Women Talk, a roundtable discussion programme starring Deborah Henry and Zoraya Vadillo, will return for a new season on TV3 and the video streaming service Tonton at www.tonton.com.my on April 29, 2023. With her debut beginning on June 10, Sazzy Falak will shortly finish up the host roster alongside the current hosts.

Multi-talented celebrity, Sazzy Falak, who’s known for her many talents as a host, actress, entrepreneur and fashion icon will soon feature in weekly discussions of Women Talk. Deborah Henry and Sazzy Falak are no longer a strange combination in the hosting industry as they have had the opportunity to host together, so this trio will further bring up the atmosphere together with Zoraya Vadillo and guest panellists on the show.

At the Pullman KLCC, the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia’s (RIM) ‘Sumbangan Rahmah Industri Muzik’ charity project was formally launched by YB Datuk Seri Salahuddin bin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living. Professionals in the music industry who are experiencing financial difficulties due to a variety of circumstances can apply for financial assistance from this recently established charitable fund under this scheme, including singers, musicians, composers, and public relations representatives of record labels, to name just a few.

“The ‘Sumbangan Rahmah Industri Muzik’ charity programme is an expansion of our previous Emergency Fund that was set-up to provide urgent financial assistance to music industry practitioners who were in financial distress due to the pandemic. Through RIM’s Emergency Fund, we have managed to provide financial assistance to Man Kidal (Lefthanded), Kid (Search), Mel (Wings), Zydee (One Nation Emcees), Roslan Aziz, Ross Ariffin and many others.” said Rosmin Hashim, Chairman of RIM.

He added that “there was a need to expand RIM’s Emergency Fund as music industry practitioners continue to face many hardships even after the pandemic. We heard about the plight of veteran artistes struggling to make ends meet as well as those needing help to pay their hefty medical bills. We are very grateful that we managed to secure funding support from Public Performance Malaysia Berhad (PPM), Malaysia’s oldest Collective Management Organisation for the ‘Sumbangan Rahmah Industri Muzik’ charity programme with an annual funding of RM100,000.”

“As with the previous RIM Emergency Fund, we will adhere to the set parameters and conditions in the disbursement of financial assistance from the ‘Sumbangan Rahmah Industri Muzik’ fund to deserving applicants. All applications will be subjected to the review and approval of this charity programme’s Committee comprising of selected RIM Council members. We hope that this charity programme will help bring some measure of relief to music industry practitioners who are in dire need of financial assistance.”

“The ‘Sumbangan Rahmah Industri Muzik’ is also in line with the ‘Payung Rahmah’ initiative initiated by YB Datuk Seri Salahuddin bin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living to help defray the cost of living of the people and we are honoured to have him officiate the launch of RIM’s charity programme tonight. Applications for the financial assistance can be submitted from 1 June 2023 onwards at a dedicated page on RIM’s website.” Rosmin concluded.

During the night, contributions of RM2,000 each were handed out by the KPDN Minister to the first 10 recipients of the charity fund which included:

1. Ibnor Riza – Suffering from Stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer
2. Zaiton Sameon – Traumatic brain injuries and loss of income
3. Rahim Maarof – Stroke and currently in ICU
4. Ali (XPDC) – Loss of income due to stroke
5. Sazali P. Ramlee – Health problems and low royalty
6. Dato’ Ooi Eow Jin – Loss of income due to Alzheimers
7. Ben Nathan – Depression and needs financial assistance to take care of his mother’s medical bills
8. Huang Jun Tian – Bedridden after stroke
9. Zaleha Hamid – Stroke and bedridde
10. Shima – Nerve problems and a mysterious illness

After the KPDN Minister’s officiation of the programme, guests were treated to performances by current and veteran artistes such as Ikhwan Fatanna, Aqeesh Aleeya, Aishah, Ramlah Ram and Dato’ Francissca Peter. The night ended on a high note when the KPDN Minister made his rounds to mingle with local artistes for a casual meet and greet session.

Menerusi Program TABIKA Pra-Tahfiz KEMAS, seramai 100,000 anak muda Taman Bimbingan Kanak-kanak (TABIKA) di bawah Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat, KEMAS dijangka bergelar ”Huffaz Cilik” dalam tempoh tiga tahun.

Program berkenaan akan dilaksanakan Julai ini dengan kerjasama Yayasan Pahang selaku rakan strategik yang akan membantu dari aspek tadbir urus termasuk pengisian modul, teknik hafazan, pemantauan, perkongsian amalan terbaik serta latihan secara berterusan.

Menurut Timbalan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, program ini adalah nilai tambah bagi Modul Program Penghayatan Pendidikan Islam (PPI) yang memberi penekanan dan tumpuan khusus terhadap dua aspek iaitu pembelajaran ibadah dan pengajian Al Quran.

Modul PPI yang dilaksanakan sejak 2017 ini merangkumi pengaplikasian kaedah pembelajaran yang bersifat kontemporari dan berkonsep didik hibur.

Tambah beliau yang juga Menteri Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah (KKDW), Program TABIKA Pra Tahfiz KEMAS ini mengabungkan elemen 7M iaitu Mengaji, Menghafaz, Membaca, Menulis, Mengira, Menaakul dan Manusiawi.

“Pelaksanaan program ini untuk menanam minat anak-anak menghafaz dan mencintai Al-Quran di usia muda melalui kaedah menguasai hafazan surah lazim dalam Juz ‘Amma dan surah pilihan dengan Qiraat, Adab dan Tadabbur”

Katanya lagi, KEMAS turut mensasarkan penglibatan lebih 1,500 kanak-kanak bimbingannya mampu membaca dan menghafaz sehingga Surah Ad-Dhuha dalam persiapan ke Tahun Satu menjelang akhir sesi persekolahan tahun ini.

Jumlah ini akan bertambah secara berperingkat kepada 4,000 kelas pada tahun hadapan, 3,000 kelas pada tahun 2025 dan menjelang tahun 2026 semua TABIKA KEMAS akan melaksanakan modul Pra Tahfiz ini.

Setakat ini jumlah TABIKA KEMAS seluruh negara adalah sebanyak 10,701 buah membabitkan 216,322 murid.

Datuk Zahid berkata demikian selepas menyempurnakan sesi Libat Urus Program TABIKA Pra Tahfiz KEMAS Bersama Masyarakat Tahun 2023 hari ini.

Hadir sama Ketua Pengarah KEMAS Ahmad Kamal Idris Mohd Nawawi.

Dalam perkembangan lain, KEMAS juga meraih Anugerah `Trusted Brand’ bagi kategori Pusat Pembelajaran Pra Sekolah Pilihan Pengguna di Malaysia sebanyak empat kali oleh Reader’s Digest pada tahun 2017, 2020,2022 dan 2023.

Pengiktirafan ini berdasarkan undian atas talian yang dijalankan oleh Reader’s Digest kepada hampir 8,000 responden mengenai pandangan pengundi terhadap sistem pendidikan pra sekolah di Malaysia.

On May 17, 2023, Universal Music Malaysia is ecstatic to announce the “Music is Universal” event, which will take place at the Tap Room KL in Bamboo Hills. Attendees are recommended to arrive early in order to see all of the captivating performances by our talented Malaysian and Indonesian artists. The event will start exactly at 7:30 p.m.

The main objectives of the event are to connect Universal Music companies from other regions as a whole, and showcase the talented artists of Universal Music Malaysia, while providing opportunities for Universal Music Malaysia staff and artists to meet and network with individuals from other Universal Music regions.

The attendees include representatives from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam as well as Thailand.

DOLLA is an upcoming girl group from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Made up of Sabronzo, Tabby, Syasya, and Angel, DOLLA was formed in 2019. DOLLA released their first single, ‘DOLLA Make You Wanna’, produced by Bryan B on the 20th of March 2020 – the music video currently has over 3 million views on YouTube. DOLLA released their second single, ‘Impikan’, and the English version, ‘Watch Me Glow’, in October 2020. ‘Impikan’ had a million views on YouTube in less than two weeks, and gained widespread media attention locally and internationally as well within the SEA region and Korea. The girls have also worked with several brands, such as Hyundai, Allianz, Cosmoderm, and Xiaomi. In 2021, DOLLA was nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Best Fanclub’ in the upcoming Era Digital Music Awards.

Airliftz is a Malaysian rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer. From Soundcloud to center-stage, Airliftz is no stranger to the Malaysian music industry. Laying the foundations of his growth from being a promising young talent to opening for international acts such as Anderson Paak. and Joji, performing for music festivals across the country and becoming a major-label signee under RedRecords.

Mikha Angelo is an Indonesian singer-songwriter who rose to fame after appearing on the Indonesian version of the hit television show “X Factor.” He has since released several successful albums and has performed at numerous concerts and events throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Mikha and his band also have successfully released more than 300 million ++ streams. And now Mikha is going to realize his solo career with Universal Music Group

In addition to the talented artists, “Music is Universal” will also feature several skilled DJs; DJ Reeve, Alicia Fireheart and MC Millo who will be providing the music for the event.

Yonnyboii, seorang penyanyi rap tempatan telah kembali dengan sebuah lagi lagu hebat bertajuk “Flash & Dash”. Dari segi persembahan dan gaya, lagu yang digubah oleh Yonnyboii dan SonaOne, Wolfy, GUCCIMITH ini memang unik.

Istimewa kali ini juga, Yonnyboii berkolaborasi bersama bintang rap dari Bumi Kenyalang, Sarawak GUCCIMITH untuk menghidupkan lagi karya tersebut.

“Saya rasa lagu ni lebih segar serta menyeronokkan. Belum ada lagu dengan gaya seperti ini. Malah secara peribadi ia sesuatu yang saya sendiri tidak pernah buat. Ia boleh dianggap eksperimental untuk diri saya yang belum pernah mencuba gaya sebegini,” ujar Yonnyboii membuka bicara.

Menurutnya lagi tajuk lagu ini, iaitu Flash & Dash sememangnya terinspirasi dari sini animasi Anime Jepun yang pernah popular pada tahun 90-an.

“Pesan yang kerap dipaparkan dalam siri kartun tersebut adalah bagaimana watak-watak utamanya sentiasa ingin berusaha menjadi juara dan pemenang. Jadi itulah yang ingin saya kongsikan. Kita semua ingin jadi yang terbaik namun masa itu suntuk. Kita tidak mungkin dapat mengejar waktu. Jadi berusahalah secepatnya jika mahu berjaya,” tambahnya lagi.

“Setelah mengambil keputusan untuk menyiapkan projek ini, saya baru sedar yang saya sebenarnya memang mahu menampilkan rakan seindustri GUCCIMITH. Walaupun dia berada di Kuching, kebetulan semasa hendak merakam lagu ini dia berada di Kuala Lumpur. Jadi dia terus datang ke rumah untuk proses rakaman saya dan tidak sampai tiga jam, lagu ini siap dirakam,”jelasnya.

Lagu ini juga didatangkan dengan sebuah klip video yang menarik.

“Ini kali pertama saya membuat penggambaran video dengan gerakan kereta ‘drift’ yang begitu laju. Sangat menyeronokkan. Malah, semua yang terlibat memberi kerjasama yang baik termasuk rakan saya GUCCIMITH sendiri’” ulasnya tentang video muzik lagu tersebut.

“Saya harap semua orang akan menyukai lagu ini dan dapat menangkap pesan yang ingin cuba saya sampaikan. Sesiapa yang pernah menonton siri Anime Flash & Dash pasti tahu apa yang saya maksudkan dan mengerti perasaannya. Semoga dapat memberi inspirasi pada para pendengar,” bingkas Yonnyboii mengakhiri bicara.

Bertempat di Dewan Serbaguna Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) AU2, Taman Keramat, Selangor, Majlis Pelancaran Program Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) telah disempurnakan oleh Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup, dan Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar Selangor.

Majlis Pelancaran Program Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) pada hari ini adalah sebagai tanda kick-off Program Jualan Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) yang akan dilaksanakan di semua 56 kawasan DUN di seluruh Negeri Selangor, di mana lokasi dan keperluan logistik diuruskan oleh pihak DUN.

Program Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) yang pertama diadakan di Negeri Selangor ini menawarkan dan memfokuskan penjualan bagi tujuh (7) jenis barang keperluan asas utama pengguna seperti Ayam Segar, Beras, Telur Ayam, Minyak Masak, Ikan, Gula Pasir dan Daging Sejuk Beku pada harga runcit serendah 30% berbanding harga pasaran. Tempoh bagi jualan JER ini akan berlangsung selama tiga (3) jam sahaja dengan konsep premis terbuka.

Untuk pengetahuan, Program JER Selangor ini merupakan kerjasama strategik pertama yang digerakkan di antara Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN) Selangor bersama Kerajaan Negeri melalui Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor (PKPS). Kerjasama strategik ini adalah idea penggabungan dan penyelarasan dua program di bawah inisiatif kos sara hidup iaitu Program Jualan RAHMAH dan Jualan Ehsan Rakyat di Selangor dengan penjenamaan semula sebagai Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER).

Seterusnya, hasil penjenamaan semula sebagai Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) adalah disebabkan Program Jualan RAHMAH dan Jualan Ehsan Rakyat didapati mempunyai objektif, modus pelaksanaan dan golongan sasaran yang hampir serupa. Susulan daripada hasrat dan matlamat adalah sama telah menghasilkan satu persetujuan bersama di antara KPDN Selangor dengan Kerajaan Negeri untuk mengambil satu langkah ke hadapan yang logikal (logical next step) di mana inisiatif JER ini dilihat dapat mengurangkan kos pelaksanaan, meningkatkan impak dan memberi manfaat kepada lebih ramai golongan yang kurang berkemampuan di negeri Selangor.

KPDN bersama Kerajaan Negeri berharap Program JER Selangor ini dapat memberi impak yang positif kepada rakyat Selangor, terutamanya di kalangan golongan berpendapatan rendah dan penduduk kawasan luar bandar. Pada masa yang sama, KPDN mengajak dan menggalakkan lebih ramai pemain industri khususnya hypermarket dan pasar raya supaya dapat bersama-sama menjayakan aspirasi ini dalam mengurangkan tekanan terhadap kos sara hidup rakyat.

KPDN Negeri Selangor merakamkan setinggi penghargaan kepada semua pihak yang terlibat di atas komitmen yang mampan sepanjang menjayakan Program Jualan Mega Ehsan RAHMAH (JER) ini bagi membantu golongan yang memerlukan dalam meringankan kos sara hidup pengguna serta merancakkan ekonomi negara dengan menggalakkan rakyat berbelanja.
