  • PELANCARAN BAZAR RAMADAN RAHMAH (BRR) DAN PROGRAM INISIATIF PENDIGITALAN SEKTOR PERUNCITAN (REDI) PERINGKAT NEGERI PULAU PINANG

    Semasa Bazar Ramadan Bayan Baru di Pulau Pinang hari ini, Yang Berhormat Senator Puan Hajah Fuziah binti Salleh, Timbalan Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup, telah memperkenalkan Bazar Ramadan RAHMAH (BRR) dan Program Inisiatif Pendigitalan Sektor Runcit (ReDI). Kedudukan Negeri 2023 untuk Pulau Pinang.

    Bazar Ramadan RAHMAH (BRR) adalah inisiatif terbaru Kerajaan dalam mengurangkan kos sara hidup rakyat dengan menyediakan pilihan hidangan untuk berbuka puasa pada harga murah dan berpatutan. Ini termasuklah dengan mengalakkan peniaga bagi menyediakan kepelbagaian konsep penyediaan makanan/ produk yang seimbang berteraskan Menu RAHMAH kepada pengunjung yang datang ke Bazar Ramadan pada tahun ini.

    Antara kriteria BRR adalah sebahagian peniaga menawarkan Menu RAHMAH, lokasi yang menjadi tempat tumpuan rakyat dan menggalakkan kadar sewa RAHMAH serta berpatutan kepada peniaga berdasarkan lokaliti. Inisiatif BRR ini dilaksanakan secara kerjasama strategik di antara 2 KPDN dan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) tanpa melibatkan sebarang implikasi kos kepada Kerajaan. Sehingga kini, sebanyak 38 lokasi sedang melaksanakan BRR di seluruh negara termasuklah 1 lokasi BRR yang dilaksanakan bersama Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) dalam menyantuni rakyat di sekitar Pulau Pinang sepanjang bulan Ramadan ini.

    Pada masa yang sama, KPDN bersama MBPP juga meneruskan perluasan Program Inisiatif Pendigitalan Sektor Peruncitan (Retail Digitalisation Inisiative – ReDI) yang bertujuan untuk memastikan peniaga kecil ini tidak terus ketinggalan di dalam arus perdana dan bersama-sama dalam melibatkan diri menerusi model baharu perniagaan secara digital. Selari dengan matlamat tersebut, seramai 55 peniaga di BRR Bayan Baru telah mengaplikasikan pembayaran digital tanpa tunai (Cashless). Inisiatif ini mendokong kerangka pelaksanaan MyDIGITAL, Dasar Revolusi Perindustrian Keempat (4IR) dan Pelan Pelaksanaan Dasar (PPD) RMK12 bagi sektor peruncitan dalam membantu peniaga melonjakkan semula ekonomi mereka dengan mempelbagai pilihan pembayaran di samping meningkatkan lagi pendapatan terutamanya pada musim perayaan ini.

    Selain itu, syarikat Pen Petroleum Sdn Bhd (PENPEC) juga turut serta menyokong program BRR ini dengan memberikan satu unit kad petrol Caltex (“StarCash”) bernilai RM50 kepada 20 peniaga secara ‘first come first serve’ yang menawarkan Menu RAHMAH. StarCash tersebut boleh digunakan di mana-mana Stesen Caltex di negeri Pulau Pinang.

    Pada masa juga, turut dilaksanakan Program Kempen MYSaveFood Ramadan 2023 yang dikelolakan oleh Pemuda GEMA. Program yang dilaksanakan ini merupakan satu inisiatif untuk mengurangkan pembaziran makanan di tapak Bazar Ramadan. Lebihan makanan yang tidak terjual oleh peniaga akan diberikan kepada golongan yang memerlukan. Pada tahun 2022 dalam program yang sama, sebanyak 3791.5kg makanan dan 4003.5kg minuman berjaya diselamatkan dan diagihkan dengan penglibatan peniaga-peniaga bazar. Manakala, sepanjang tahun 2017 hingga 2022, sebanyak 41.5 tan makanan dan minuman yang diselamatkan dan diedarkan kepada golongan yang memerlukan. Inisiatif ini juga dapat menyumbang kepada Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12.3 iaitu mengurangkan separuh daripada jumlah pembaziran makanan menjelang tahun 2030.

    KPDN merakamkan setinggi penghargaan kepada MBPP dan semua pihak yang terlibat di atas komitmen yang sangat baik sepanjang menjayakan inisiatif BRR dan ReDI ini bagi membantu golongan yang memerlukan dalam meringankan beban kos sara hidup mereka di Pulau Pinang di samping meningkatkan pendapatan para peniaga di sini.

  • PENYAMPAIAN GERAN KAJIAN, PEMBANGUNAN, DAN/ ATAU PENGKOMERSILAN (R&D&C) PROGRAM KHAZANAH ALAM INDUSTRI JUALAN LANGSUNG SERTA PENYERAHAN LESEN JUALAN LANGSUNG

    YB Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup, menyampaikan Geran Penyelidikan, Pembangunan dan/atau Pengkomersilan (R&D&C) Program Khazanah Asli Industri Jualan Langsung kepada 8 perniagaan jualan langsung dan 1 badan berkanun semasa majlis yang mengambil tempat di Dewan Serbaguna KPDN Putrajaya.

    Inisiatif pemberian Geran R&D&C ini bertujuan untuk memperkembangkan perniagaan jualan langsung khususnya kepada syarikat jualan langsung yang mengeluar dan memasarkan produk tempatan berasaskan sumber alam semula jadi serta membantu syarikat mengkomersilkan produk jualan langsung.

    KPDN berharap pemberian geran ini akan dapat meningkatkan dan memajukan industri jualan langsung serta yakin ianya akan dapat memberi nilai tambah kepada produk-produk khazanah alam tempatan. Majlis ini turut menyaksikan penyerahan lesen jualan langsung melibatkan 14 syarikat 2 menerima lesen baharu manakala 54 syarikat menerima lesen pembaharuan.

    Kementerian mengingatkan agar pemegang lesen jualan langsung sentiasa mematuhi segala peraturan yang telah digariskan demi menggalakkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan aktiviti jualan langsung yang beretika di samping peka kepada hak serta kepentingan pengguna. KPDN selaku Kementerian bertanggungjawab mengawal selia industri jualan langsung yakin industri jualan langsung ini akan terus berkembang maju dan mampu menyumbang kepada pertumbuhan sosio-ekonomi negara.

    Cabaran episod pertama bertemakan aneka telur menyaksikan Sudap Sudip memenangi gelaran juara mingguan episod pertama Dapur Tempur Ra-Ra dengan persembahan dua menu iaitu ‘Soto Telur Ketupat Wangi NONA’ dan ‘Dal Pecah Telur’. Pasangan Bapak Borek Anak Rintik pula berjaya mencuri perhatian juri tetap Dato’ Cef Ismail dan Michael Ang dengan pilihan menu ‘Ketupat Berendam Mengintai Di Sebalik Tirai Kamar’ di mana menu tersebut telah berjaya memenangi cabaran NONA dan ‘Tortilla Ayam & Telur On The Go’. Kedua-dua juri tetap telah menyuarakan pendapat mereka tentang tahap kreativiti para peserta yang kurang memuaskan, adakah masakan daripada dua pasangan peserta di episod kedua dapat memenuhi kriteria mereka?

    Cabaran episod seterusnya pasti lebih mencabar kebolehan memasak dan kreativiti para peserta. Episod kedua Dapur Tempur Ra-Ra menampilkan pasangan ibu dan anak, Hot Chicks (Farahdhiya & Aishah) serta pasangan adik-beradik Dapur Tempur musim pertama, Zest (Haiza Senusi & Hafzy Senusi).   • Participants praise AMR 2023 for supporting China’s automotive aftermarket

    The Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR), the top venue in North China for the automobile aftermarket in the Jing-jin-ji (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) area, closed its doors for the 2023 edition on March 26. The National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin) hosted the four-day event where top business figures from the local and international supply chain met. The impressive exhibitor lineup displaying the most recent advancements in the repair and maintenance industry left participants in awe. Also, they valued the show’s commitment to helping the local car sector grow.

    Key figures from AMR 2023:

    • Space: 80,000 sqm
    • 28 concurrent events
    • 1,500 new product launches

    Ms Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “We are happy to reunite with aftermarket players in Tianjin, especially as it is the ninth anniversary of establishing the development plan for the Jing-jin-ji region. This also means we are stepping further into the heart of the automotive manufacturing cluster here. Walking around the exhibition grounds, feeling the enthusiasm, and hearing positive feedback from both local and international participants was pleasing. It affirms the show’s strong foothold in the industry, connecting the world to the Chinese market.”

    AMR’s strong roots in the region were clear to detect as the well-established platform offered a one-stop sourcing hub for the automotive repair and maintenance sector.

    This year’s event had four themed areas, including the Parts and Components ZoneGreen Repair and New Energy ZoneCommercial Vehicles Zone and Made-in-Tianjin Zone. The wide range of exhibits promoted the growth of the new energy vehicle aftermarket, commercial vehicle after-sales services, auto repair and maintenance equipment, and more.

    One such exhibitor in the Made-in-Tianjin Zone was Toec Huadian Technology Co Ltd. The company’s Vice President, Mr Yu Zhenglong, was pleased to be part of AMR 2023. He shared: “Thanks to AMR, in addition to displaying our solutions in the Made-in-Tianjin Zone, we were also able to see the latest products from other companies. It was very inspiring for our future development. Furthermore, as a company based in the region, AMR was a cost-effective and efficient stage for promotion as we established connections with visitors with a high potential of becoming customers.”

    Mr Gianni Thnelli from Italy, APAC Regional Sales Manager of Ravaglioli SpA, one of the overseas exhibitors, commented: “AMR is a key part of our strategy to maintain a competitive edge in the international and Chinese market. I am very happy about the full crowds around the exhibition hall and excited to see so many people at our booth discussing new projects and cooperation. We met buyers from Thailand, South Korea and Singapore, meaning that AMR’s influence goes beyond China into other Asian countries and regions.”

    Nexion China held one of the largest booths at the show. Mr Bi Mingjun, the company’s Sales Director, shared: “In recent years, domestic brands have continued to develop, leading to confidence in home-grown companies across the market. For example, our products are now very well recognised in the Jing-jin-ji region and the surrounding cities. Participating at AMR is crucial for increasing our brand awareness and boosting sales with local service providers. The show is one of the most professional fairs in the aftermarket sector, as buyers can quickly identify their target products here. Therefore, we always contribute a lot of resources in the show.”

    In addition, the fair attracted buyers from 23 countries and regions. Many of the buyers praised both the quality and range of exhibits. In fact, visitors could find innovative products and solutions from over 5,000 international brands.

    A buyer from Egypt, Mr Mahmoud Nasser, Foreign Purchasing and Overseas Logistics Manager of Garage Equipment Center, came to the show to source car repair tools. He said: “AMR is a highly efficient sourcing platform as it is heavily focused on the repair and maintenance sector. I can always find what I need quickly. The show has become more international over the years, and there are always new exhibitors whenever I return. After my initial walk around, I identified at least seven potential suppliers.”

    Mr Wang Junhai, President of Henan Xinxiang Automobile Dealers Association, organised a buyer delegation. He expressed: “AMR is our to-go event for learning, sourcing and networking. We invited buyers from over 20 workshops to the show so they could source spare parts. Apart from the trade aspect, we can also grasp the latest technologies in the aftermarket sector and deepen our understanding of where the industry is heading. This is particularly helpful as our members can establish more business connections.”

    To conclude this year’s event, Ms Chiew further reflected: “I would like to extend my gratitude to the partners, exhibitors, visitors and supporting industry associations for their contributions to the fair, not only this edition but for the last four decades. I already look forward to seeing everyone again next year and hope to welcome even more participation from the industry.”

    The Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd (Sinomachint), China Automotive Maintenance Equipment Industry Association (CAMEIA) and China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (CAMRA).   • Growing Lotus’s Malaysia’s renewable energy with Altervim Co. Ltd

    The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between Altervim Co. Ltd. and Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) is for 20 years, beginning on March 30, 2023, and lasting until the year 2042. With the signing of this agreement, the retailer may begin installing solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roofs of its 21 Lotus shops and Ambient Distribution Center in Bukit Beruntung.

    “Once the installation is completed in September 2023, the solar PV panels will collectively generate 150,000,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean energy per year, which is equivalent to lighting up more than 3,500 houses annually. The clean energy generated will offset a total of 9,585 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere”, said Lotus’s Malaysia President, Mr. Kenneth Chuah.

    Altervim will fully invest in the 22 solar PVs which includes the design, installation, operation and maintenance of the solar PV systems. Plus Xnergy Sdn Bhd has been appointed as the local Clean Energy Specialist for this project.

    Besides the Ambient Distribution Center in Bukit Beruntung, the 21 stores which will be fitted with the solar PV panels through the Lotus’s – Altervim PPA are:

    Lotus’s Malaysia’s entered into its first PPA with NE Suria Satu Sdn Bhd (NESS), a joint-venture company of PETRONAS and NEFIN Group in 2020. It involved the installation of solar PV panels on 15 of its stores. The retailer then went to its second PPA with with NEFIN Group in 2022, to install solar PV panels on another 13 of its stores.

    “Through the Lotus’s-Altervim PPA, this makes Lotus’s Malaysia the largest commercial solar PV installation in Malaysia to date,” Kenneth further added.

    Lotus’s Malaysia currently operates 65 stores and two distribution centers in Peninsular Malaysia. With the first, second and the current PPA combined, the retailer will now have a total of 49 stores and 1 Distribution Center, making 75% of Lotus’s facilities powered with solar by end 2023, reinforcing the company’s commitment towards its carbon neutral goal by 2030.

    Over the years, the retailer has invested in energy efficiency initiatives within its operations through the use of LED lightings and more energy efficient air conditioning and refrigeration in its stores and distribution centers.

  • SAHARA, JUDUL LAGU ‘TIARA’ VERSI HINDI

    Selepas dirakam semula oleh artis Indonesia Raffa Affar dan seterusnya P.Radhi dalam versi P.Ramlee pada 2022, lagu TIARA yang ditulis oleh M. Nasir dan terkenal pada 1990-an oleh kumpulan KRIS telah menarik minat baharu.

    Memandangkan sambutan yang sangat hangat kepada lagu Tiara, Luncai Emas menerima idea dan cadangan daripada Wan Dillhanaridz , penggubah lagu Tiara ala P.Ramlee untuk menerbitkan lagu TIARA dalam versi Hindi pula.

    Menurut Wan ‘’Saya mencadangkan Tiara dirakam dalam versi Hindi kerana saya amat yakin lagu Tiara sangat sesuai diadaptasikan ke irama Hindi kerana melodinya sangat indah. Saya menggubah lagu Tiara mengikut muzik era 90-an lagu – lagu hit Hindi. Susunan muzik ini mengambil masa dalam 4 hari untuk mendapatkan intro dan interlude lagu bagi mendapatkan mood Hindi. Setelah dipersembahkan rakaman awal kepada rakan – rakan Hindi terdekat serta peminat tegar lagu – lagu Hindi, saya mendapat feedback yang sangat memberangsangkan. Mereka rasa apabila mendengar lagu ini ianya adalah muzik yang dirakam di India’’.

    Penyanyi yang dipilih oleh Wan adalah 2 orang penyanyi Nadia Fharshah & Amirul Fadzuan yang aktif di Tiktok menyanyikan lagu – lagu Hindi dalam kandungan kreatif mereka di sosial media. Mereka banyak meraih sokongan untuk persembahan lagu – lagu Hindi mereka.

    ‘’Nadia perlu sampaikan emosi Tiara itu sendiri ketika rakaman kerana Nadia seorang yang ceria dan suka ketawa… Apabila bawa lagu SAHARA ini adalah sedikit mencabar untuk Nadia. Nadia mengharapkan semua yang mendengar dapat rasa apa yang cuba disampaikan….’’ Jelas Nadia.

    Bagi Amirul pula ‘’ SAHARA mempunyai aliran melodi yang tenang, sedih dimana ia berubah mengikut irama yang dihasilkan. SAHARA entah bagaimana sejajar dengan jiwa dan saya berasa begitu terhubung dengannya apabila saya menyanyikan lagu ini. Terima kasih kepada Luncai Emas kerana memberi peluang yang indah dan tidak lupa rakan duet saya Nadia, juga kepada Abang Wan’’.

    Bagi Luncai Emas pula, ‘’Apabila diusulkan cadangan Sahara kepada kami dan mendengar gubahan awal daripada Wan, kami amat kagum kerana Tiara diadaptasi dan digubah seakan ianya adalah satu lagu original Hindi. Justeru, kami amat mengalukan cadangan itu kerana sememangnya Tiara  satu lagu viral pada tahun 2022 yang telah dirakam dalam pelbagai versi. Oleh itu, kenapa tidak dalam versi Hindi?’’.

    Luncai Emas berharap SAHARA bukan sahaja dapat diterima di kalangan orang Melayu tetapi juga di kalangan pendengar – pendengar Hindi dan bukan sahaja tempatan malah pendengar – pendengar luar negara.
