  • ‘Outta My Mind’ new single of Aini Mazalan

    Reflecting on the transition from past relationships to the exciting uncertainties of the future, Aini Mazalan’s most recent song goes into the idea of moving on and welcomes new beginnings. Written by Aini herself, the music flows naturally from her thoughts. The process of finishing the song became incredibly fast and effortless.

    “This song is about moving on from your past relationship and entering the next chapter of your life. I wrote this song in just one night, it is not related with my personal life. I just created random lyrics to fit the melody that I composed spontaneously.

    “When I first started I had completed crafting the first demo in June 2023, although I recorded the song later in October 2023. The process of finishing the song was a fast and short process,” she explained.

    In this fresh track, she is rocking more falsetto and whispers, giving it a unique vibe. She spilled the beans that it wasn’t really a walk in the park and had to hit that record button a few times to get it just right. And if listener listens closely, there’s a vocal layer party happening, adding that extra flavor to the sound.

    “This time along, my song uses a lot of falsetto and whispers, I find it pretty hard to control my voice and I have to re-record the song for a couple of times. The vocals also has a lot of layering if you listen to it carefully making it more interesting,” she added.

    Be ready for a musical roller coaster as Aini unveils an upbeat heartbreak anthem that seamlessly blends dance rhythms with a mix of motivation and melancholy. This single is a departure from her previous project, taking a bold step into uncharted territory. Initially hesitant to release it due to its divergence from the last single, Aini decided to embrace the change, delivering a fresh and catchy tune that marks a daring exploration into new sonic landscapes.

    “The listeners can expect an upbeat heartbreak song. It is a dance, motivational and sad at the same time. The single is an upbeat and catchy song. It’s quite different from my last project. I hesitated to release it at first because it is quite different from my previous single, but I think I wanna try something new,” she said.

    With a hand on approach to both writing and production, Aini takes the helm in crafting the latest release, expertly weaving together her musical vision. Collaborating with the talented producer Thodappakuchi on the bassline and drums, the song emerges as a seamless fusion of creative energies.

    “I wrote, compose and produce this song. The bassline & drums were composed by a producer called Thodappakuchi.”

    Eager to resonate with audiences in the vibrant South East Asia (SEA) markets, Aini aspires to captivate listeners, inviting them to enjoy and dance to the infectious beats of this track. This release marks not only a musical endeavor but a heartfelt connection with fans, fostering a shared experience through the rhythm and melody.

    “I really hope that this song will reach to the right audience especially in SEA markets, the more the merrier. I do hope that my listeners and fans enjoy the song and dance to it as much as I love creating the track,” Aini said.

  • Selain Bidang Nyanyian, Once Mekel Bakal Menceburi Dunia Politik

    Once Mekel menyimpan keterujaan kerana pertama kali bergandingan di Malaysia dengan dua rakan vokalis yang telah mencipta nama mereka sendiri melalui keunikan vokal masing-masing.

    Once Mekel akan berkolaborasi bersama Bams Samsons dan Marcell melalui Konsert Trio Terhebat Vol. 1 yang dibawakan oleh Arena Muzik bersama sokongan Icon Entertainment.

    Penyanyi berusia 53 tahun itu mahu memastikan perkongsian pentas mereka bertiga akan memberi kepuasan kepada peminat.

    “Saya cukup teruja untuk berkongsi pentas Trio Terhebat bersama Bams Samsons dan Marcell. Jadi saat dilamar sahabat yang sangat saya percayai, Iman Tang dari Icon Entertainment saya tidak mengambil masa yang lama untuk bersetuju dengan konsepnya.

    “Seingat saya, saya pernah membuat persembahan bersama Marcell di Indonesia tetapi belum pernah dengan Bams.

    “Sudah tentu (Trio Terhebat) ini akan menjadi sebuah konsert yang menarik dengan setiap daripada kami mungkin akan mempersembahkan sekitar lapan sehingga 10 buah lagu”.

    “Setelah itu saya juga bakal mempunyai kesempatan membuat persembahan dengan band Marcell dan Bams Samsons,” kata penyanyi kelahiran Makkasar ini.

    Selain pertama kali membuat persembahan bersama Marcell dan Bams Samsons, walau di negara kelahiran mereka, Malaysia, Once mahu pendengar dan peminat mengenalinya sebagai figura solo dan berdiri di atas nama Once Mekel, bukan sebagai vokalis Dewa 19.

    Sedar bahawa namanya dan Dewa 19 tidak akan dapat dihapus dalam sejarah namun Once mahu peminat yang bakal hadir ke Konsert Trio Terhebat pada 4 Mei 2024 di Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre juga biasa dengan lagu-lagu hit miliknya sendiri.

    “Apa yang pasti saya akan mempersembahkan lagu dari album-album solo Once Mekel seperti Dealova, Matilah Kau, Simfoni Indah dan Ku Cinta Kau Apa Adanya,” kata Once.

    Vokalis yang terkenal dengan nada suara tinggi itu bagaimanapun tidak keberatan jika pihak penganjur iaitu Icon Entertainment mahu dia membawakan lagu Dewa 19.

    “Namun secara peribadi saya tidak berhasrat membawa lagu-lagu dari Dewa 19. Tergantung permintaan (penganjur),” ujar Once lagi.

    Ironi ketidakmahuan Once membawakan lagu-lagu Dewa 19 adalah kerana dihalang pengasas band fenomena itu, Ahmad Dhani. Dhani melarang membawa lagu-lagu Dewa 19 dalam persembahan solo Once kerana perihal royalti.

    Mengulas mengenai isu tersebut, Once menyifatkan untuk kes bersama Dewa 19, Dhani wajar dan berhak ke atas karya yang dihasilkan.

    “Cuma secara peribadi menurut saya jika seorang komposer menghalang penyanyi dengan lagu yang dibikin khas buat dirinya untuk dedikasikan di dalam persembahan, itu jadi tidak wajar.

    “Soalnya isu royalti adalah antara pencipta dengan penganjur bukan bersama penyanyi. Penyanyi hanya menyampaikan karya yang dibuat untuk mereka,” ulas Once.

    Dari Muzik ke Dunia Politik

    Sementara itu bercakap mengenai percubaan pertamanya masuk ke dunia politik menerusi pencalonan dari Parti Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) yang mewakili kawasan Daerah Khas Ibukota (DKI) Jakarta II meliputi Jakarta Selatan serta Jakarta Pusat pada Pemilu 2024, ada harapan besar yang disandarkan Once.

    Once yang merupakan lulusan undang-undang dari Universiti Indonesia berharap agar dapat memperbaiki sturuktur dalam dunia muzik selain membantu masyarakat dalam kelangsungan hidup sehari-hari.

    Sejak sekian lama sudah ramai rakan seangkatan dari dunia seni terjun ke dunia politik dan bersama mereka, Once mahu mencetuskan sesuatu yang lebih baik dan positif untuk industri kreatif Indonesia.

    “Saya mahu memperjuangkan isu berkaitan artis mengenai hak cipta serta undang-undang, banyak perlu diperjuang terutama dari segi hak cipta dan undang-undang untuk terus membangunkan industri kreatif Indonesia.

    “Dan selain itu saya mahu mendengar serta membantu masyarakat. Saya lebih senang anggap diri wakil rakyat daripada ahli politik kerana mahu dekat dengan rakyat,” katanya.

    Kini Once berdebar menanti keputusan sama ada beliau akan lulus atau tidak menerusi keputusan pada 20 Mac ini.

    “Setidaknya saya mahu dikenali sebagai wakil rakyat dengan imej bersih dan boleh dipercayai,” katanya yang masuk bertanding pada Februari lalu.

    Meski mungkin akan menggalas tanggungjawab baharu sebagai wakil rakyat, Once mengatakan sama sekali tidak akan meninggalkan dunia seni terutama sebagai penyanyi.

Tetapi Alhamdullilah saya mempunyai sokongan team dan komuniti yang hebat sehingga semuanya dapat dijalankan dengan begitu mudah. Kami memulakan penggambaran pada pukul 10 pagi di sebuah pusat pemberian makanan di London. Kami menampilkan aktiviti harian para peniaga yang akan mengatur barangan makanan sebelum diserahkan kepada masyarakat yang memerlukan. Adegan yang paling saya sukai adalah scene kami menjamu selera beramai-ramai, seperti kami sedang berbuka puasa bersama, berkongsi makanan, dan saling berkomunikasi dengan penuh kegembiraan. ”
