    TP-Link Partners with Freshtel Internet to Launch First WiFi 7 Tri-Band Collaboration

    TP-Link Malaysia has entered into a strategic partnership with Freshtel Internet through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a joint effort to enhance home connectivity solutions in response to the rising demand for reliable, high-performance in-home WiFi.

    As part of the collaboration, Freshtel Internet will integrate TP-Link’s HB610 WiFi 7 Tri-Band Whole Home Mesh into its service offerings, making Freshtel one of the first internet service providers in Malaysia to adopt TP-Link’s advanced WiFi 7 tri-band solution for residential connectivity. Unlike standard WiFi 7 setups, the HB610 features an additional 6GHz band that helps reduce network congestion and deliver smoother, more consistent performance in homes with multiple connected devices, addressing the challenges of high-usage, multi-device environments.

    “WiFi performance within the home has become just as important as access speed,” said Alvin Ou, Head of Enterprise & ISP Business at TP-Link Malaysia. “Through this collaboration with Freshtel Internet, we are enabling service providers with tri-band WiFi 7 solutions designed to provide a more reliable and consistent home connectivity experience.”

    Steve Choo, Chief Executive Officer of Freshtel Internet, added, “Providing a dependable in-home WiFi experience is a key priority for us.     CDL Academy Sdn. Bhd. (CDL Academy), the learning and development arm of the YTL Cement Group, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 9 January 2026 to enhance collaboration in talent development, applied learning, and sustainable construction practices within Malaysia’s engineering sector.

    Southeast Asia enters 2026 against a backdrop of sustained economic, employment, and health pressures, according to a recent survey by Milieu Insight. The study, which surveyed 3,000 respondents across Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, highlights the ongoing cost-of-living challenges that dominated 2025, with 75% of participants identifying affordability as a top concern. Singapore (86%) and Thailand (82%) led in terms of worry, while Malaysia (70%) and Vietnam (59%) reported relatively lower levels. Despite policy interventions, confidence in government support remained limited, with only 39% of respondents feeling that assistance effectively eased their cost pressures.

    The survey reveals a “triple crisis” of cost, employment, and health. Rising prices, job insecurity, and health anxieties compounded household stress, influencing spending priorities toward essentials like food, transportation, healthcare, and education. Urban and rapidly developing markets experienced further strain from housing affordability, notably in Singapore and Vietnam, where 47% and 43% of respondents respectively cited housing as a key concern. Employment insecurity remained high, particularly in Singapore (55%) and Indonesia (53%), reflecting broader anxieties about wage growth, automation, and labor market sustainability. Health costs further intensified stress, with 51% of Singaporeans identifying medical expenses as a national issue. Dissatisfaction with government interventions was particularly notable in the Philippines (59%) and Indonesia (54%), highlighting a persistent gap between policy intent and lived reality.

    Amid these challenges, mental resilience has emerged as a significant trend. Seven in ten Southeast Asians reported actively working to understand and improve their mental health in 2025, with Thailand (86%) and the Philippines (82%) leading engagement. Online resources, courses, and self-education played a key role, with 67% of respondents seeking out mental wellness tools. While mental health may not top national policy agendas, individuals are increasingly normalizing personal mental wellness as a strategy to cope with prolonged uncertainty. Sundip Chahal, CEO of Milieu Insight, noted that those who respond to this shift—governments, employers, and brands alike—will earn public trust, while inaction risks social and institutional disconnect.

    Looking ahead, Southeast Asia in 2026 faces a crossroads. Economic strain and policy gaps continue to challenge households, but the growing emphasis on personal resilience and mental well-being may redefine societal expectations and institutional trust. Organizations and policymakers that recognize and respond to these shifts are likely to play a pivotal role in shaping regional stability and public confidence in the years to come.

    Rayu Hatiku menceritakan luahan seorang wanita yang terluka akibat dikhianati insan tersayang. Dalam temubual eksklusif, Cradle berkongsi perjalanan muzik mereka yang kini diperkukuh oleh gabungan generasi berbeza dalam band tersebut. Menurut Addy, Cradle sentiasa dikenali dengan identiti bunyi tersendiri, dan kali ini mereka menampilkan konsep rock moden yang lebih dinamik serta relevan dengan citarasa semasa.

    Eiz mendedahkan bahawa single terbaru mereka, “Pesona”, menerima maklum balas positif daripada peminat, malah ada yang menganggap bunyinya seperti bukan dari Malaysia.     “FYP Macam VIP”, Siri TikTok McDonald’s yang Mengangkat Pelajaran Hidup Empat Anak Muda

    Siri TikTok terbaru, FYP Macam VIP, membawa penonton menyelami realiti kehidupan anak muda yang sedang menempuh fasa peralihan ke alam dewasa melalui persahabatan, pengalaman harian, dan pencarian makna dalam dunia pekerjaan. Dihasilkan hasil kerjasama strategik antara McDonald’s Malaysia dan Media Prima, siri terbitan Layar Lucida ini diarahkan oleh Junaidah Mohd Nor dan Syahnur Asyikin Kee Charles, serta dibintangi oleh Rykarl Iskandar, Zaki Yamani, Mia Sara Nasuha, dan Serra Kamal.

    Menggabungkan elemen podcast dan sitkom dalam format segar, siri ini menampilkan enam episod berdurasi dua hingga tiga minit setiap satu, ditayangkan secara eksklusif di TikTok rasmi Drama Sangat, @dramasangat, bermula 14 Januari 2026, setiap Rabu dan Khamis jam 9:00 malam. Setiap episod mengupas isu-isu kehidupan seharian, daripada perkara remeh hingga dilema peribadi, sebelum berkembang menjadi refleksi mendalam tentang nilai, empati, dan pengalaman bersama.

    Watak-watak utama, Alif (Rykarl Iskandar), Faris (Zaki Yamani), Alia (Mia Sara Nasuha), dan Farah (Serra Kamal) berkongsi pengalaman hidup mereka menerusi podcast yang dirakam di rumah Faris. Alif, seorang pekerja McDonald’s yang mesra dan berdedikasi, menunjukkan bahawa cabaran hidup dan komitmen kerja boleh berjalan seiring. Kehadirannya di McDonald’s juga menonjolkan peluang perkembangan, fleksibiliti, dan sokongan yang disediakan oleh tempat kerja, menjadikannya sebahagian penting dalam perjalanan mereka membina masa depan.

Azman Mohammad, Pengarah Kanan Jenama McDonald’s Malaysia pula menegaskan bahawa siri ini menunjukkan realiti bekerja di McDonald’s sebagai platform untuk mengasah kemahiran, membina keyakinan, dan mengembangkan kerjaya bagi generasi muda yang hidup dalam era digital.

    Pelancaran siri ini disempurnakan menerusi sesi Media Appreciation Day di Pandu-Lalu McDonald’s Pantai Sentral Park, Kuala Lumpur, yang mengumpulkan wakil media, rakan strategik, pasukan produksi, serta barisan pelakon dalam suasana santai sambil menayangkan episod pertama dan kedua secara eksklusif. Penonton dijemput untuk mengikuti siri ini di platform TikTok Drama Sangat, dan mendapatkan maklumat terkini mengenai rancangan kegemaran mereka melalui media sosial TV3 dan Drama Sangat.
