HONOR is gearing up for the arrival of the HONOR X9e Pro in Malaysia, marking a new chapter for its X Series smartphone lineup. The upcoming device made an unexpected first public appearance during the National Day Parade in Putrajaya, where it was showcased alongside HONOR Robotics D1.
The surprise reveal generated attention largely because the device was shown in a distinctive purple colourway before its official launch. The appearance also highlighted the importance of Malaysia as a market for HONOR, with the company continuing to build on the popularity of its X Series among local consumers.
According to HONOR, the X Series has maintained its position as Malaysia’s best-selling mid-range smartphone series for four consecutive years. The series has also accumulated more than 130 million users globally, reflecting its broader reach beyond the Malaysian market.
The X9e Pro represents a significant step for the lineup as it becomes the first Pro model introduced under the X Series. HONOR is carrying forward the series’ emphasis on durability and battery life while introducing what it describes as a comprehensive upgrade.
Central to the new model is the “EXTREME” concept, which brings together three major areas of enhancement: battery capacity, drop resistance and water resistance. These improvements reflect HONOR’s strategy of developing smartphones that can withstand the challenges of everyday use while offering consumers greater convenience.
