Sony today announces the launch of its all-new GP-VPT3 Wireless Shooting Grip/Tripod and RMT-VP2 Remote Commander, delivering a powerful upgrade in camera handling and control for photographers, vloggers, and content creators. Designed to work seamlessly with the Alpha Series and Vlog Camera Series, these devices combine flexibility, portability, and smart wireless functionality.
The GP-VPT3 offers a true three-in-one solution functioning as a comfortable handheld grip, a stable tripod, and a detachable remote commander. Built for performance and convenience, it supports cameras weighing up to 1.5 kg, making it ideal for both casual and professional setups.
Crafted with ergonomic precision, the grip allows intuitive single-handed control of essential functions like zoom and focus, regardless of the user’s dominant hand. The tiltable head and quick self-portrait switch provide dynamic shooting angles for both photos and videos, enhancing creative freedom.
Adding to its versatility, the detachable remote commander includes a dedicated MOVIE button, Zoom/Focus control, and a customizable C1 button for quick access to favorite functions. With a wireless range of up to 10 meters, users can trigger the shutter from afar perfect for group shots or stabilised night photography. The remote commander is also compatible with select Xperia smartphones for added flexibility.
