THE VIKIDS CARNIVAL RETURNS THIS SCHOOL BREAK WITH RETRO-FUTURISTIC EXCITEMENT AND CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

Families looking for exciting activities during the mid-term school holidays can look forward to the return of the highly anticipated VIKids Carnival, happening at Alamanda Shopping Centre from 20 May to 7 June 2026, alongside a special themed edition at Mesra Mall Kemaman from 22 to 26 May 2026. Designed to create meaningful family moments, the annual campaign promises a blend of entertainment, creativity and interactive experiences tailored for children and parents alike.

At Alamanda Shopping Centre, the Centre Court will be transformed into a vibrant retro-futuristic carnival inspired by the iconic neon aesthetics of the 1980s. Visitors can expect a visually immersive setup featuring black-and-white checkered floors, glowing neon décor, oversized cassette tapes, boomboxes and palm tree installations that bring nostalgic energy to life. The 19-day carnival will offer four interactive booths filled with traditional funfair games, arcade-style attractions and arts and crafts workshops open to the public. Adding to the lively atmosphere, families can enjoy weekend entertainment featuring energetic Neon Dance performances, captivating Magic Shows and entertaining Balloonist Clown acts, with three shows scheduled daily on Saturdays and Sundays.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement, Alamanda continues to position itself as a family-friendly destination that promotes wholesome entertainment and quality bonding experiences. Through its Shoppers Rewards Programme, existing VIKids members who spend RM300 and above in up to two receipts at specialty stores can redeem two complimentary Carnival Passes, while non-members can enjoy similar benefits with a minimum spend of RM500. These passes provide complimentary access to selected games and carnival activities, creating an enjoyable holiday experience for young visitors.

Meanwhile, Mesra Mall Kemaman is bringing a different flavour to the celebration with a creative, stationery-themed VIKids Carnival designed to inspire imagination and hands-on learning among children. Featuring a colourful interactive photo spot complete with a giant stationery-inspired selfie frame, the event also includes daily DIY craft workshops from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Children below 12 years old will have the opportunity to personalise school essentials such as School Timetables, Stationery Holders, Pencil Toppers and custom Bookmarks.

Mesra Mall’s reward programme further enhances the experience by offering VIKids members two complimentary workshop tickets with a single-receipt purchase of RM50 and above at participating specialty stores. New VIKids members who register with a minimum spend of RM100 in a single receipt will also receive workshop tickets, together with a special Stationery Set Goodie Bag for the first 300 sign-ups.

According to Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, the VIKids Carnival aims to deliver meaningful value, creative learning opportunities and memorable experiences for communities during the school holiday season. Whether through Alamanda’s dazzling retro-inspired celebration or Mesra Mall’s educational hands-on workshops, the initiative reflects a continued commitment to creating exceptional, family-centric experiences that leave lasting holiday memories.
