Samsung Electronics today introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7, a compact yet powerful folding smartphone that brings a new level of intelligence, versatility, and design to users on the go. With a stunning 4.1-inch edge-to-edge FlexWindow display, flagship-grade camera, and full Galaxy AI integration, the Z Flip7 offers a smart, one-handed experience that fits comfortably in any pocket.
According to TM Roh, President and Acting Head of Device eXperience at Samsung Electronics, the Galaxy Z Flip7 demonstrates that “big intelligence can come in a small, pocket-sized form factor.” Its enhanced FlexWindow display allows users to send quick messages, check their schedule, or snap selfies without ever unfolding the phone. The screen boasts a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and outdoor visibility enhanced by Vision Booster.
When opened, the main 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display delivers an immersive experience, while a newly upgraded 4,300mAh battery the largest yet in the series offers up to 31 hours of video playback on a single charge. Powering all this is Samsung’s latest 3nm processor, delivering improved performance across CPU, GPU, and AI tasks compared to its predecessor. For the first time on this format, Samsung DeX is available, turning the Z Flip7 into a portable workstation when connected to an external screen.
Durability remains a core strength. The device is thinner and lighter at just 188 grams and 13.7 mm when folded. Its Armor FlexHinge, reinforced Armor Aluminum frame, and Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 back and cover ensure everyday resilience.
On the AI front, the Z Flip7 brings Galaxy AI and One UI 8 to the FlexWindow. Users can speak voice commands to Gemini Live for real-time assistance from retrieving travel plans to previewing outfit choices using camera sharing. The Now Bar delivers live updates on notifications, ride arrivals, and music playback, while Now Brief provides personalized daily insights and reminders. The clock on the FlexWindow adapts poetically to wallpaper designs, wrapping around objects and faces to stay legible.
Photography gets a boost as well. A dual rear camera setup includes a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide lens. Enhanced Nightography, 10-bit HDR video, FlexCam for cover-screen selfies, and features like Zoom Slider and Dual Preview make it easier than ever to deliver polished, shareable shots.
Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE model, featuring a 6.7-inch display and the same 50MP FlexCam. It is offered in simple black or white finishes with a compact form ideal for casual users.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from 10 PM on 9 July 2025 until 31 July 2025. General sales will begin on 1 August 2025. The Flip7 is available in Jetblack, Blue Shadow, Coralred, and Mint (online exclusive), while the FE comes in Black and White variants.
