Bateriku & SVOLT Form Strategic Alliance to Enhance EV Support for Malaysian Owners

Bateriku and SVOLT Energy Technology Co. Ltd. have formally entered into a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development of Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) after-sales support ecosystem. Announced on 21 April 2026, this collaboration addresses a critical requirement for the domestic automotive industry as it transitions toward large-scale electrification: the establishment of a specialized, reliable, and accessible technical support network to bolster consumer confidence in EV ownership.

SVOLT, a global leader in high-performance battery technology and a primary supplier to international automotive brands such as Geely and Great Wall Motors, already plays a pivotal role in the Malaysian market, with its technology currently integrated into the Proton e.MAS 5. Through this partnership, Bateriku will leverage SVOLT’s global technical expertise to enhance its service capabilities, focusing on sophisticated EV battery diagnostics, comprehensive on-site technical assistance, and structured battery replacement protocols. This expansion ensures that the rising number of EV owners in Malaysia will have access to professional maintenance services that meet international safety and performance standards.

The agreement also prioritizes the advancement of local human capital through a dedicated series of upskilling and training programs. These initiatives are designed to equip the Bateriku workforce with specialized knowledge in battery handling and diagnostic procedures, ensuring the local talent pool remains competitive in an increasingly technology-driven landscape. By focusing on technical proficiency, the partnership ensures that the infrastructure for EV maintenance is not only robust but also sustainable and driven by local expertise.

The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony at SVOLT’s facility in the Jintan District of Changzhou City, China, officiated by Yingtao Hao, Director of SVOLT Energy Technology Co. Ltd., and Azarol Faizi, Chief Executive Officer of Bateriku. During the event, Azarol Faizi remarked that the alliance is fundamental to instilling long-term confidence among Malaysian EV owners by guaranteeing the availability of efficient after-sales support. Yingtao Hao echoed this sentiment, noting that the combination of SVOLT’s technological leadership and Bateriku’s extensive operational network will deliver a safer and more seamless ownership experience. This strategic collaboration stands as a significant catalyst in Malaysia’s pursuit of a greener, smarter, and more sustainable mobility future.
