    Digital AgTech Percepatkan Pemodenan Pertanian di Kedah

    AYER HITAM, 10 Februari 2025 – Inisiatif Digital AgTech yang diterajui oleh Perbadanan Ekonomi Digital Malaysia (MDEC) terus menjadi pemacu utama dalam transformasi sektor pertanian di negara ini. Melalui Jelajah Malaysia Digital (JMD) @Kedah, usaha memperkenalkan teknologi digital seperti Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dan Internet Kebendaan (IoT) dalam industri pertanian semakin giat dilaksanakan.

    JMD @Kedah memberi fokus kepada pemodenan pertanian dengan penggunaan teknologi digital bagi meningkatkan daya saing dan keterjaminan makanan negara. Inisiatif ini menyokong matlamat ekonomi digital negara untuk menyumbang 25.5% kepada KDNK menjelang 2025 serta membuka lebih 500,000 peluang pekerjaan baharu.

    Sejak pelancaran Digital AgTech pada tahun 2023, lebih 600 sistem telah digunakan di seluruh negara, manakala di Kedah sahaja, sebanyak 40 sistem telah diaplikasikan dalam sektor tanaman, ternakan, dan akuakultur. Pada tahun 2025, sebanyak 15 projek tambahan Digital AgTech bernilai lebih RM300,000 akan dilaksanakan bagi memperkukuhkan kecekapan pertanian di negeri ini.

    Keberkesanan Digital AgTech terbukti dengan peningkatan produktiviti dan pendapatan sehingga 20% serta pengurangan kos operasi sebanyak 30%. Selain itu, program ini juga memberi manfaat kepada golongan B40 dan belia, dengan lebih separuh daripada peserta berusia di bawah 40 tahun serta berpotensi menjana pendapatan tambahan sehingga RM10,000 setahun.

    JMD @Kedah turut melibatkan sesi perkongsian keberhasilan pendigitalan dalam pertanian serta lawatan ke fasiliti yang mengaplikasikan AI dalam sektor akuakultur. Program ini menyediakan platform bagi usahawan tani dan pemegang taruh industri untuk berbincang mengenai cabaran serta peluang dalam ekosistem Digital AgTech.

    Majlis pelancaran JMD @Kedah dirasmikan oleh YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Menteri Digital, bersama wakil kanan dari KPKM dan MDEC. Program ini turut mendapat sokongan pelbagai agensi serta syarikat teknologi yang memainkan peranan dalam memperkasa ekosistem pertanian digital negara.

    Kerajaan terus komited dalam memperluaskan pemodenan pertanian melalui teknologi digital bagi memastikan pertumbuhan sektor ini lebih mampan serta menjamin bekalan makanan negara pada masa hadapan.
