“AKU STACY” CONCERT MAKES HISTORY AT SICC!

Last night, nearly 3,000 enthusiastic fans packed the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) to witness a historic milestone for Sabah’s beloved singer, Stacy Anam. Her first-ever mega solo concert, ‘Aku Stacy (Menggegar Kota U)’, brought the crowd to their feet with an electrifying performance that captured the heart of her hometown.

From the moment the lights dimmed and Stacy opened with the dynamic ‘Pakai Buang’, the energy was palpable. Draped in striking black, white, and red, Stacy delivered an unforgettable three-hour set, featuring fan favourites such as ‘Cakap Ke Tangan’, ‘Not For Sale’, ‘Gilalah’, ‘Bosan’, and her latest single ‘Menyala’.

One of the night’s unforgettable highlights was when Stacy ‘soared’ above the audience performing ‘Khayal’, igniting cheers across the venue. Emotional ballads like ‘Kisah Dongeng’ and ‘Pelangi Senja’ brought thousands of voices together in a powerful sing-along. The star also paid tribute to Sabah’s cultural heritage with a special rendition of ‘Asmaradana’, dressed in traditional Sabah-inspired attire.

The concert culminated with an explosive finale of ‘Aku Stacy’, the very song that launched her career nearly two decades ago symbolizing her incredible journey and enduring legacy.

A Romantic Interlude with Akim Ahmad
Stacy’s husband, Akim Ahmad, joined her for a romantic duet segment, performing English hit ‘Die With A Smile’ alongside other favourites ‘Aku, Kau & Muzik’ and ‘Ritma & Rima’. Akim then wowed the crowd solo with ‘Rampas’, showcasing his commanding vocal presence.

“This concert represents Rhythm & Rhyme’s biggest investment to date, and it exceeded every expectation. We’re immensely grateful to everyone involved,” Akim remarked.

Star-Studded Guest Appearances and Record-Breaking Glamour
The evening featured standout performances from Amir Masdi, Elica Paujin, Hafiz Zainal, and Dabra Sia, while comedian Atu Zero delighted the crowd with surprise comedic antics. Over three months of preparation, Stacy also made history by changing into 10 stunning couture outfits the highest number ever worn by a Malaysian artist in a single concert.

A Moment of Tribute and Reflection
In a touching moment during the press conference, Stacy fought back tears as she remembered her late brother Chaq, who introduced her to the music industry. “His spirit was with me on stage tonight, giving me the strength to perform with all my heart,” she shared.

Looking Ahead: A Possible Kuala Lumpur Tour?
Closing the night with optimism, Stacy hinted at plans to bring ‘Aku Stacy (Menggegar Kota U)’ to the Peninsular soon. “If Sabah could shake the SICC like this, I’m confident Kuala Lumpur is next,” she said.

Organized by Rhythm & Rhyme Entertainment and proudly presented by U Mobile, with support from official media partner Gempak and hotel partner Promenade Hotel, the concert was a triumphant celebration of Stacy’s career and her deep connection to Sabah.
