belakang program ADUAN JIWA, “Selepas perkenalan musim pertama, ramai yang ingin meluahkan kisah-kisah trauma tapi takut. Mungkin kerana ia adalah sesuatu topik yang taboo. Namun, banyak juga yang hubungi saya di Twitter dan Instagram. Hari-hari saya menerima mesej yang menjadi tular dan diperkatakan. Pelbagai isu yang saya perolehi daripada mereka seperti hal rumah tangga, ibu bapa, keluarga, persahabatan dan masalah seksual.”

    Lebih istimewa, ADUAN JIWA musim kedua membawakan Ahmad Fedtri Yahya terus ke lokasi pengadu bagi mendengar kata-kata luahan orang ramai. Tambah Ahmad Fedtri lagi, “Bukan mudah untuk mendapatkan responden yang ingin berkongsikan masalah atau isu ketika di suasana terpencil seperti di dalam studio. Mungkin mereka menjadi segan apabila berhadapan dengan kamera, jadi musim kali ini akan menjadi lebih selesa untuk pengadu yang ingin berkongsi kisah mereka.”

    Namun Fedtri mengakui ia bukan sesuatu yang mudah baginya untuk mendapatkan responden. Katanya, “Ada yang menarik diri selepas penggambaran kerana atas faktor keselamatan. Ada juga yang membatalkan hasrat sebaik tiba di lokasi penggambaran. Apa yang kami boleh buat adalah memberikan masa dan ruang serta menggunakan medium alternatif seperti panggilan video bagi memastikan kisah mereka dapat disampaikan.”

     

    Episod pertama yang akan bersiaran pada 18 September ini bertajuk “Setelah Ayah Pergi” dan  memaparkan topik luahan Da’i Amirah yang mengambil tugas berat selepas kehilangan bapanya. Da’i Amirah meneruskan amanah dan legasi penjagaan rumah orang tua yang ditinggalkan oleh ayahnya. Dalam menguruskan amanah yang diberi dan melayan kerenah penghuni, Amirah turut rindu akan kasih sayang seorang bapa.

    Manakala, episod kedua yang bertajuk “HIV Di Usia Senja” menceritakan kisah-kisah lelaki warga emas di Rumah Perlindungan HIV Muslim. Oleh kerana penyakit mereka sudah di tahap kritikal, kini mereka ditempatkan di pusat perlindungan dan menghitung hari untuk sesuatu yang samar akibat kesilapan silam.

    Berharap agar program ini akan berterusan kerana ia dapat membantu orang ramai. Mungkin ada antara mereka menonton secara santai tetapi masih boleh mendapat info yang banyak daripada panel jemputan seperti pakar psikiatri, ustaz, ustazah dah ahli motivasi. Sebelum ini, Aduan Jiwa memaparkan kisah namun tiada kata putus. Pada musim baharu ini, kami akan memberi cadangan bagi membantu individu yang berada dalam situasi yang sama. Semoga  penonton mendapat manfaat dari program dan mereka mendapat sesuatu untuk memulihkan trauma atau masalah yang mereka hadapi.

  • The 8th Studio Album by John Legend

     

    LEGEND, the highly anticipated eighth studio album by multi-platinum, 12-time Grammy Award winner John Legend, was released by Republic Records. The bright double album, executive produced by Legend and famous producer-writer Ryan Tedder (Beyoncé, Adele, and others), is infused with an unapologetic sense of sexuality and joy, informed by the complete vulnerability of grief, praise, and healing.     ACT I of the epic double album recalls vividly the worldly, sensual pleasures of Saturday night – full of lust, self, sex and adventure.  It opens with “Rounds”, an immersive joint featuring Rick Ross, an artist with whom Legend has collaborated perhaps more than any other.  Other tracks include the smoldering R&B bedroom romp “Splash” featuring Jhene Aiko and rapper Ty Dolla $ign, “Dope,” a “summery, feel-good track” featuring rapper JID (Rolling Stone) and “Love,” featuring Jazmine Sullivan, whom Legend has known since she was a young artist.  ACT I climaxes in the immediately addictive and utterly uplifting “All She Wanna Do” featuring Saweetie, which Uproxx called a “sexy, dancefloor banger” and Rolling Stone described as a “roller disco jam.”

     

    ACT II evokes the feeling of a Sunday morning, with its focus on healing, intimacy, soulfulness and commitment.  It includes “Honey,” “a sultry, jazz-inspired” R&B track featuring Muni Long (Billboard) and “Wonder Woman,” a touching tribute to the power and grace of all the women in Legend’s life featuring the nostalgic, soulful Dap Kings.  Other tracks on ACT II include “Good,” featuring Ledisi, a tale of intimate healing and the relief that comes with knowing you’re in a relationship with the right person and “Pieces,” a devastatingly beautiful ballad about living with loss and grief.

    LEGEND has the feeling of a classic, and yet feels new, representing a fresh start for the artist with record label Republic, and a playful, adventurous feel. At the same time, it asserts its place in the canon of Black art, where honoring one’s ancestral story is as much part of existence as is that love, beauty and joy.

    Legend is set to perform “Pieces” from the new album at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 12th.  Next month, the EGOT winner will return to Las Vegas for his critically acclaimed “Love in Las Vegas” residency, with shows running from October 14th through  October 29thBillboard previously raved about the show, saying “…Legend held the full house in his hands as they danced, screamed and aah-ed their way through a generous set encompassing the multiple Grammy winner’s eight-album catalog of hits and fan faves.” Tickets are available HERE

    BMW Malaysia has unveiled the updated BMW M850i xDrive Coupé MY Edition. The luxury M Performance sports coupé gets a new front design and a slew of improved standard features from the premium automaker.

    Kuala Lumpur, 14th September 2022 – BMW Malaysia today introduced several enhancements for the BMW M850i xDrive Coupé, first introduced in Malaysia back in 2018. Now featuring a distinct, new front profile, the New BMW M850i xDrive Coupé MY Edition has received a suite of sporty design updates for both its exterior and interior, as well as an expanded list of standard equipment.

    Beginning with the front profile, the New BMW M850i xDrive Coupé MY Edition has been fitted with M exterior mirrors and the signature M emblem on the kidney grille as standard, courtesy of the standard inclusion of the M Performance package.   • The crowdsourced #ClassicMalaysianMoments project by AEON turns indelible Malaysian memories into NFTs.

     

    KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 – In honour of Merdeka, AEON Malaysia hosted a crowdsourcing platform where Malaysians could submit their own interpretations of iconic Malaysian moments that defined the nation. This was just one way the company showed how much it values community spirit and unity. These entries are then put up for social media voting with the hopes of being immortalised as non-fungible tokens or digital assets (NFTs).

    The ten (10) selected #ClassicMalaysianMoments out of 500+ submissions were announced today at AEON Taman Maluri, with the top (5) winners walking away with RM1,500 in AEON vouchers and five (5) consolation winners receiving RM500 in AEON vouchers. These winning designs will also be transformed into NFTs that AEON customers may redeem* as keepsakes in the digital world.

    Selepas lima tahun menyepi, Anugerah Industri Muzik (Anugerah Industri Muzik atau AIM) membuat kemunculan semula dengan penuh kejayaan untuk memberi penghormatan dan pengiktirafan kepada penyanyi tempatan. Dewan Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) menganjurkan lelaran ke-23 acara itu, menunjukkan AIM masih menonjol dan tidak kehilangan daya tarikannya.

  • The 23rd Annual Music Industry Awards (AIM23)

     

    Following a five-year absence, the Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) awards made a triumphant comeback to honour and acknowledge local performers. AIM remains renowned and has not lost its lustre as evidenced by the fact that the event’s 23rd edition was held at the Dewan Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA).

    The event witnessed local music fans celebrating the winners, consisting of their favourite singers whose songs who were deemed the best throughout the year.

    Stealing the limelight at the AIM23 were record labels Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia bagging 12 awards from 21 categories.

    The winners include Best Vocal Performance in A Song (Female): Sinar Mata Hati (Ernie Zakri), Best Vocal Performance in A Song (Group): Tunggu (V.E.), Best Album: Yonny (Deluxe Edition) (Yonnyboii), Best Malay Song Performed by An International Artiste: Tak Ingin Usai (Keisya Levronka), Best Local English Song: Game of Charades (Sophia Zuhri) and Best R&B/Hip Hop Song : CIAO (Joe Flizzow).

    Joining the list were also, Best Pop Song: Goodbye Hello (Ernie Zakri & Syamel), Best Album Recording: Belagu (Dayang Nurfaizah), Best Song Recording: Tudung Periuk (Dayang Nurfaizah), Best Arrangement in A Song: Tudung Periuk (Dayang Nurfaizah), Best Song: Goodbye Hello (Ernie Zakri & Syamel) and Highest Selling Ring Tone: Adakah Ini Mimpi (Reedzwann).

    Universal Music Malaysia Managing Director, Kim Lim said, the victory achieved by Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia is considered extra-ordinary especially after the entertainment industry was put to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the Movement Control Order (MCO) for two years.

    We know that throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the arts scene could not flourish as it used to. However, record labels did not remain silent. Hence, digital content had to be strengthened. During this period, Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia were actively producing songs for local music lovers.

    Although faced with several challenges, it did not prevent record labels from creating high-quality songs and albums. This is the core of our very foundation. The label also allowed artistes the freedom to create and flaunt their creativity.

     

    Whatever it is, the success at the AIM23 is a testament of the hard work and effort of everyone involved in producing these masterpieces. Hopefully, this will be a driving factor in motivating Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia to produce more high-quality offerings.

    According to Kim Lim, she also hopes that promotion of songs will continue to be done on ground as it is an unforgettable tradition.

    Although throughout the pandemic and MCO most activities were done on-line on all digital platforms, Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia maintained the expected standards. At the same time, on ground activities which were considered a norm before this should continue. We still want that vibe.

    Meanwhile, Universal Music Malaysia’s A&R and Marketing Director who is also the Head of DefJam Recording Malaysia, Hermond Cheng said, he is also very proud of the achievements attained by Def Jam Recordings Malaysia.

     

    Universal Music Malaysia and Def Jam Recordings Malaysia would also like to express their heartfelt thanks to their partners namely Rocketfuel Entertainment Sdn. Bhd; DN & AD Entertainment Sdn. Bhd; Cloudworks Entertainment; Kasugi Timur Sdn. Bhd. / Wake The Baby and RUSA Marketing Sdn. Bhd.

    For the 23rd AIM, the organisers received 650 nominations but only 105 were shortlisted for the 21 competing categories for works that were produced within a span of one and a half years, beginning January 1st 2021 till June 30th 2022.

    Chairman of the Malaysian Recording Industry Association (RIM) which is also the organising committee of AIM23, Rosmin Hashim said 113 professional juries were involved in evaluating the nominees, with each category being judged by seven to 10 professionals from their respective field.

    The list of professional juries include Music Maestro, Datuk Mokhzani Ismail who was also the head jury along with, Omar K, DJ FuzzAdi PriyoShah SlamDatuk Syafinaz SelamatFauzi MarzukiDatuk AcisDato’ Afdlin ShaukiMas Idayu, Noryn Aziz and many others.

  • Serlahkan pengalaman AZIZ Harun dengan muzik elektronik dan sisi matang- Hanya mahukan bye

     

    Dengan keluaran single baharunya, Hanya Mahukan Bye, ciptaan komposer terkenal Romeo, Mike Chan, dan Faizal Tahir di bawah label Faithful Music, kerjaya seni warga Brunei Aziz Harun semakin meningkat.

    Lapan tahun berkecimpung dalam dunia seni, Aziz berjaya membuktikan kehadirannya masih utuh dan diterima baik oleh pendengar muzik di Brunei dan Malaysia yang menjadi penyokong utama setiap karya yang diketengahkan.

    Kali ini, jejaka tampan berusia 24 tahun itu mempertaruhkan buah tangan baharu yang cukup unik serta mempamerkan transisi Aziz yang semakin matang dalam dunia nyanyian.

    Hanya Mahukan Bye adalah lagu pertama yang berbeza secara total daripada segi genre, konsep dan segala-galanya. Walaupun pada peringkat permulaan lagu ini ditulis mengikut kemampuan dan genre yang biasa seperti elemen akustik, piano dan gitar, tapi sudah tiba masanya untuk keluar daripada zon selesa.

    Jadi Mike Chan tampilkan dengan konsep muzik elektronik dan begitu terkejut apabila mendengarnya. Namun selepas beberapa hari susunan lagu ini ternyata sangat istimewa kerana wujud elemen muzik elektronik

    Malah menerusi lagu ini tiada langsung bunyi gitar atau piano yang  sebati dalam setiap lagu-lagu beliau. Malah mesej Hanya Mahukan Bye juga sangat berbeza dan boleh dikatakan agak toksik apabila menceritakan kisah lelaki yang tidak mahu berubah, suka mempermainkan hati wanita sehingga termakan dengan kata-kata pujian yang diungkapkan.

     

    Kemudian lelaki itu meninggalkan wanita terbabit dengan menyalahkan wanita yang disifatkan sebagai bodoh kerana mudah percaya dengan segala tipu helah kerana begitu mudah percaya dengan lelaki.

    Selain menyifatkan lagu Hanya Mahukan Bye sebagai karya yang ‘dark’ dan matang, Aziz juga mengaku berdepan kesukaran sewaktu menjalani proses rakaman.

    ‘Key’ lagu ini sangat tinggi untuk dibawa dan muzik elektronik ini kena ada kelainan. Kalau menyanyi mengikut ‘key’ yang selesa mungkin penghayatannya tidak sampai kepada jiwa pendengar.

    Dia menganggap lagu ini adalah proses eksperimen untuk ditonjolkan sisi kematangan sebagai penyanyi. Walaupun lagu ini tidak mudah untuk dibawakan. Bagi Aziz, peluang bekerjasama dengan Mike Chan dan Faizal Tahir merupakan pengalaman berharga yang tidak mungkin dapat dilupakan dan tidak sabar untuk mendengar maklum balas pendengar.

    Biarpun memiliki pengaruh luar biasa dan lagu-lagu nyanyiannya meraih jutaan tontonan di YouTube, Aziz mengaku masih memiliki impian besar ingin dicapai.

     

    Perjalanan selama lapan tahun ini masih baru dan tidak sangka pada tahun 2014 menerusi lagu Senyum saya masih dapat bertahan sehingga ke hari ini.

    Ramai penyanyi sekarang mudah mendapat peluang untuk memperkenalkan karya mereka di serata dunia dengan pantas.  Misalnya penyanyi dari Indonesia, Pamungkas yang juga merupakan idola beliau  yang berjaya menembusi pasaran Filipina ketika ini.

    Hanya Mahukan Bye sudah boleh didengarkan di semua platform digital bermula 12 September manakala muzik video rasmi boleh ditonton di saluran YouTube Faithful.

  • FIM2022 a one-stop centre for local, global franchise community

     

    The Worldwide Franchise Exhibition and Conference Malaysia 2022 (FIM2022), which takes place from the 8th to the 10th of September at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), is a one-stop shop for the local and international franchise community.

    FIM2022 is attended by nearly 100 local and international franchise brands from 9 countries, including the United States of America, Australia, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia itself. In addition fo franchise companies, FIM2022 also brings together several related agencies and suppliers to create an integrated franchise ecosystem.

    FIM2022 is the largest franchise exhibition and conference in Southeast Asia that is targeting a total of 14,000 visitors with an expected potential franchise investment of RM450 million during the three-day exhibition.

    According to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, FIM2022 is the best platform to explore various franchise business oppurtunities and to obtain various information about franchising including assistance and incentives from the government, support services, development activities, and training programs that are available in the franchise industry.

    In addition, FIM is also a platform for local franchise companies to promote their respective businesses through franchise packages as well as create oppurtunities to transform conventional businesses into franchise concepts.

    The Prime Minister’s speech at the event was read by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA), YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi. (Also present at the FIM2022 launching ceremony were MDTCA Secretary General, YBhg. Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof and Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) Chairman, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan.)

    According to MFA Chairman, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan, apart from the exhibition, FIM2022 also highlighted several other activities such as business matching sessions, franchise negotiation sessions, franchise briefing sessions called franchise pit-stops, edutainment activities and franchise conferences.

    This conference features 25 distinguished speakers consisting of industry activists and professionals from abroad and within the country. Among the essence of this year’s conference is the basic terminology of franchise business, business expansion to the international market, franchise legislation, sharing business strengthening strategies, and strategy in addressing the current economic challenges.

    The organizers hope that this exhibition and conference can benefit visitors and help them conduct business in a more relevant, future-proof, and suistainable manner.
