    Huawei Secures Global Wearables Leadership With Over 20% Market Share in First Half of 2026

    Huawei has strengthened its position in the global wearable technology industry after ranking first worldwide in wrist-worn device shipments during the first half of 2026.

    According to the latest IDC Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, Huawei achieved more than 20% of the global market share, reflecting the company’s continued growth and strong performance in the smartwatch and wearable device segment.

    The achievement highlights Huawei’s long-term strategy in developing innovative wearable products that combine advanced technology, health monitoring capabilities and smart lifestyle features.

    Since 2021, Huawei has consistently maintained the leading position in China’s wrist-worn device market by shipment volume and has secured the top position in the global market multiple times since 2024.

    Huawei’s continued success has been supported by its comprehensive wearable portfolio, which caters to different user segments including professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts, families and everyday consumers.

    Throughout the first half of 2026, Huawei introduced a range of wrist-worn devices designed to meet diverse consumer needs while receiving strong market response and positive user feedback.

    One of the key products highlighted is the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2, which focuses on professional runners with advanced training capabilities.

    The smartwatch introduces Marathon mode and running power metrics, allowing users to monitor training intensity, analyse performance and optimise race preparation strategies.

    For everyday health and wellness users, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series introduces the Mini-workout feature, offering quick exercise routines designed to help users stay active despite busy schedules.

    Meanwhile, the HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN Spring Edition expands Huawei’s premium smartwatch segment by offering advanced health monitoring features designed specifically for female users.

    The smartwatch includes comprehensive menstrual cycle tracking and wellness insights, combining premium design with personalised health technology.

    Huawei also continues supporting younger users through the HUAWEI WATCH KIDS X1 Series, featuring multiple wearing options, dual cameras and advanced positioning technologies for a more reliable experience.

    Building on its global momentum, Huawei expanded its wearable portfolio further in the second half of 2026 with new product launches in China.

    Malaysian consumers can look forward to the official local launch of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series on 29 September 2026, strengthening Huawei’s wearable lineup in Malaysia.
