The third edition of Intelligent Manufacturing Kuala Lumpur (IMKL) officially concluded on 16 May 2025, after three impactful days of knowledge sharing and innovation. Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the event welcomed global experts, corporate leaders, and academics to explore strategies for advancing digital transformation across the ASEAN manufacturing sector. Under the theme “Synergising technologies and workforce adoption for operational success,” IMKL 2025 focused on enhancing the region’s digital manufacturing capabilities through cutting-edge insights and collaborative dialogue.
This year’s event recorded a total of 2,164 visits, with 357 conference attendees and 23 speakers representing nine countries and regions, including the United States, Switzerland, and Malaysia. Across 19 conference sessions, four breakout discussions, and 21 Tech Lab engagements, attendees gained first-hand exposure to the latest technologies, AI innovations, and case studies from regional and global players. Additionally, 19 product showcases from six different countries provided a closer look at smart solutions in action.
The two-day conference served as the backbone of the event, where speakers explored themes ranging from AI-driven manufacturing processes to the development of skilled digital talent. Case studies shared by industry leaders illustrated successful digital transformation journeys, while new breakout sessions offered tailored interactions and deep-dive discussions. Tech Lab sessions and showcases complemented these learnings with hands-on demonstrations and collaborative workshops, highlighting the practicality of the solutions discussed.
A key highlight of IMKL 2025 was the debut of SPS Stage Kuala Lumpur, which introduced advanced technologies from the globally recognized SPS brand to local and regional audiences. The stage featured exhibitors showcasing next-generation manufacturing tools, including smart factory assembly systems and real-time data connectivity technologies. These innovations underscored the event’s goal to boost operational efficiency through smart integration.

Several prominent speakers praised IMKL’s role in unifying the manufacturing community and providing a platform for strategic progress.
