A fusion of artistic imagination and technological innovation celebrating human diversity

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. brings its “Design is an Act of Love” exhibition to Seoul Design Week 2026, promising a unique visual experience at the intersection of technology and art. Following a successful showcase with Korean artists at Design Miami Seoul in September, this latest iteration features a collaboration with Italy’s renowned POLI.design. The exhibition highlights 14 emerging Italian artists who channel their diverse cultures and experiences to celebrate human individuality through the lens of Expressive Design.

The featured artworks draw inspiration from a dynamic range of Samsung products, including the Music Studio 5, Bespoke AI Family Hub, and Galaxy Z Fold8. Artists like Tommy Tokyo utilized digital media and virtual reality to translate the Infinite AI air purifier’s concept of clean air into a striking visual narrative, while Caffè Design explored spatial interaction through The Serif TV’s iconic silhouette. Notably, the artists leveraged artificial intelligence as a creative tool to expand their ideas and explore new forms of expression. All 14 masterpieces are displayed on Samsung’s 2026 OLED TVs (model S95H), each fitted with custom frames tailored to enhance the specific colors and mood of the artwork.

Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung, emphasized that design can seamlessly integrate technology into everyday personal life. Utilizing the OLED TV’s Float Layer Design, which creates the illusion of a screen hovering over a metal plate, the exhibition proves that technology is not just functional hardware but a reflection of the user’s identity. Rooted in a philosophy of care and understanding, the exhibition runs from 15 to 25 October at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
