    Following the success of her recent debut concert, esteemed vocalist Liza Hanim presents her latest offering, the poignant ballad “Perisai Cinta.” Serving as the original soundtrack for the drama series “Ternyata Sebuah Bahagia,” the song beautifully showcases Liza’s signature ability to evoke deep emotions through her music.

    “Perisai Cinta,” composed by Omar K and Shazriq Azeman, delves into the complexities of love, hope, and ultimately, finding solace in divine refuge. The song narrates the journey of the drama’s main female character, Janice, portrayed by Sarimah Ibrahim.

    Liza, renowned for her heartfelt interpretations of ballads, shared her insights into the song’s profound meaning. “For me, ‘Perisai Cinta’ holds dual interpretations. On one level, it captures Janice’s struggles and aspirations, but it also carries a powerful divine message. It speaks to how, in moments of hardship, we often turn to human connections for support. In the song, Janice relies on a man who becomes her beacon of hope. However, when she realizes his own flaws and fallibility, she awakens to the truth that true refuge lies only in Allah Taala, not in mere mortals.”

    This project marks Liza’s first collaboration with Omar K and Shazriq Azeman, the talented creators and songwriters behind “Perisai Cinta.”

    Expressing her excitement about the collaboration, Liza shared, “I’ve long admired Omar K’s music. It’s contemporary and resonates with the current times. I never had the chance to work with him until now, so this first meeting and collaboration was truly thrilling. As for Shazriq Azeman, we had a brief encounter on the ‘All Together Now’ stage, but this was our first time working together on a project.”

    Liza commended both Omar and Shazriq for their respectful and courteous nature, which contributed to a smooth and enjoyable recording experience.

    “I approached this project with the same passion I bring to all my recordings,” Liza explained. “I had already memorized the song and understood its narrative. Thankfully, everything flowed seamlessly, and we completed the recording in just about 45 minutes! I truly believe this song possesses a special magic.”

    Liza hopes that “Perisai Cinta” will touch the hearts of listeners, both her devoted fans and new audiences alike. “May this song find a special place in everyone’s hearts,” she expressed, concluding the conversation.
