Malaysia is among the first countries selected to launch the new HONOR 400 Series on 22 May 2025. The global smart device brand HONOR has officially announced its upcoming release, which has already sparked excitement on social media for its cutting-edge AI Imaging technology. At the heart of the series is a standout feature: AI Image to Video, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud AI, which allows users to transform still images into short, moving videos effortlessly.
The HONOR 400 Series introduces a powerful combination of next-generation AI capabilities and flagship-level camera hardware. Designed to elevate everyday photography, the AI Image to Video tool empowers users to animate static pictures directly from the photo gallery without relying on third-party apps. This feature makes it easier than ever to create engaging content from personal memories and creative visuals, redefining what’s possible from a smartphone.
Both models in the HONOR 400 Series come equipped with a 200MP Main Camera supported by a large 1/1.4-inch sensor, offering superior image clarity even in low-light settings. These are further enhanced with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). A 12MP Macro and Wide Camera adds flexibility for expansive shots, while the HONOR 400 Pro includes a 50MP Telephoto Camera with up to 50x digital zoom. The standard HONOR 400 offers 30x zoom. On the front, users will enjoy a 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera capable of delivering studio-quality results.
What sets the HONOR 400 Series apart is its full suite of Next-Gen AI Imaging tools. These features allow users to transform, refine, and enhance their photos with ease. The AI Image to Video function brings old and static photos to life. To showcase this, HONOR recently released two emotional videos for Mother’s Day. In one, a daughter used the HONOR 400 Pro to animate a photo with her late mother, resulting in a touching moment where her mother smiles and moves in the recreated video. In another, a grieving girl was comforted when her father animated a photograph of her and her grandmother, reigniting a heartfelt connection through the moving image.
The series also features AI Eraser 2.0, which can remove unwanted objects or glare from photos for a cleaner finish. AI Cutout gives users the ability to extract people or objects and change backgrounds seamlessly, ideal for professional use or creative projects. AI Outpainting allows users to expand image borders and backgrounds, making scenic shots even more impactful. With AI Upscale, old or low-resolution photos can be revived with crisp detail and clarity. Moving Photo Collage offers a fun way to combine Live Photos into dynamic stories complete with audio and effects. Meanwhile, Harcourt Studio 2.0 refines portrait photography with enhanced edge details, background blur, and a selection of elegant film-style filters for artistic flair.
