KUALA LUMPUR, June 19, 2026 – Malaysia’s iconic skyscraper, Merdeka 118, has achieved another remarkable milestone on the global stage after securing two prestigious World Gold awards at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2026. Recognised in both the Office and Sustainable Development categories, the achievement reinforces the landmark tower’s position as one of the world’s most outstanding real estate developments and a symbol of Malaysia’s architectural and engineering excellence.
The awards were presented during the 76th FIABCI World Real Estate Congress held in Vienna, where leading developments from around the world competed across 16 categories. Widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the global real estate industry, the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards celebrate projects that demonstrate excellence in design, sustainability, innovation, social impact and heritage value. The double victory follows Menara Merdeka 118’s success at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards 2025, where it also emerged as the top winner in the Office and Sustainable Development categories.
