  • Kakiseni and BOH Plantations announce the nominations for the 19th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards at Nero, PJPAC

    As Malaysia’s artistic community prepares for an amazing display of talent at the 19th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards (19BCAA)!, excitement is in the air once more! As we commemorate and celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our country’s performing artists, who have captured audiences’ attention and kept the arts vibrant throughout the last year, be ready to be carried away.

    As we ready ourselves to applaud our brilliant homegrown arts fraternity, let us revel in the magic they create, igniting hearts and minds with their boundless determination and creativity. The 19BCAA Nominations will be revealed at the Nero Event Space, Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC) in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya on 18 March 2024.

    It is the culmination of shows judged over the last year, with 74 productions in dance, music, musical theatre and theatre submitted and judged by a formidable group of judges. There will be a total of 37 sub-categories including Best Actor/Performer in a Leading Role, Best Costume, Styling & Make-up, Production Values and more awards for performance, technical & creative talents.

    This year’s theme Pentas Kehidupan: Meneroka Tanpa Batasan, has been chosen to celebrate the boundless exploration of creativity within the performing arts community. From the mundane to the extraordinary, our life experiences serve as the ultimate muse for innovation and imagination, and we want to acknowledge and pay tribute to the transformative power of art as well as the richness and complexity of the human experience.

  • Tourism Industry Award 2024 Serves As Tribute of Excellence for High-Achievers in the Tourism Industry

    Tourism Industry Award (TIA) will be held on July 26, 2024, at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur. More than 60 awards will be given to industry leaders for their contributions to the development of Malaysia’s tourist sector.

    According to Dato’ Emmy Suraya Hussein, Organising Chairman of TIA 2024 the awards  recognises and honours tourism industry players for outstanding and innovative products and services. It also acts as an incentive for participants to strive for the highest level of professionalism and quality in both products and services.

    “Tourism Industry Award is a tribute and highest accolade for individuals and organisations  whose outstanding contributions play a significant role in the success of tourism industry. I take this opportunity to invite everyone to submit their nominations of deserving individuals and organisations in the respective categories of the Tourism Industry Award 2024. I look forward to receiving a good response from the public as it is a way to acknowledge and recognize those who have worked hard to uphold the standards of tourism in this country,” she added.

    For the first time, this prestigious award is organize by Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MITDA) and co-organize by MFMPA (Malaysia Fashion Modeling Pageant Association) and Santai Travel.

  • MALAYSIA’S NATIONAL ENERGY AWARDS 2024 OPENS FOR ENTRIES

    In support of the nation’s just energy transition and sustainable development aspirations, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change today announced the call for submissions for the National Energy Award (NEA) 2024, the country’s highest accolade for organisations and projects that have employed game-changing sustainable energy initiatives and practices.

    Offering a total of 18 awards across 3 categories of energy management, energy-efficient buildings and renewable energy, NEA 2024, is open to eligible Malaysian companies, organisations, and individuals, that are paving the way in adopting sustainable energy practices, achieving new benchmarks in energy efficiency, energy management, and innovative renewable energy solutions.

    A dedicated category has also been created to recognise the efforts of energy performance contracting projects, institutions of higher learning as well as domestic, international, and financial institutions for the provision of sustainable energy financing solutions.

    NEA 2024 provides an important avenue for organisations to support the Government’s strategic efforts to further increase public awareness and industry participation in sustainable energy initiatives. It also serves to identify Malaysian champions to compete against regional peers at the prestigious annual ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA), to be held in the last quarter of 2024.

    The past six years have seen NEA continue to attract increasing participation with over 849 organisations submitting entries. Winners of NEA qualify to represent Malaysia at the ASEAN Energy Awards, the region’s highest recognition for the adoption of sustainable practices, with 12 Malaysian organisations winning this year at the recently concluded ceremony in Bali.

    The call for submissions for NEA 2024 will be opened until 23 February 2024 and submissions must be received before the deadline.
