    As part of the campaign, HUAWEI recently hosted the “Discover Truly Malaysia” workshop at the HUAWEI Experience Store at The Exchange TRX on 25 July 2026. The workshop offered photography enthusiasts an opportunity to explore mobile photography through hands-on activities, including composition guidance, outdoor photography sessions and creative sticker printing. Participants also had the opportunity to experience the imaging capabilities of the latest HUAWEI Pura 90s Series.

    The HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2026 Malaysia features nine photography categories, giving participants multiple avenues to showcase their creative approaches. So Far So Close focuses on perspective and distance, while Colour & Shade explores colour and light. Good Night highlights photography captured after dark, while Faces focuses on portraits and human expression. Other categories include A Heartwarming World, Experimental Lab, Active Moments, Storyboard and Action, covering themes such as everyday connections, creative experimentation, movement and visual storytelling.

    Malaysian participants stand to receive a range of HUAWEI prizes through the awards. The Grand Prize winner will receive a HUAWEI Mate X7, while two First Runner-up winners will each receive a HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro. Ten Second Runner-up winners will each receive a HUAWEI FreeClip 2, while 15 Honourable Mention recipients will receive a HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5. All winners will also receive an official trophy.
