    Samsung Malaysia Electronics has been honored with the ESGBusiness Award 2025, a prestigious recognition that highlights the company’s dedication to sustainability, responsible innovation, and environmentally conscious business practices. This accolade reflects the collective efforts of Samsung’s employees, partners, and customers who continue to support the mission of creating a positive impact on both the environment and society. Guided by a comprehensive ESG roadmap, Samsung Malaysia has introduced initiatives that drive meaningful change.

    Central to Samsung’s sustainability journey is the push to reduce paper usage through digital innovation. The introduction of solutions such as the e-queue service ticket has encouraged customers to adopt paperless processes while improving efficiency and reducing waste. Between 2022 and 2024, Samsung successfully transitioned approximately 359,907 transactions to digital alternatives, conserving the equivalent of 35 trees. This approach not only enhances the customer experience but also contributes directly to global environmental objectives.

    In addition to digital initiatives, Samsung has launched Eco Repair, a program aimed at extending the life of electronic products while offering more affordable and sustainable repair options. By choosing repair over replacement, customers can make environmentally responsible decisions that reduce electronic waste and conserve valuable resources. From 2022 to 2024, Samsung repaired around 41,419 mobile devices and 18,417 televisions, which helped preserve an estimated 131,316 trees.

    Recognizing the importance of proper e-waste management, Samsung also introduced Eco Recycle Boxes at service centers nationwide. These collection points provide customers with a convenient way to dispose of old devices, tablets, and accessories responsibly. By the end of 2024, the program had collected 138.68 kilograms of e-waste, ensuring that these materials were recycled safely and kept out of landfills.
