Sony BRAVIA 98” TV Brings Cinematic Brilliance Home at Sony Expo 2025

Sony Malaysia has officially launched the BRAVIA 5 98” TV, the largest screen in its 2025 lineup, during the Sony Expo at Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall. This new addition marks a significant step forward in premium home entertainment, bringing a cinematic experience into living rooms across the country.

As streaming platforms continue to grow and redefine how we enjoy content, Sony’s latest television meets the demand for immersive viewing at home. Built with industry-leading picture and sound technologies, the 98” BRAVIA 5 transforms any living space into a private cinema, delivering images rich in detail, depth, and realism.

Drawing from Sony’s expertise in professional film production equipment including cinema cameras, monitors, and headphones the BRAVIA 5 bridges the gap between creators and viewers. Features like Studio Calibrated modes for Netflix, SONY PICTURES CORE, and Prime Video ensure accurate visual reproduction, reflecting the true vision of filmmakers.

The TV also supports IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X for enhanced brightness, deeper contrast, and powerful surround sound. With XR Backlight Master Drive and local dimming technology, every frame is precisely lit to deliver bold highlights and refined shadows.

When paired with BRAVIA Theatre home audio systems, users can enjoy a unified experience. The BRAVIA Connect App allows control of both TV and audio settings through a smartphone, while integrated settings appear directly on the TV menu for easier operation.

Sustainability is another key focus in this year’s lineup. The BRAVIA 5 uses Sony’s proprietary signal processing to optimize brightness and reduce power consumption. It also features the Eco Dashboard 2 for managing energy use and includes recycled materials like SORPLAS plastic, aluminium, and steel in various components.

Accessibility is also thoughtfully integrated. The TV includes Talkback screen reader functionality, tactile markings for easy port recognition, and voice commands to operate the device. These features aim to make BRAVIA accessible to users of all abilities.

Sony Expo 2025 is currently underway at Mid Valley Megamall until 6 July, offering visitors a firsthand experience of the new BRAVIA series. Guests can explore content demos, talk to product experts, and enjoy limited-time promotions.

The BRAVIA 5 98” TV is priced at RM29,999 and includes a BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9, a premium wireless subwoofer (SA-SW5), and RM300 in TNG credit. Also on display are the BRAVIA 8 II and BRAVIA 2 II models, offering a range of options for different viewing needs and budgets.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the Sony Expo to witness how “Bigger is Better” when it comes to home entertainment. Additional discounts and promotions are available during the event period.
