Cempaka Cahaya Sdn. Bhd. has officially launched CarePod, a state-of-the-art AI-enabled preventive healthcare kiosk designed to enhance early disease detection, structured medical screening, and digitally integrated consultations across community settings in Malaysia. The launch was attended by the Guest of Honour, Dato’ Dr. Suhaimi bin Ibrahim, Pengerusi KOBENA, highlighting strong institutional and cross-sector support for digital transformation in primary healthcare services.
Engineered by DR Solutions, the health-technology subsidiary of Cempaka Cahaya, CarePod is a vertically integrated platform that ensures full governance from system architecture to field deployment. The kiosk offers real-time vital sign monitoring, Point-of-Care Testing (FBC, biochemistry panels, HbA1c), rapid infectious disease screening for Malaria, Influenza, and Dengue, AI-assisted clinical workflow, secure teleconsultation, and digital referral pathways. This innovative model decentralizes preventive healthcare while maintaining clinical oversight, data security, and structured accountability.

The CarePod platform is supported by QuantumNexis Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Healthcare Triangle Inc. (NASDAQ: HCTI), providing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and scalable digital health architecture. Additionally, collaboration with University of Malaya ensures evidence-based validation, NCD risk profiling, infectious disease analytics, and continuous system refinement through academic oversight.
According to Dr. Balachandran Krishnan, CEO of Cempaka Cahaya Sdn. Bhd., “CarePod represents a strategic step towards shifting Malaysia’s healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. By integrating diagnostics, infectious disease screening, AI-driven workflow, and teleconsultation, we strengthen early detection capabilities and improve healthcare accessibility nationwide.” CarePod enables early assessment of hypertension, cardiovascular risks, diabetes, metabolic disorders, and acute medical conditions, particularly benefiting semi-urban and rural communities.
