LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd., the official operator of Kuala Lumpur Tower, proudly announces the return of its legendary vertical race, the Kuala Lumpur Tower Run International Challenge 2025 (KLTRIC2025), scheduled for Sunday, 30 November 2025 at 5.00 AM. Marking the 23rd edition of the race, KLTRIC2025 has been officially designated by the Malaysia Towerrunning Association (MTA) as the Malaysia Towerrunning National Championship 2025. Recognised as a Heritage Sport of Kuala Lumpur Tower, the event continues to strengthen Malaysia’s reputation as a premier destination for stair racing and sports tourism. Carrying the bold tagline, “Victory is Vertical”, the challenge will see approximately 1,500 local and international runners ascend 1,608 steps and 292 metres above ground, testing their endurance while celebrating resilience, unity, and national pride. Past milestones include Michele Tan Bee Kiang’s Guinness World Record for the fastest vertical mile (female), a feat that exemplifies the Tower’s vision of establishing Kuala Lumpur as a global hub for action sports tourism.
KLTRIC2025 also champions Malaysia’s National Sports Agenda, promoting health, fitness, and community participation while reinforcing Kuala Lumpur’s position as a progressive, world-class sports city. The event is sanctioned as a World Championship Points Race under the Towerrunning World Association (TWA), attracting elite international athletes and Malaysia’s own world champion Soh Wai Ching. Participants will compete across categories ranging from Open, Youth, Veteran, and Elite divisions, with top finishers awarded the Official Finisher Jersey and the fastest Malaysian male and female elite runners crowned as the Malaysia Towerrunning National Champions 2025. With a total of RM80,000 in cash prizes, KLTRIC2025 promises an adrenaline-filled vertical race that blends competition, endurance, and sportsmanship.
