For fans of the South Korean actor and singer, Kim Jae-debut joong’s solo concert, which was presented by iMe Malaysia, marked his return to Malaysia after a 12-year absence. Concertgoers from all around the world, including those from the US, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea, attended the sold-out event.

Jae-joong recently released his first South Korean album in six years called Born Gene on September 13 and gave his fans a taste of the songs which range from pop to rock and ballads. The concert opened with a rookie boy band called MIC who are mentored by Jae-joong with a medley of songs including some from JYJ (Jae-joong’s group) like Mission and the wildly popular Chajatta, the OST of Sungkyunkwan Scandal sung by JYJ.

They were quite good and the crowd enjoyed the performance as they cheered the boys on. But of course fans were waiting in anticipation for the real star of the night and the crowd went wild when Jae-joong launched into Just Another Girl from his popular album WWW.

He spoke to the fans after the first song saying it was his first time back here in 12 years and how happy he was to be here. Fans went into a frenzy as he moved to BPM a new song from Born Gene.

Jae-joong changed into several outifts throughout the concert.He transitioned into another high energetic song from the album called Tick-Tack.

Before and after the concert and the breaks, fans were treated to videos of the behind-the-scenes of the making of his album and a pre-recorded Q&A session plus a lovely video of him growing up as a child with his parents

Jae-joong changed into several outifts and he broke up the segments of his concert from pop music, ballads and rock. He started off in a decorative jacket, changed into an all-white outfit for the ballads section, came out in a glittery jacket for the rock section and then put on a T-shirt for his final numbers.

To the delight of the fans he came out clad in a T-Shirt and lime green shirt over it to perform his encore number, Nobody Like You, the title track of Born Gene.

As someone who has attended several of his concerts, for the KL stop Jae-joong definitely went the extra mile and gave an energetic and explosive performance hitting high notes and looking perfect while doing it.

The fans, which included those from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Canada, US and many more were equally enthusiastic singing along to his new songs and the old and familiar ones.

Jaejoong sang 17 numbers in an almost two hour show.Perhaps it was because he hadn’t been to Malaysia for so long, but it was like he was like pouring out so much passion, emotion and energy while singing.

He showed the wound on his knee that he got in the Seoul concert recently, which kicked off his 2022 Kim Jae Joong Asia Tour Concert. Fans were concerned as it looked quite bad. But he was still able to continue performing.

He hit the high notes, looked ethereal and gorgeous and gave one of the best concert performances I have seen. It was like the concert flew by so fast!

In total he sang 17 numbers in an almost two hour show with songs from Born Gene and his previous albums, WWW, I and No.X.

At the end of the day, Jae-joong has such a charismatic presence on stage, coupled with his beautiful voice and handsome face that he’s just perfection to listen to and look at.

Jae-joong apologised for not extending the concert longer as he was leaving that night itself. But he did promise to come back to Malaysia possibly next year and local fans can look forward to that!

Nantikan juga persembahan istimewa menerusi artis-artis hebat Malaysia seperti Kristal X, Elyana, Ezlynn, Farahdhiya, Ramlah Ram dan Syura di episod pertama separuh akhir Muzik Muzik yang akan membawakan tema genre muzik Rock & Roll dan episod kedua akan bertemakan genre Pop dan Pop Ethnic.

Turut menjadi tumpuan para peminat muzik tanah air apabila terdapat tiga buah lagu yang bakal menampilkan penyanyi berbeza di pentas Separuh Akhir Muzik Muzik 37. Lagu ‘BERAKHIRLAH PENCARIANKU’ bakal dipersembahkan oleh Ahmad Shafiq dan Wany Kayrie manakala lagu ‘TAKLUK CINTA’ akan menampilkan Puteri Khareeza sebagai penyanyi. Bagi lagu ‘HABIS SINI’, penonton bakal menyaksikan Naim Daniel berduet dengan Ismail Izzani dalam usaha menempah tiket ke pentas akhir!

Untuk makluman, Muzik Muzik ialah program variasi yang memaparkan carta mingguan lagu-lagu paling popular di Malaysia. Secara keseluruhan, 30 buah lagu Muzik Muzik 37 bertanding di pusingan separuh akhir.

Dari kecil, Salina berkawan rapat dengan Amir (Izzue Islam) iaitu anak kepada Zamani (Nik Ramly) yang juga merupakan kawan baik kepada ayah Salina. Walaupun Amir berkelulusan tinggi, dia memilih untuk menetap di kampung untuk menjaga ibunya, Halijah (Fazlina Ahmad Daud) dan mengabulkan permintaan terakhir ayahnya iaitu mengahwini Salina.

Perkahwinan Amir dan Salina tidak direstui oleh Halijah. Salina sering dilayan teruk oleh Halijah yang selalu menuduhnya kurang ajar kerana tak dapat didikan dari seorang ibu. The 12th Session of the ASEAN Community Statistical System (ACSS12) Committee was held from November 21st to November 23rd, 2022, and was attended by the Heads of ASEAN National Statistical Offices (NSOs), as well as International Organizations and Development Partners. The meeting was electronically hosted by the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) of Cambodia as Chair and Badan Pusat Statistik (Statistics Indonesia) as Co-Chair of the ACSS12 Committee.

The ACSS was established since 2011 and has been continuing  its efforts to provide relevant, timely and comparable ASEAN statistics in support of ASEAN  integration monitoring and evidence-based policy and decision making. The session was also  participated by the International Organisations and Development Partners. The ACSS  consistently strengthening its cooperation to enhance statistical capacities of the  ASEAN Member States (AMS) and the ASEAN Secretariat.

Malaysia was represented by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) led by the  Chief Statistician Malaysia, YBhg Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohd Uzir Mahidin. The ACSS members together  deliberated the committee’s key deliverables and endorsed the statistical activities and  frameworks that have been developed to strengthen the statistical cooperation among the  AMS, which are the implementation of ACSS Strategic Plan 2016-2025 and Annual Work Plan  (AWP), progress in data harmonisation and other statistical development related issues.

Among others are revisit the Code of Practice; Methodological Guide for Trade in Services;  Monitoring of AWP 2022 implementation in line with the 2022 Preliminary Progress of KPIs in  M&E of ACSS Strategic Plan; Progress on data harmonisation in key fields of statistics;  Implementation of Big Data Pilot Project in 2022; ACSS Open Data Implementation  Framework; ASEAN Statistical Dashboard; ASEAN-Help-ASEAN Framework (AHAF);  2022 ASEAN SDG Snapshot Report and others.

Malaysia appreciates ASEANStats and AMS’s efforts in implementing the AHAF courses under  each ACSS Working Group, which helped improve capacity building among the members.  Dr. Uzir thanked all AMS for their overwhelming support and encouragement in sharing their  experiences and expertise in assisting other member countries in developing statistical  capacity in accordance with the ACSS Strategic Plan 2021-2025 during the ACSS12. The AHAF  programme also encourages AMS to strengthen international cooperation to provide  high-quality national and ASEAN statistics. Malaysia strongly encourages expanding this AHAF  sharing platform and ensures that each implementation of the programme or activity achieves  the desired goal. During the ACSS12, DOSM shared Malaysia latest developments,  best practices and experiences on NSO’s Roles in National Data Governance and  Data Stewardship as Malaysia is currently adapting and evolving its data ecosystem.

On 25^th and 26^th April 2022, Malaysia as the lead country for the ACSS 2022 Big Data Project  provided technical assistance on “Price Statistics” to Lao Statistics Bureau (LSB) by sharing  exercises Octoparse software to collect prices of various products from websites that were  suggested by LSB.

DOSM would like to congratulate ASEAN Member States that have  successfully participated in the ACSS 2022 Big Data Project and will always be committed to  assisting AMS in capacity building to ensure the success of the project. Dr. Uzir said, “DOSM  will also be participating again in ACSS 2023 Big Data Pilot Project with another new project  on Poverty Estimation with Satellite Imagery and we encourage all AMS to participate again in  our next pilot project”.

Malaysia is looking forward to participating in the 13^th Session of the ASEAN Community  Statistical System (ACSS13) Committee which will be held from 22^nd to 24^th November 2023  and will be chaired by Statistics Indonesia.

In its Limited-Edition Visa FIFA-Themed Credit Card-i Campaign, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) today announced the names of 192 winners. In addition to travel to Qatar to see two World Cup quarterfinal matches, the two grand prize winners will also get cash awards worth RM10,000 and additional prizes like hotel stays and return tickets.

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 NOVEMER 2022 – Pengembaraan kumpulan ini, yang bermula pada 2015, telah menghasilkan banyak kemenangan yang lazat, meletakkan Insomniack dalam liga mereka sendiri dalam landskap seni hiburan negara.

Lebih menarik, video muzik IGAUAN MALAM turut dilancarkan di YouTube rasmi Insomniacks pada 18 November yang lalu.

Bercerita mengenai buah tangan terbaharu ini, IGAUAN MALAM bercerita mengenai seseorang yang sentiasa dihantui oleh pemikiran negatif dan berjuang untuk keluar daripada kesukaran itu.

Iqie selaku vokalis pertama berkata, Iagu IGAUAN MALAM adalah ciptaan dia bersama Iskandar dan Danial manakala liriknya ditulis oleh mereka bertiga dengan Gavin dan Maniacks.

“Penulisan lirik lagu ini sudah mula dibuat sekitar Mac 2020. Ketika itu, kami sedang sibuk menyiapkan album EP sulung berjudul Kepala Batu dan hanya sempat menghasilkan bahagian korus.

“Kemudian lagu itu disimpan rapi sehinggalah satu hari ketika sesi siaran langsung di YouTube, kami mengambil keputusan untuk menyiapkan lagu itu bersama penyokong Insomniacks.

“Kami begitu teruja dan seronok dapat bertukar idea dengan mereka. Malah lirik lagu ini turut dapat disiapkan dengan mesej positif yang cuba disampaikan.

“Kami melalui proses rakaman dengan Taja. Kerjasama dengan Taja juga bukan kali pertama, sebaliknya banyak lagu kami dihasilkan bersama. Jadi dia faham apa yang kami mahu dan proses itu berjalan dengan mudah,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Iskandar berkata, video muzik IGAUAN MALAM menerapkan elemen hantu dan mimpi ngeri bagi menyuntik kelainan kepada single terbaharu itu.

“Kami membuat video muzik yang agak seram dengan menetapkan elemen hantu dan mimpi ngeri. Sebagai sebuah kumpulan, kami masih menerapkan nilai persahabatan dan kebersamaan. Apa yang boleh saya katakana penghasilkan vdeo muzik ini antara naskhah yang kami banggakan.

“Video muzik ini diarahkan oleh rakan baik kami iaitu Thaqif Saadon dan Studio Quasa. Setakat ini, semua video muzik kami bekerjasama dengan Thaqif kerana kami selesa berkerja dengannya. Dia dan pasukannya sangat professional dan menetapkan standard yang tinggi sehingga kami terpukau dengan penghasilkan yang dipersembahkan,” katanya.

Dalam pada itu, Danial berkata, cabaran utama menyiapkan single terbabit adalah penantian untuk menunggu waktu bilakah lagu itu akan diperdengarkan kepada peminat.

“Setiap kali kami berjaya menyiapkan sebuah lagu, pasti kami berkobar-kobar untuk perdengarkan kepada peminat. Ini kerana, melancarkan lagu baharu adalah impian kami selain mahu melihat komen serta reaksi peminat terhadap lagu yang dibawakan.

“Justeru, kami berharap peminat akan berbangga dengan hadiah terbaharu ini kerana Igauan Mimpi boleh dikatakan karya kita bersama sebagai sebuah keluarga. Kami juga berharap lagu ini dapat didengari oleh seseorang yang mungkin pernah berdepan kehilangan atau kesunyian. Kami berharap lagu ini dapat memberi sedikit senyuman kepada mereka,” katanya.

Insomniacks juga bakal melancarkan album pertama mereka di bawah naungan Universal Music Malaysia pada awal tahun hadapan.

Siri The Happy Ghost kembali dengan siri yang ketiga iaitu Happy Ghost III dan bakal ditayangkan pada 2 Disember 2022. Mengisahkan tentang seorang penyanyi muda, Tsui Pan Han yang ingin dilahirkan semula di dalam keluarga berlatar belakang muzik. Pan Han perlu sampai ke hospital sebelum bakal ibunya itu bersalin. Siri terakhir filem komedi seram Hong Kong ini diteruskan lagi dengan Happy Ghost V yang akan disiarkan pada 16 Disember 2022. Filem ini mengisahkan tentang Magic seekor anjing, lakonan Raymond Wong. Magic merupakan seekor anjing yang dimiliki oleh Kathy. Jack, teman lelaki Kathy telah menjaga Magic sementara Kathy ke Amerika selama seminggu. Magic tidak dijaga dengan elok oleh Jack sehingga Magic telah merayau ke kuil. Magic bertemu dengan Happy Ghost dan membuat perjanjian untuk menjadi manusia selama 44 hari. Magic bertemu dengan Kathy dan mula jatuh hati terhadap tuannya sendiri. Magic tidak dapat berterus-terang kepada Kathy siapa dirinya sebenar! 

Filem aksi Bollywood, Dabangg akan ditayangkan pada 23 Disember 2022. Filem ini diarahkan oleh Abhinav Kashyap, dan dihasilkan oleh Arbaaz Khan melalui Arbaaz Khan Productions. Hubungan Chulbul dan bapa tirinya tidak baik. Chedi Singh (Sonu Sood) merupakan seorang ahli politik yang korup. Looking at the throwback highlights, we can still feel the passion encapsulated in each moment. It will inspire and motivate us forever.

When people lose their faith and strength in times of hardship, revisiting inspiring moments in sports helps them find their second wind.

For fans of the UEFA Champions League to relive the strong emotions of the most exciting games in history, OPPO hosted a global campaign to vote for the competition’s top three inspiring games of all time. This was followed by actually finding those who witnessed the game during the time, then interviewing them and finally bringing these stories of inspiration to everyone. As part of the campaign “Inspirational Game”, OPPO believes that these stories strike up conversations between strangers and unify football fans. Furthermore, it rekindles the passion for the game to inspire more people around the world.

“Going to the stadium to watch a game always draws out your best memory,” Nam Kunn, a graphic designer and photographer based in Paris told us, “Football always brings the strongest emotions from us and it never makes you bored,” he said. As a supporter of PSG since 2000, Nam was a field photographer who happened to witness the amazing 4-0 during the first leg between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, and the histrionic 1-6 during the second. The strongest emotions that football gave him continue to inspire his life till this day.

As Nam puts it, supporting a club is more than a logo or a jersey. It describes your values, philosophy, and life. Deriving from his love for football, Nam was inspired to start a project to record the most inspiring moments of his travels, which include fashion, photography, and of course football. For him, football is a sport about cultural diversity, a sport for everyone to connect and share their passion.

Tonín el torero, a hardcore fan who holds another identity as the owner of a famous pub in Madrid would agree with Nam. He shared with us the inspiring moments when his pub brought total strangers from different countries together with football. “The passion for Real Madrid builds bonds.” Tonín recalls the time fans went wild when their team scored an amazing goal. That memory was a perfect depiction of a community coming together to embrace joy and hope.

Football invokes our emotions and inspires underdogs to outperform their opponents. We’ve heard so many stories from football fans, however, OPPO is lucky to have interviewed Mike Ferney, a visually-impaired fan who enjoys matches in a different way.

“How could someone who is visually-impaired enjoy a football match in a stadium?” you might ask. The answer is passion. The passion for football he had since childhood has now turned into a lifelong love, and all of the matches that he experienced has become an unstoppable force that drives him ahead. 

Mike Ferney was diagnosed with visual impairment from birth, but this has not affected his zeal for football and Liverpool which started from a young age and has continued to this day. Though life with impaired vision is difficult at times, Liverpool’s victory at Istanbul moved him deeply at the age of 13. There he learned the life lesson “never give up,” and Mike describes it as his biggest takeaway from Istanbul 2005.

“It’s being three nil down against one of the best teams in Europe,” Mike still remembers that feeling of intensity while recounting the story, “It could have been easy to roll over and give up, but they carried on. And I think the moment is short. Then things that happen help me believe that, even though it is just football, it can be tied to a life lesson.”

Mike’s cousin Stephen assists him by giving him a visual description of everything that’s happening on the field, and he enjoys standing in the stadium to experience the matches. For Mike, there are more senses to feel at a matchup than simply watching it. There is a special energy when you stand in the stadium with the crowd around, Mike calls it the “feeling of synergy,” and that goes beyond visual aspects to various sensations like the noise of fans celebrating and the ground beneath him shaking. Therefore, even with his visual impairment, Mike still experiences the games to a great extent and gains inspiration from football.

For Mike, inspiration also means never giving up on his passion for life and inspiring more people with his story. When life gets tough, Mike chooses to go to matches to feel the vibe. The relentless attitude is deeply rooted into his life and also encouraged a group of fans through the bond of Liverpool. Mike started a podcast named “Unfair Rap”, where he retells his story and meets new friends with shared interests and passion. It is always a pleasure for him to inspire the people around him. 

There are many people like Mike who are inspired by the passion for football, and how advancements in technology allow us to better enjoy and record the game with pocket-sized devices, freezing the seconds of inspiration into everlasting memories. OPPO has been exploring more ways for people to enjoy sports under the brand proposition “Inspiration Ahead”, especially through assistive technology for people like Mike who have visual impairments or other disabilities to experience more inspiration in their lives. For example, the Color Vision Enhancement Technology, which made its debut on the OPPO Find X3 series, was designed to improve color identification abilities for those who suffer from color vision deficiency. Thanks to the technology, the screen displays more accurate colors.

OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator, which issued a focus on accessible technology, was also a success this year. The accelerator aimed to turn world-changing ideas into reality. Among the winning proposals, we were glad to see innovative ideas like “machine vision solutions for the visually impaired”, and “exclusive mobile phones for the hearing-impaired”. These proposals addressed pressing social issues that deserve our concern. 

Guided by the brand proposition “Inspiration Ahead”, OPPO will continue to explore meaningful innovations regardless of the difficulties that lie ahead. The search for witnesses for “Inspirational Games” is not an ending; on the contrary, it marks a new beginning. OPPO will help more people enjoy the inspiration in life, and everyone can become a witness to their own moments of inspiration.

Hanya Tanya ialah single pertama artis Singapura di bawah Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd. Sebagai artis solo, beliau telah mengeluarkan tiga single: Teman Imaginasi, Tanya Lagi Ok?, dan Heart Whispers. Lagu ini ditulis semata-mata oleh Rico dan dihasilkan dengan kerjasama Rayhul Firdaus, abangnya dan seseorang yang pernah bekerjasama dengannya dalam projek terdahulu.

Begitu juga dengan Rifaah Ridzuwanulhakim, abang beliau yang merupakan produser kepada lagu Hanya Tanya dan juga pembikin video lirik yang sedia dilayani di Youtube sekarang. Ketiga adik-beradik ini sering berkolaborasi dan mengeluarkan karya bersama dalam pelbagai perkara yang melibatkan seni seperti konten video dan muzik.

Daripada picitan chord yang rambang di atas ukulele terlahir satu susunan yang, menurut beliau, masih tak dapat dipastikan sehingga sekarang namun telah menangkap hati dan bermain di fikiran mereka pada waktu itu lalu menjadi sebuah lagu. Menurut Rico, pada waktu penulisan lagu itu (2018) sebelum Kerjasama beliau dengan Luncai Emas, lagu ini pernah dirakam dalam versi dan genre yang amat berbeza iaitu dalam gaya Pop RnB.

Dengan harapan untuk membawa Rico kea rah konsep yang baru, pihak kreatif Luncai Emas bersama Rico telah membuat keputusan untuk mengekalkan melodi lagu Hanya Tanya, sambal memakai gubahan ala-ala muzik pop 80-an, yang sesuai kepada gaya tenaga persembahan Rico di atas pentas. Usaha ini telah dilaksanakan dengan Kerjasama Reyna Hamizan, yang merupakan arranger Hanya Tanya yang telah memberikan lagu ini perisa 80-annya.

Pembikinan lagu ini bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah. Akibat wabak Covid-19, rakaman mereka yang sepatutnya berlangsung di Malaysia waktu itu tergendala apabila PKP diumumkan pada hari yang sama. Walau bagaimanapun Rico tetap berusaha dan mengambil risiko untuk menyeberang dan akhirnya tersiap juga rakaman tersebut.

Sejak penemuannya oleh pihak kreatif Luncai Emas pada tahun 2019, beliau merupakan seorang artis yang dinanti-nantikan karyanya kerana suara beliau yang lunak dan unik, dan kebolehan beliau untuk membawa pelbagai genre dan gaya nyanyian. Latar belakangnya dalam bidang nyanyian juga menjadi bukti kepada semangat dan kebolehan beliau, setelah menyertai pelbagai jenis pertandingan nyanyian dari umur yang kecil lagi. Malah sehingga ke Sepanyol beliau membawa diri untuk menyertai pertandingan nyanyian. Selain daripada nyanyian, bakat beliau dalam pelbagai aspek seni yang lain seperti lakonan dan komedi membuatnya seorang artis yang mempunyai pakej yang penuh.

Malaysians frequently mention the entrance by terrorists from the Southern Philippines back in 2013 when referring to Lahad Datu, which horrified the whole country. Lahad Datu, the fourth-largest city in Sabah, has now recovered from the catastrophe and gone on. It has a fascinating history that not many people are aware of. For those looking for nature, Lahad Datu is also a haven with a variety of plants and animals.

Come along on my journey and discover the treasures of Lahad Datu for yourself!

Day 1

Once we arrived, the first place we go is Tawau Tanjung Market. It is claimed to be the biggest indoor market in all of Malaysia and has 6,000 booths. It’s a local market where you may look around and learn about the culture while also exploring local items.

Here, you may get a wide range of fresh foods. You could find whatever it is that makes Sabah special here. Cheap, amiable aunts and uncles with a wide selection of goods sold in one store are excellent buys. must visit at least once when visiting Sabah.

After a hectic day, we checked in at My-Inn Hotel to refresh ourselves and get ready for the dinner. We choose Restoran LD, Lahad Datu as the best place since the concept Welcome Dinner with “Shell Out”.

Day 2

We went to Gua Tepadung after taking a breakfast. Gua Tepadung is home to many captivating tales. There are over 100 little caverns, each with unique features and surroundings. Gua Tepadung was a hub for the manufacture of the white bird’s nests managed by the Ida’an community from generation to generation till now during the British North Borneo Chartered Company’s control of Segama.

Next, we visited Gudang Tembakau in the afternoon. Although Gudang Tembakau is merely waiting for time to crumble, it is one of the historical gems that still remains unaltered in the Land of Segama. This warehouse continues to stand as proof to the outside world that Segama is one of the historical locations that should not be forgotten. At the time, Segama Estate was the biggest tobacco grower in Borneo and one of the estates in the world that produces tobacco of the greatest quality.

Experience-based activities at Kg. Segama Lama with the neighbourhood Because Kampung Segama Lama used to be the largest tobacco estate in Borneo during the British rule, the settlement has significant historical importance. One of the historical sites in this hamlet is Gudang Tembakau.

We also get a tour around at Segama ATV Park. Visitors who enjoy extreme sports must visit Segama ATV Park in Segama village, Lahad Datu. The all-terrain vehicle (ATV) route is a little difficult since it is located in a palm plantation region, but it is also thrilling at the same time, especially on wet days when it may be difficult because the track is slick, giving you an adrenaline rush. You will practise getting acclimated to the ATV by riding along a designated circuit before starting on the actual path. I rode the ATV around the circuit a few times to become acquainted.

Day 3

Depart to Blue Ring Hole & enjoy snorkeling. Travelers who love water-based pursuits like diving and snorkelling might stop at the Blue Ring Reef at Lahad Datu, which was formerly known as the “Blue Lagoon” before it was commercialised. It takes roughly 20 minutes to go reach the Blue Ring Reef from Payang Jetty. At the Blue Ring Reef, snorkelers may see a variety of corals and marine life. Avoid stepping on sea urchins and coral by taking caution. In addition, I got the chance to travel to Pulau Baik, which is close to the Blue Ring Reef, and go snorkelling there to observe the wreckage known as the “Japanese Timber Wreck,” which is claimed to have sunk more than 30 years ago as a result of overload.

Our journey for the next place is Tower of Heaven. The public debut of Tower of Heaven took place in April 2012 after its completion in 2011. The observation tower is the highest point in the Lahad Datu region and rises 30 metres above Mount Silam’s ultramafic coastal forest at an elevation of 884 metres above sea level. The Darvel Bay Islands and Lahad Datu Town are perfectly and serenely seen from above thanks to this. The tower also provides wonderful views of Mount Silam’s forest and birdlife to those who are interested in plants and animals.

Day 4

Exploring Irunji Agrotourism. This agrotourism project, which takes its name from the proprietor, Irunji Bin Haji Parija, is now prosperous. Before converting his business into an agrotourism destination in 2019 on the advise of the Sabah Tourism Board, Mr. Irunji initially just raised fish in cages. Fishing, feeding fish, kayaking, and swimming with the fish are a few of the activities. The activities are intriguing to me since I’ve never totally submerged myself in a body of water filled with enormous yet friendly fish. Then, we wen to Eco Print with Batik Block & Shibori Demonstration. Do you know that Lahad Datu has a facility named Alnisya Collection that creates batik artwork? You may learn more about making batiks out of natural materials here. I had the chance to use the hammering technique to create my own batik pattern. Real leaves that serve as design elements are first soaked, and then they are dried with tissue. The cloth is then used to spread out the leaves to dry. After that, the leaves are pounded with a rubber mallet to imprint the designs on the cloth, which I find quite fascinating, especially when utilising this method to create batik. Pokok Jati (Teak) and Telang are two of the leaves that are used (Blue Pea).
