MotorManiac 4.0 Returns: Kuala Lumpur Rooftop Set to Host 30,000+ Enthusiasts

MotorManiac, Bateriku’s motorsport and lifestyle brand, has announced the details of its 4th Annual Event at a press conference held today at Bateriku Garage in Shah Alam. The event is scheduled for Saturday, 6 September 2025, at the Mytown Kuala Lumpur rooftop and is expected to be the largest edition to date. Visitors can look forward to over 600 modified cars from various categories, including local, JDM, Continental, and Super Cars. With Kuala Lumpur’s skyline as the backdrop, the rooftop is set to become an Instagram-worthy spot, especially from sunset until midnight.

Organized by Malaysia’s leading Connected Roadside Assistance provider, Bateriku, the press conference highlighted an exciting lineup of partners and sponsors. Main partners include Astra, UVR, Retro Havoc, Printing, Kahf, and GGR Motor, while official sponsors comprise Mr Absorber, Kopi Saigon, Driveo, and Petronas Lubricant. Streetwear partners Headers, Super Sunday, Abstrax, and Choii Motorsports, along with supporters such as BWB, Biadap, Downshift, SFS Garage, Indiscrete, Antera Motorsports, 199 Garage, and Placed, were also present, together with media representatives from various platforms.

The evening’s entertainment was hosted by emcee Killa Driz, a homegrown Malaysian rapper, who introduced a special guest performer, ChronicalZ, from Desa Pandan. This year’s edition also marks MotorManiac’s expansion onto the international stage, with global media partners including CarCvlT from the United Kingdom, Australian motoring journalist Clay Wong, and Japanese photographer and JDM tastemaker Tatsu Miyagawa.

The main event will transform the Mytown Rooftop into a festival of cars, culture, and creativity. The breathtaking KL skyline at sunset provides a dramatic backdrop for the festivities. Unlike traditional car meets, MotorManiac has evolved into a cultural movement where lifestyle and automotive passion intersect to create a unique experience. The one-day program will feature motorsport competitions such as the King of Maniac challenge, the ASTRA Cup 2 Step Competition, and the Car Limbo Contest. Visitors can also enjoy a Mini Diecast Expo, as well as a rooftop hip-hop concert featuring ALYPH, EEMRUN, Dann N Qrack, and 53 Universe.

The ASTRA Cup is a newly introduced challenge trophy with the winner’s name engraved each year until the next edition crowns a new champion, adding prestige to the MotorManiac legacy. This year also introduces a Lucky Draw contest. For every MotorManiac merchandise purchased on the day of the event, visitors will receive a raffle ticket. Additionally, purchasing two Bateriku vouchers worth RM40 each qualifies for another raffle entry. Three lucky winners will each take home an EV Bike from GGR Motors.

Last year’s edition drew around 30,000 visitors across two days, but organizers expect the same number of attendees to be concentrated in a single day, creating a festival-like atmosphere. Unlike previous years, the 2025 event will run from 10 a.m. to midnight, promising a packed schedule of activities.

Mikhail Faizi, also known as Mike and the Don of MotorManiac, explained that the event has grown beyond its origins as a car meet. He said the essence of MotorManiac has always been about lifestyle, culture, and community. Bringing it all together on a single rooftop with the KL skyline as the backdrop creates a one-day festival experience from morning until midnight. He also highlighted that the ASTRA Cup and international media partners demonstrate how a local movement has now gained recognition on the global stage.

General admission tickets are priced at RM20, while entry is free for children under 12 and persons with disabilities.
