  • Samsung Expands Galaxy Ecosystem into Everyday Eyewear

LONDON – July 22, 2026 — Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has introduced its new intelligent eyewear at Galaxy Unpacked in London, expanding the Galaxy ecosystem beyond smartphones and into a new wearable designed to support everyday activities, work, travel and hands-free interactions. Building on concepts highlighted at Google I/O, the intelligent eyewear was developed in collaboration with global eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, combining Samsung’s technology expertise with distinctive approaches to eyewear design.

Designed for everyday wear, the intelligent eyewear features a lightweight frame and slim profile while prioritising comfort, durability and practicality. The collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker also brings a wider selection of frame designs, colours and lens options, allowing users to choose styles that suit their individual preferences, lifestyles and occasions.

“As agentic AI reshapes mobile experiences, the next step is to make those experiences more intuitive and responsive to each user’s context,” said Won-Joon Choi, Chief Operating Officer of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Intelligent eyewear creates a new point of interaction, bringing more personalised AI assistance naturally into the moments that make up everyday life.”

The new eyewear reflects Samsung’s broader vision of how artificial intelligence can become more naturally integrated into daily life. While smartphones remain central to connected experiences, intelligent eyewear is designed to bring AI assistance closer to users without requiring every interaction to begin with a screen. By placing AI within the user’s line of sight, the device can provide timely information and assistance while users remain engaged with the people, places and activities around them.

The intelligent eyewear combines a lightweight construction, slim profile and battery performance, offering up to nine hours of use on a single charge, with the charging case providing up to seven additional full charges. A built-in camera adds visual context to the AI experience, while the Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 platform supports real-time AI assistance within the compact form factor. Touch controls, connectivity, power efficiency and thermal management have also been optimised for the wearable design.

As a hands-free extension of the Galaxy experience, the eyewear was developed in partnership with Google to bring Gemini into a familiar wearable form factor. This enables users to interact with AI more naturally and intuitively while staying focused on their surroundings.

“Google and Samsung have a shared vision to bring helpful and context-aware intelligence into everyday life,” said Sameer Samat, President of Android Ecosystem at Google. “Built on the Android XR platform, the intelligent eyewear blends world-class designs with Gemini’s advanced assistance that naturally responds to what you see, delivering all-day, hands-free help. We’re excited to continue this momentum and bring this experience to people soon.”

Among its key experiences, the intelligent eyewear is designed to help users stay in the moment by summarising long messages, reading important information aloud, supporting live translation and enabling voice or gesture-based interactions through connected devices. The eyewear can also capture visual context, such as information displayed on a whiteboard or discussed during a meeting, and organise key details in Notes for easier review, sharing and follow-up.

The device also supports real-time, context-aware interactions, allowing users to ask for location-based guidance, find routes, set destinations and understand their surroundings. Live translation can assist communication across different languages, while contextual understanding helps connect relevant information across tasks so users can continue where they left off with less repetition.

For communication and content creation, the eyewear enables users to share what they are seeing during calls or record a first-person point of view while keeping their hands free. These capabilities are designed to make interactions more immediate while allowing users to remain engaged with their surroundings.

Beyond technology, Samsung is also placing emphasis on personal style and wearability. Working closely with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, Samsung refined the eyewear’s fit, including key areas around the forehead and ears, while considering comfort, durability and everyday performance.

At Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung showcased two distinct designs. The Gentle Monster edition features a slim black frame with a straight upper rim and softly rounded lower edges, creating a refined and fashion-forward silhouette. Meanwhile, the Warby Parker edition features a subtly upswept brow line in a rich brown hue, offering a versatile design suited to everyday settings.

Through its latest intelligent eyewear, Samsung is extending the Galaxy experience into a more personal and hands-free form factor, bringing together AI, wearable technology and fashion while exploring new ways for users to interact with information and technology throughout their daily routines.
