SVOLT, a premier global manufacturer of high-performance battery technology and a strategic supplier to international entities such as Geely and Great Wall Motors, further underscores its significance in the local market through its technological integration in the Proton e.MAS 7.

    Under the terms of this alliance, Bateriku will significantly expand its operational capabilities to provide a more comprehensive suite of services tailored to the EV segment. During the proceedings, Azarol Faizi remarked that the collaboration serves to reinforce Bateriku’s commitment to providing Malaysian EV owners with efficient and reliable support solutions. These cars not only provide mobility but also represent more than 25,000 Malaysian families actively contributing to a greener, more sustainable society. Collectively, BYD owners help reduce over 62,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to planting nearly 2.5 million trees each year, enough to circle Malaysia’s coastline more than six times. This remarkable achievement highlights the significant environmental impact of BYD’s electric vehicles nationwide.

    Boasting the largest fully electric portfolio in Malaysia, BYD Sime Motors has launched seven models to date, led by the popular BYD ATTO 3, the volume leader in the C-segment SUV category. In 2025, the lineup expanded further with the introduction of BYD ATTO 2 and BYD SEAL 6, alongside a refreshed BYD SEAL. From entry-level sedans to premium SUVs and MPVs, BYD continues to meet the evolving demands of Malaysian drivers, offering vehicles that blend advanced technology, safety, and affordability.

    The spotlight is on the newly launched BYD 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu, marking the first-ever BYD 3S Centre in East Malaysia. This flagship facility, which spans over 1,288 square meters, offers a comprehensive suite of services, including sales consultations, vehicle test drives, and top-tier aftersales support. With a focus on providing customers with an easy and seamless experience, the 3S Centre is set to become a central hub for electric vehicle enthusiasts and potential buyers in the region.

    Strategically located at the Sedco Industrial Estate, the new centre is not only a sales and service facility but also a place where customers can discover BYD’s cutting-edge technology and sustainable electric vehicle offerings. Additionally, the centre boasts two high-speed DC Super Charger units with four charging guns, capable of delivering up to 180kW of power, making it one of the most advanced charging stations in East Malaysia.

    In line with Sime Motors’ commitment to expanding BYD’s footprint across East Malaysia, the company has also opened a new BYD showroom in Sibu, Sarawak, complementing the existing showroom in Kuching. These three showrooms are now fully operational, bringing the total number of BYD showrooms in East Malaysia to three.
