    AITEX 2024: Asia Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo

    Mark your calendars! The Malaysia Tourism Agency Association (MATA) is proud to present the upcoming Asia Islamic Tourism & Trade Expo (AITEX), culminating in the prestigious World Islamic Tourism Awards 2024. This landmark event for the global Islamic tourism and trade sectors is scheduled for August 23rd to 26th, 2024, at the Sunway Resort Hotel in Bandar Sunway, Selangor.

    AITEX will boast a sprawling exhibition space of 3,000 square meters, showcasing a diverse range of industries, from travel and hospitality to Islamic finance and exquisite Islamic jewelry. The expo will be open to both trade visitors and the general public, welcoming everyone from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.

    Get ready to embark on a global journey! Exhibitors from a wide range of countries, including Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Thailand, Indonesia, Iraq, Turkey, as well as closer to home in Langkawi, Pahang, Perlis, and Selangor Homestay, will be present.   • Illuminating Islamic Tourism: Recognizing Visionaries at the 1st WITA Ceremony in 2023

    KUALA LUMPUR , 15 SEPT 2023 : Against the backdrop of the Asia Hajj, Umrah & Islamic Tourism Conference and Exhibition (AITEX 2023), the World Islamic Tourism Award (WITA) 2023 takes its place as a groundbreaking event in the Islamic Tourism realm. This prestigious accolade is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the exceptional products and services offered by trailblazers in the Islamic Tourism sector, spanning all facets of the travel and tourism hospitality industry.

    Dato’ Noor Zaleha Baharudin, the Organising Chairman of WITA, underscores the dual purpose of this award: not only to recognize excellence but also to honor and commend those who have played pivotal roles in the success of the Islamic Travel Industry. It serves as a heartfelt tribute to their significant contributions.
