Industry Leaders Gather at AI Build & Interiors Connect 2026 to Explore AI-Powered Innovation

Kuala Lumpur became the centre of innovation this week as AI Build & Interiors Connect 2026 officially commenced at CityStage @ KL City Walk. The three-day showcase gathered more than 18 exhibitors and industry leaders to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of construction, interiors and smart living.

Designed as a focused industry platform, the event connected professionals, businesses and consumers through a series of exhibitions, networking sessions, live demonstrations and expert discussions. Attendees were introduced to cutting-edge technologies and practical solutions that are transforming the way spaces are designed, built and experienced.

According to organiser and Citystage KLCC founder Dennis Choy, the showcase was created to accelerate conversations around innovation while strengthening connections across multiple industries.

He explained that the event aims to encourage knowledge exchange, foster meaningful partnerships and provide a platform for businesses to showcase products and services that address the demands of future-ready living.

Visitors had direct access to industry experts and thought leaders, allowing them to gain first-hand insights into emerging trends in architecture, sustainability, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

The event featured keynote addresses by respected architect Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum and AI transformation specialist Rajiv Mathew. Their presentations highlighted the growing influence of AI on both architectural practice and business operations within the construction sector.

Complementing the keynote sessions were presentations by more than 20 speakers who explored topics ranging from healing environments and wellness-focused design to AI-driven digitalisation in property development and project delivery.

Panel discussions examined critical themes including AI adoption among SMEs, the future of smart buildings, human-centred living, robotics, Industry 5.0 and digital security.
