    Nothing Launches Phone (3) and Headphone (1) in Malaysia

    London-based technology brand Nothing has officially launched its most advanced product lineup to date in Malaysia: the flagship Nothing Phone (3) and its first over-ear audio device, Headphone (1). With a clear vision to redefine the everyday tech experience through expressive design, intuitive features, and AI-powered functionality, the launch marks a major step forward for the brand in the Southeast Asian market.

    Nothing Phone (3) represents a leap into flagship territory, bringing together high-performance hardware, advanced imaging capabilities, and a distinctive transparent design. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, offering significant performance improvements over its predecessor. The device is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display featuring a sharp 1.5K resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and ultra-thin bezels, delivering a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 93 percent. It also includes advanced eye-friendly features such as 2160Hz PWM dimming and Ultra HDR support.

    The rear camera system includes a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, lossless optical zoom, full optical image stabilization, and the ability to record in 4K at 60 frames per second across all lenses. Developed in collaboration with professional photographers, the device comes with built-in cinematic presets for content creators.

    One of the standout features of the Phone (3) is the redesigned Glyph Matrix, a programmable LED interface that offers glanceable notifications, real-time progress indicators, and even playful experiences like micro-games. Additional features include contact-based pixel avatars and new Glyph Toys, offering unique ways to interact with the phone without turning on the display.

    Running on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, the software experience integrates several AI tools including Essential Search, Flip to Record, and Essential Space a productivity assistant designed to handle notes, reminders, and content summaries. The brand also commits to long-term support, promising five years of Android updates and seven years of security patches.

    Powering the device is a 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The Phone (3) will be available in black and white, with retail prices starting at RM3,299 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and RM3,799 for the 16GB + 512GB model. Early access sales begin on 19 July at CROSSOVER in Sunway Pyramid, with open sales starting 1 August at official online stores and major retailers.

    In addition to the Phone (3), Nothing also introduced its first over-ear audio device, the Headphone (1), designed in collaboration with British audio specialists KEF. The Headphone (1) combines futuristic aesthetics with precision engineering, featuring transparent elements, aluminium accents, and ergonomic PU memory foam cushions. The design replaces conventional touch gestures with tactile physical controls such as a roller, paddle, and button, allowing for intuitive interaction even during movement.

    The headphones feature custom 40mm dynamic drivers tuned by KEF, delivering deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. They support Spatial Audio, LDAC, USB-C lossless audio, and come with a 3.5mm jack for flexible connectivity. Advanced adaptive active noise cancellation, Transparency Mode, and a four-microphone AI noise reduction system ensure clear calls in any environment. With up to 35 hours of playback time with ANC enabled and quick charging support, users can enjoy 2.4 hours of usage with just a 5-minute charge.

    A highlight feature is the Adaptive One-Tap AI Button, which activates the Folax assistant, enables quick voice notes using Essential Space, and allows users to switch between favorite apps with a feature called Channel Hop. The audio experience can also be customized through the Nothing X app, which includes an 8-band equalizer.

    Headphone (1) is priced at RM1,099 and is available in black and white. Pre-orders begin on 12 July and include a free protective cover, with general availability starting 1 August 2025.

    Both Phone (3) and Headphone (1) will be available through Nothing’s official online stores, including Nothing.tech, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as through authorized retailers such as DirectD, TMT, Urban Republic, and Vivid Concepts. Selected telecommunications partners including U Mobile and Yes5G will also offer the devices.

    UTM & Belati Wangsa Perkenal Inovasi Jalan Raya Lestari Melalui Teknologi Asfalt Terpulih (RAP)

    Dalam usaha memperkasa pembangunan infrastruktur yang mampan, Institut Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (ISI-UTM) mengorak langkah besar dengan menjalin kerjasama strategik bersama syarikat penyelenggaraan jalan terkemuka, Belati Wangsa Sdn. Bhd., bagi membangunkan Turapan Asfalt Terpulih (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement – RAP) untuk kegunaan pembinaan dan penyelenggaraan jalan raya di Malaysia.

    Produk inovatif ini memanfaatkan semula bahan buangan daripada kerja baik pulih jalan raya turapan lama yang sebelum ini dibuang, kini diproses menjadi bahan baharu yang boleh digunakan semula secara berkesan. Gabungan teknologi turapan lestari dan peralatan canggih dalam kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan ini mampu mengurangkan kebergantungan terhadap bahan mentah baharu, seterusnya menyumbang kepada penjimatan tenaga, pengurangan sisa, dan pengurangan pelepasan karbon dalam industri pembinaan jalan raya.

    Menurut Profesor Dr. Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim, Naib Canselor UTM, “Teknologi RAP menawarkan potensi besar dalam industri pembinaan jalan raya. Ia terbukti sebagai alternatif yang lebih kos efektif berbanding asfalt campuran panas asli (HMA), selain memberikan impak positif terhadap kelestarian alam sekitar.”

    Kerjasama ini turut mendapat sokongan kukuh daripada pihak industri. Encik Mohamad Akmal Johari, Pengarah Belati Wangsa Sdn. Bhd. berkata, “Kami komited terhadap pembangunan penyelesaian teknologi penyelenggaraan jalan yang mampan. Dengan pengurangan penggunaan sumber asli dan pelepasan karbon, inisiatif ini seiring dengan usaha ke arah mencapai sasaran karbon sifar bersih negara.”

    Kos penyelenggaraan jalan raya di Malaysia kini mencecah sekitar RM4 bilion setahun, menunjukkan keperluan mendesak terhadap solusi yang lebih lestari dan efisien. Maka, pendekatan seperti RAP bukan sahaja menjimatkan kos tetapi turut menyokong matlamat pembangunan mampan negara.

    Penyelidikan ini turut mengaplikasi pendekatan Whole Life Cycle Costing (WLCC), iaitu kaedah penilaian ekonomi yang mengambil kira keseluruhan kos turapan sepanjang hayatnya dari fasa perancangan dan pembinaan, hingga penyelenggaraan dan kitar semula. Profesor Madya Sr Dr Sarajul Fikri Mohamed, Ketua Projek UTM menegaskan, “Penjimatan yang dilihat bukan hanya pada peringkat awal tetapi sepanjang hayat projek, termasuk impaknya terhadap ekonomi dan alam sekitar.”

    UTM melalui dua kumpulan penyelidikan Construction Economics, Law and Policy (CELP) dari Fakulti Alam Bina dan Ukur (FABU), serta Pavement & Transportation Research Group (PTRG) dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan Awam (FKA) berperanan penting dalam pembangunan teknologi ini. Produk akhir yang sedang dibangunkan kini dalam proses untuk dipatenkan secara bersama oleh UTM dan Belati Wangsa.

    Inisiatif ini membuktikan bagaimana kolaborasi antara akademia dan industri mampu membawa perubahan bermakna dalam landskap infrastruktur negara. Turapan Asfalt Terpulih dijangka menjadi pemangkin kepada sistem penyelenggaraan jalan yang lebih hijau, pintar dan tahan lama seiring dengan aspirasi Malaysia ke arah pembangunan lestari dan teknologi tinggi.

    Tulus dan Juicy Luicy bakal bergabung dalam sebuah festival muzik yang dinanti-nantikan ramai, Ruang Inspirasi Festival (RIF) 2025 yang akan berlangsung pada Ahad, 17 Ogos 2025 di Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur. Festival ini menjanjikan satu pengalaman muzik yang bukan sahaja menghiburkan tetapi juga menyentuh emosi dan memberi inspirasi kepada penonton.

    RIF 2025 dianjurkan oleh Expoindo bersama penganjur tempatan, Thrive, dan hadir dengan konsep unik yang menggabungkan persembahan muzik dengan elemen perkongsian kisah di sebalik karya-karya popular artis jemputan.     Dua nama besar dalam industri muzik Indonesia, Andmesh Kamaleng dan Ziva Magnolya, bakal menggamatkan pentas Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) pada 9 Ogos 2025 dalam Festival Tentang Cinta, sebuah konsert mega anjuran Extreme Visionary Venture yang menghimpunkan artis serantau dari Malaysia dan Indonesia.

    Konsert berskala besar ini dijangka menjadi antara acara muzik terbesar di Sabah tahun ini, menampilkan barisan artis popular seperti Ara Johari, Adira Suhaimi, Hael Husaini dan bintang dari Filipina, Mary Grace. Starting today, riders can sync their flight details when scheduling a ride from the airport, allowing Bolt to automatically adjust pickup times or cancel rides at no extra charge if a flight is delayed or cancelled.

    To use the feature, customers simply tap the ‘Schedule’ button in the Bolt app and set their pickup location at either Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KLIA1) or Terminal 2 (KLIA2). After entering their destination, they can tap ‘Add Flight Details’ and input their flight number, airline, or departure city. They can also select how many minutes after landing they’d like to be picked up. If there are changes to the flight status, Bolt will automatically update or cancel the Scheduled Ride accordingly.
