    MR D.I.Y. [Malaysia] Berhad recently brought the true spirit of togetherness to life at its 2026 Hari Raya Open House, ‘Raya Sama-Sama’. Held at the Glasshouse at Seputeh, the event gathered 300 guests for an evening dedicated to culture, connection, and community.

    The celebration featured special appearances by Alif Satar and his band, The Locos. Alif, who stars as Izzat in MR D.I.Y.’s viral Raya webfilm “Raya Sama-Sama,” brought the campaign’s narrative to life for fans and guests. To date, the webfilm has achieved a staggering 51 million views, underscoring its deep resonance with audiences nationwide.

    The event also served as a grand finale for the ‘Raya Sama-Sama Dance Challenge,’ where winners were invited to celebrate alongside the stars. Guests were treated to traditional performances, hands-on festive workshops, and a spread of iconic Raya delicacies.

    Alex Goh, Vice President of Marketing at MR D.I.Y. Group, shared, “At MR D.I.Y., we believe that Hari Raya is best celebrated together. Through ‘Raya Sama-Sama,’ we aim to bring people closer through shared experiences and joyful traditions. Seeing everyone celebrate as one is truly heartening.”

    The night concluded with guests and performers joining forces on the dance floor for a lively rendition of the ‘Raya Sama-Sama’ dance, perfectly capturing the theme of unity at the heart of the campaign.

    In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, MR D.I.Y. Group, through its philanthropic arm Yayasan MR D.I.Y., continued its annual outreach initiative, ‘Raya Sama-Sama’, reaffirming its commitment to community care and inclusivity. The initiative embodies the true essence of Aidilfitri—bringing people together, fostering compassion, and ensuring that no one is left behind during the festive season.

    As part of this nationwide effort, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. extended support to 13 charitable homes across Malaysia, contributing a total of RM21,000 to assist with festive preparations and essential daily needs. Each home received specially curated ‘Raya Sama-Sama’ care boxes, filled with Hari Raya decorations, household essentials, and MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers. These contributions enabled the homes to create a warmer, more meaningful celebration environment for their residents.

    The initiative positively impacted over 820 individuals, including children, caretakers, senior citizens, and underprivileged families. By providing both practical support and festive cheer, the programme ensured that beneficiaries could experience the joy, warmth, and togetherness that define Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

    According to Chief Executive Officer Zaleha Mohd Mydin, the initiative reflects the deeper meaning of the celebration. She shared that Hari Raya is a time for connection, gratitude, and shared moments, and through ‘Raya Sama-Sama’, the foundation hopes to remind communities that they are surrounded by care and kindness during this special season.

    At Rumah Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu in Ampang, volunteers brought the celebration to life through engaging activities with the children, including interactive games and a lively dance session. The children also participated in decorating their home with festive items, creating a joyful and welcoming atmosphere. During the visit, MR D.I.Y. Group’s Vice President of Marketing, Alex Goh, presented RM3,000 worth of cash vouchers, along with goodie bags, green packets, and essential household items to support the home’s ongoing needs.

    Complementing these outreach efforts, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. also organised bubur lambuk distribution sessions at Masjid Taman Bukit Belimbing on 26 February, 5 March, and 12 March 2026. The initiative reached 5,000 recipients, further extending the spirit of generosity and community sharing beyond the charity homes.

    Festive cheer and laughter filled the space as residents and volunteers came together for Raya Sama-Sama, enjoying decorations, thoughtful gifts and the lively presence of the MR D.I.Y. PANDAi mascot.

    Through ‘Raya Sama-Sama’, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. continues to demonstrate how meaningful initiatives can uplift communities and strengthen bonds during festive seasons. By combining charitable contributions with genuine human connection, the programme highlights the importance of togetherness, compassion, and shared joy in celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

    Sempena sambutan Aidilfitri 2026, MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad Malaysia kembali dengan filem web perayaan terbaharunya berjudul “Raya Sama-Sama”, sebuah naskhah ringkas namun sarat emosi yang mengetengahkan nilai kemaafan serta keindahan persamaan budaya antara Malaysia dan Indonesia. Menggabungkan elemen kekeluargaan, persahabatan dan semangat kebersamaan, karya berdurasi kira-kira lima minit ini tampil sebagai kesinambungan tradisi jenama tersebut dalam menghasilkan kisah raya yang dekat dengan realiti masyarakat majmuk.

    Filem ini dibintangi oleh penyanyi dan pelakon terkenal tanah air, Alif Satar, bersama dua bintang popular Indonesia, Teuku Wisnu dan Shireen Sungkar. Jalan ceritanya mengikuti perjalanan Izzat, seorang profesional Malaysia yang bekerja di Indonesia dan berdepan detik mencabar apabila ribut kuat menggagalkan hasratnya untuk pulang menyambut kelahiran anak sulung. Dalam keadaan terdesak, dia terpaksa menumpang di rumah rakan sekerjanya, Rian, yang sebelum ini sering menimbulkan rasa kurang senang.

Melalui sentuhan budaya yang halus dan penceritaan yang relatable, “Raya Sama-Sama” bukan sekadar hiburan musim perayaan, malah menjadi refleksi nilai sejagat yang menyatukan masyarakat serantau.

    Sejak dilancarkan di platform media sosial rasmi jenama itu termasuk Facebook, Instagram, TikTok dan YouTube, filem web ini telah mencatat lebih enam juta tontonan dalam tempoh beberapa hari, membuktikan sambutan hangat daripada penonton. Inisiatif ini sekali lagi mengukuhkan kedudukan MR D.I.Y. Malaysia sebagai jenama runcit yang bukan sahaja memenuhi keperluan harian, tetapi turut menyemarakkan nilai kekeluargaan dan perpaduan setiap kali musim perayaan tiba.
