    Majlis Penyampaian Hadiah Kempen Bank Rakyat

    Bank Rakyat mengadakan majlis gilang-gemilang di Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat untuk meraikan 17 pemenang utama daripada kempen-kempen menarik mereka, termasuk ‘Tulus Ikhlas, Penuhi Impian, Cabutan Setengah Tahun Akaun Pelaburan-I Rizq Plus serta Emas 2 Kilo’. Kempen ini telah dianjurkan sejak penghujung tahun 2023 hingga Jun 2024, dan memberikan penghargaan kepada para pemenang yang bertuah.

    Bank Rakyat dengan bangganya mengumumkan empat kempen hebat yang kini sedang berlangsung. Kempen-kempen ini menawarkan hadiah keseluruhan yang amat lumayan, melebihi RM1.3 juta, yang akan dinikmati oleh 415 orang pemenang bertuah. Para pemenang ini terdiri daripada pelanggan setia yang menggunakan produk serta perkhidmatan Bank Rakyat. Peluang untuk memenangi hadiah-hadiah menarik ini merupakan cara Bank Rakyat menghargai sokongan berterusan pelanggan mereka dan menyambut kejayaan bersama-sama.

    “Sejak tujuh dekad yang lalu, Bank Rakyat sentiasa komited dalam melaksanakan pelbagai inisiatif untuk mengukuhkan jalinan antara Bank dengan pelanggan menerusi nilai tambah baharu serta ganjaran istimewa menerusi kempen yang dianjuakan khusus buat pelanggan,” ujar Dato’ Dr, Mohammad Hanis.

    Tambah beliau, inisiatif ini juga adalah bagi menghargai kesetiaan pelanggan yang terus menyokong produk dan perkhidmatan Bank Rakyat saban tahun.

    Sempena sambutan Ramadan dan Syawal yang lalu, Bank Rakyat menganjurkan kempen Tulus Ikhlas bermula 12 Mac hingga 31 Mei 2024 yang mana pelanggan berpeluang memenangi pelbagai hadiah lumayan dengan hadiah keseluruhan berjumlah lebih RM400,000.

    Pemenang tempat pertama kempen Tulus Ikhlas, Puan Siti Sarah Sayip, berasal dari Yong Peng, Johor membawa pulang Proton X90, manakala tempat kedua dimenangi oleh Encik Che Shariful Huzir Che Saari dari Kuantan, Pahang yang memenangi Proton X70 dan Encik Muhammad Farid Farhan Fazlee dari Kangsar, Perlis pula memenangi Proton X50.

    Di samping itu, bertepatan dengan aspirasi ‘Keluarga Madani’ Bank Rakyat menganjurkan kempen Penuhi Impian untuk membantu mencapai impian peribadi pelanggan. Kempen ini melambangkan komitmen Bank Rakyat sebagai institusi perbankan yang sentiasa mengutamakan pelanggan yang memerlukan dan memainkan peranan dalam mencapai impian pelanggan.

    Dianjurkan bermula 15 Disember tahun lalu, hingga 29 Februari 2024, kempen ini memenuhi hasrat 10 orang pelanggan dengan jumlah kos keseluruhan sebanyak RM177,000. Antara impian pelanggan yang direalisasikan termasuklah mengubah suai kediaman serta ruang dapur rumah, membiayai pakej perkahwinan idaman, menambah baik ruang kedai, perusahaan lading ternakan, tanaman dan banyak lagi.

    Pada hari itu juga Bank mengumumkan pemenang bagi Cabutan Setengah Tahun Akaun Pelaburan-I Rizq Plus yang mana hadiah utama bernilai sebanyak RM100,000 yang dimenangi oleh Encik Anuar Abdul Ghani dari Kuantan, Pahang. Sejak produk pelaburan ini mula diperkenalkan pada Julai 2022, seramai 2,961 pemenang telah terpilih merangkumi empat pemenang bagi hadiah berjumlah RM100,000 dan seorang pemenang RM1 juta.

    Selain itu, kempen Emas 2 kilo turut dianjurkan bermula Oktober tahun lalu hingga Februari 2024 sebagai tanda penghargaan kepada pelanggan yang sentiasa menyokong perniagaan Ar-rahnu, sekali gus menggalakkan lebih ramai pelanggan menggunakan khidmat Pajak Gadai-i Ar-Rahnu.

    Kempen berkonsepkan ‘Gadai dan Menang’ ini yang telah pun memasuki tahun keenam sejak ia dilancarkan pada tahun 2018, menawarkan hadiah keseluruhan berupa dua kilogram emas berjumlah RM637,000 kepada lebih 270 orang pemenang. Hadiah utama yang merupakan 500 gram emas bernilai RM150,000 dimenangi oleh Puan Faridah Matt dari Pokok Sena, Kedah.

    Tempat kedua pula dimenangi oleh Encik Mohd Suhairy Abd Rahman dari Ampang, Selangor yang memenangi hadiah berupa 100 gram emas bernilai RM35,000. Manakala tempat ketiga dimenangi oleh Puan Aminah Alias dari Langkawi, Kedah yang menerima hadiah berupa 50 gram emas bernilai RM20,000.

    Sementara itu, Pengerusi Bank Rakyat, Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak berkata, tatkala Bank menghampiri ulang tahunnya yang ke-70 pada 28 September 2024 yang bakal tiba tidak lama lagi, Bank Rakyat sentiasa komited untuk terus berada di barisan hadapan dalam menyediakan perkhidmatan perbankan yang cemerlang serta penyelesaian kewangan yang inovatif.

    “Komitmen Bank terhadap transformasi dan kecemerlangan dapat dilihat melalui pelbagai produk dan perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan.     Penyanyi popular Ara Johari, yang baru-baru ini melalui fasa putus cinta, meluahkan rasa kesakitan tersebut melalui single baharunya berjudul ‘Menjaga Jodoh Orang Lain (MJOL)’. Lagu ini dilahirkan dengan penuh emosi dan berentak balada yang pasti menyentuh hati sesiapa sahaja yang pernah mengalami situasi serupa.

    Ara, nama sebenar Nurfarrah Izzatie Binti Johari, 27, mengakui bahawa lagu ini mempunyai makna mendalam baginya. “Saya jatuh cinta pada lagu ini sebaik sahaja mendengar demo-nya. Ketika itu, saya sedang melalui detik-detik sukar, dan lagu ini seolah-olah menggambarkan kesakitan yang saya rasa,” ujarnya. Dia yakin bahawa pendengar yang pernah mengalami putus cinta dan melihat bekas kekasih mereka berkahwin dengan orang lain akan merasai sentuhan mendalam dari lagu ini.

    ‘Menjaga Jodoh Orang Lain (MJOL)’ merupakan karya ciptaan komposer dari Indonesia, Ilham Baso, yang juga telah menyumbang lagu kepada penyanyi terkenal seperti Judika. Gubahan muzik untuk lagu ini dilakukan oleh Adrian Rahmat Purwanto, seorang penggubah muzik terkenal dari Indonesia yang terkenal dengan kerjasamanya dengan artis seperti Mahalini, Lyodra, dan Keisya Levronka. Rakaman lagu ini dilakukan di Bro’s Studio, Jakarta, dengan bimbingan vokal daripada Bowo Soulmate.

    Ara Johari meluahkan rasa syukur atas peluang bekerja dengan pemuzik berpengalaman dari Indonesia. “Saya rasa bertuah dapat berkolaborasi dengan pemuzik-pemuzik handal dari Indonesia. Ia adalah satu pengalaman baru dalam kerjaya seni saya. Proses rakaman berjalan lancar dan mereka mudah untuk diajak bekerjasama,” tambahnya.

    Elsewhere, MIROS-CyberSecurity Malaysia will hold the Modern Vehicle Expert Symposium & CamScore Grand Prix (3 August) to promote the programme CAMSCORE, which conducts assessment on dashcam products. The event is supported by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS).

    The well-received Collision Repair Training Workshop (1 to 2 August) will make a return as a flagship part of the fringe programme.     The Future of Mobile AI: Expert Panel Unveils Collaborative and Responsible AI Innovation

    Samsung Electronics unveiled a record number of new products at Galaxy Unpacked 2024 on July 10 including the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Buds3 series. Now, the Galaxy AI ecosystem is stronger than ever with the expansion to foldables and wearables.

    On June 11, Samsung underscored its commitment to mobile AI with a panel discussion called Salon d’AI at 3 Mazarium — a modern convention space characterised by traditional Parisian architecture. Industry leaders and partners from Google, Qualcomm Technologies, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and others joined Samsung on stage for a lively discussion about the future of AI.

    More than 300 media and attendees packed the auditorium to hear what the experts had to say. At a time when advancements in AI are set to impact lives on an unprecedented scale, Samsung Newsroom reflected on some valuable insights from participants at Salon d’AI.

    A Human-Centric Approach to Mobile AI

    Won-joon Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of the Mobile R&D Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, took to the stage and started the panel.

    “With the industry leaders and decision makers on stage today, let’s talk about the future of mobile AI based on consumer experiences, the importance of responsible AI development and the critical role of collaboration in shaping AI for humanity,” he said.

    Audience members listened attentively, taking notes on their laptops and smartphones.

    Moderator Carolina Milanesi, CEO and Founder of Heart of Tech and President of Creative Strategies, initiated the discussion by asking panelists to share their views on the development of mobile AI.

    “When we first developed Galaxy AI, we studied users’ needs extensively. Our Galaxy AI started with a deep understanding of our consumers,” said Choi. “Based on our research, we developed practical Galaxy AI features — not just gimmick features — that provide meaningful experiences to our users.”

    Then, Samsung announced the results of a global academic study conducted in partnership with the Goldsmiths’ Institute of Management Studies at the University of London.

    “This study with Samsung is the first-of-its-kind, academic-grade research to understand the effects of mobile AI on quality of life,” said Dr. Chris Brauer, Director of Innovation at Goldsmiths’ Institute of Management Studies, University of London. “What we learned gave us a clear indication of the immense potential that AI has.”

    According to the data, frequent users of AI are more likely to report a higher quality of life compared to those who rarely use AI. These respondents view AI as more than a tool to automate tasks.

    In addition, the panelists looked at the role of mobile AI in stimulating creativity and improving productivity. Daehyun Kim, Executive Vice President of the Global AI Center, Samsung Research at Samsung Electronics, pointed to the study as proof that AI will unlock people’s creativity.

    “Frequent AI users are two times more likely to express themselves creatively,” he said. “With all this AI technology, we’re making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

    Don McGuire, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Qualcomm Technologies, weighed in on how the findings signal where AI is headed — moving beyond “prompt and response” functions.

    “We’re seeing AI transition beyond novelty to be truly useful,” he said. “AI has to become more suggestive and anticipatory. Samsung has perfected this with some of the features launched on Galaxy AI.”

    Mobile AI Innovation Driven by Open Collaboration

     Collaboration emerged as one of the conversation’s biggest themes. Through open collaboration with Google, Qualcomm Technologies and others, Samsung is providing state-of-the-art AI-based user experiences.

    “The launch of Circle to Search with the Galaxy S24 series was such a canonical example of the collaboration between Google and Samsung,” said Jenny Blackburn, Vice President of User Experience for Gemini Experiences and Google Assistant at Google. “It took a while for us to align on how we introduce that feature — to create something that works for everyone across different devices in a range of situations.”

    The hybrid AI approach that Galaxy AI adopted became another focal point of the discussion.

    “Years from now, the hybrid approach to mobile AI will be considered the only approach to mobile AI,” said Kim. “Hybrid AI combines the responsiveness of on-device AI with the vast resources and experiences powered by cloud-based AI.”

    Although Samsung has carefully developed its own generative AI model, the company strives to innovate and collaborate with the goal of developing human-centric AI.

    “The scaling of AI will need to be hybrid for many practical reasons but also from a user experience perspective,” said McGuire. “We’re committed to working with Samsung, Google and others to provide strong on-device AI and cloud-based AI together.”

    Expanding AI in a Safe and Inclusive Way

     Finally, the panelists addressed the need to promote responsible innovation and inclusive AI development.

    “Regulation is still working to fully catch up with the speed of AI innovation,” said Lucia Russo, Economist and Policy Analyst in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Unit, Digital Economy Policy Division at OECD. “We want to encourage innovation but not at the cost of ethics or privacy.”

    “Privacy is the most important thing in this hyperconnected era. We aim to provide innovation and safety under three core principles — fairness, transparency and accountability,” said Kim. “With the Galaxy AI Dashboard, users can choose cloud-based services or have some features operate entirely on-device.”

    “In the near future, AI will be multi-modal to process various types of input including text, images, audio, and video. At the same time, AI will become contextual to grasp the situation at hand,” he continued. “Providing users with choice and control is a constant consideration in mobile AI innovation.”

    The first AI media event for Galaxy, Salon d’AI demonstrated how Samsung is moving beyond technological innovation in its AI development efforts by improving quality of life. In its pursuit of developing AI for all, Samsung looks forward to opening new opportunities through AI — with an eye on enhanced security and open collaboration.

    Pengarah Urusan BeCalm Malaysia, Pn Maisarah Datuk Abdullah Sani, menyatakan bahawa kempen ini diinspirasikan oleh petikan popular “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay” yang sering dikaitkan dengan kesihatan mental dalam kalangan anak muda.

    Untuk memperluas penyebaran mesej kempen ini, beberapa selebriti dan pempengaruh seperti Mark Adam, Irma Hasmie, Sissy Iman, Syed Ali, Heliza Helmi, Ajak Shiro, Suraya Borhan, serta Zaza Zainee, seorang pempengaruh kesihatan dan kecergasan, telah diajak untuk bersama-sama menyampaikan mesej ini. Zaza Zainee juga dilantik sebagai duta pertama BeCalm Cookies.

    Menurut Pn Maisarah, beliau berasa bertanggungjawab untuk melancarkan kempen ini kerana kesedaran terhadap masalah kesihatan mental yang semakin meningkat. “Jangan biarkan diri terperangkap dalam kesedihan dan kemurungan serta dikelilingi oleh fikiran negatif. Ambil masa untuk bersedih, tetapi jangan terlalu lama,” katanya. Beliau menekankan kepentingan untuk bangkit dan mencari penyelesaian demi kesejahteraan mental.

    Majlis pelancaran yang berlangsung di Menara Star, Petaling Jaya turut menyaksikan Pn Maisarah berkongsi kisah peribadinya. Beliau mengalami tekanan dan kemurungan setelah didiagnosis dengan tumor otak pada tahun 2007 semasa bekerja di London. Masalah kemurungan tersebut menyebabkan beliau mengalami insomnia, peningkatan berat badan, kehilangan ingatan, disorientasi, serta gangguan penglihatan. Beliau juga mengalami fitnah daripada rakan-rakan akibat masalah kesihatan mental yang membelenggunya hampir satu dekad.

    Pada tahun 2016, Pn Maisarah memutuskan untuk tidak terus hidup dalam kemurungan. Beliau menemui ashwagandha, sejenis herba yang membantu memperbaiki keadaan mentalnya. Dari situ, beliau mendapat idea untuk mengeluarkan produk makanan yang mengandungi ashwagandha sebagai snek harian.

    “Ia umpama promosi secara percuma apabila lagu yang dirakam dijadikan runut bunyi sesebuah filem atau drama rantaian.
