MEDIWIRA Maps Aggressive Expansion Plan, Eyeing 100 Outlets by 2030

Healthcare provider i-Sihat Group has officially announced a comprehensive rebranding exercise, emerging as Mediwira Group. The strategic transformation comes alongside a rapid corporate expansion plan, with the group setting its sights on establishing at least 25 outlets by the end of this year, marking a nearly 50% increase from 2025 numbers—and a long-term target of 100 outlets nationwide by 2030.

The announcement was made during the group’s official brand unveiling event in Johor, which also marked the launch of a new medical clinic in the state, with a dedicated medispa outlet scheduled to open next month. The new additions bring Mediwira Group’s current portfolio to 21 operational outlets across Malaysia, comprising 12 dental clinics, 7 medical clinics, and 2 medispa outlets, with a primary footprint in the Klang Valley, Johor, and Sabah.

This aggressive growth strategy is positioned to capitalize on Malaysia’s expanding healthcare market. Driven by an aging demographic, a rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and a booming medical tourism sector, the national medical sector is projected to reach a valuation of USD 30 billion by 2027.

The officiating guest of honor, YB Tuan Hassan Abdul Karim, Member of Parliament for Pasir Gudang, emphasized the critical role of private primary care in the current ecosystem. “With the current state of the nation’s healthcare landscape, the private clinic space has become increasingly vital. It bridges the gap between the public healthcare system and the upper tiers of healthcare specialists. It is here that I believe Mediwira will contribute significantly,” he noted, praising the group’s inclusive approach to healthcare delivery.

First established in 2012 by founding partners Dr. Nandagobala, Dr. Ratna, Dr. Mok Chi Chien, and Dr. Lavan, the group has evolved from its roots as i-Sihat into a diversified, one-stop clinical solution provider. Over its 14 years of operations, the provider has treated more than half a million patients across its specialized divisions. Mediwira Medical covers general practice, pediatrics, women’s health, and chronic disease management, and is set to integrate clinical psychology services. Mediwira Dental focuses on family, orthodontic, and implant dentistry, while Mediwira Medispa offers doctor-supervised, medical-grade aesthetic and body contouring treatments at accessible price points.

Commenting on the corporate milestone, Dr. Nanda, partner at Mediwira Group, stated, “We chose the name Mediwira to embrace our roles as healthcare heroes, symbolizing our commitment to quality care and service. In our 14 years of operation, we have welcomed over half a million patients. That isn’t just a business number, it is half a million times a patient has trusted us. When you walk into any Mediwira clinic, you’re walking into a family that’s been quietly caring for Malaysians for over a decade.”

Aligning its commercial growth with corporate social responsibility, the event also marked the launch of Mediwira’s ‘Food Aid’ community initiative. The ongoing program pledges to donate essential food and daily supplies to at least 10 underserved families each month, kicking off its inaugural session by distributing RM 120 worth of provisions to 15 families in the local community.

As Mediwira Group embarks on its multi-year expansion toward the 100-outlet milestone, the company has indicated that it is actively welcoming strategic partnerships and collaborative opportunities to accelerate its market reach.
