  • UMAT ISLAM PERLU BERGANDING BAHU HENTIKAN BERCAKARAN DEMI KUASA

    KUALA LUMPUR, 12 Oktober: Perkembangan politik negara kini menggusarkan semua pihak terutama rakyat.

    Ditambah dengan kenyataan oleh Istana Negara baru-baru ini yang memaklumkan Yang  di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum  Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah menzahirkan rasa kecewa dengan keadaan  politik semasa telah menjentik hati rakyat negara ini. 

    Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) secara konsisten menegaskan pertubuhan ini  tidak menyebelahi mana-mana pihak dalam arena politik negara. 

    Ketua Aktivis PPIM, Nadzim Johan@toqqi berkata PPIM berkongsi kegusaran rakyat yang  bimbang dengan masa depan serta maruah negara jika kepimpinan negara jatuh ke tangan  pihak tidak sepatutnya akibat daripada percakaran ahli politik beragama Islam. 

    “Jika kita mahu berjaya, mahu kekal menjadi pentadbir di negara yang bertuah penuh  barokah ini, kita sebagai umat Islam harus bersatu, tidak ada jalan lain,” tegasnya. 

    Nadzim menyambut baik saranan PAS yang mahu penyatuan ummah menjadi realiti  apabila kuasa besar negara ini bersama-sama berjuang dalam arena politik. 

    “Kami di PPIM amat bersetuju jika kuasa besar orang melayu, orang Islam bergabung dan  kembali memerintah negara kita,  

    “Sejarah membuktikan umat Islam negara ini tidak pernah mengenepikan hak bukan Islam  malah kebebasan beragama, berniaga dan hidup aman damai bersama di Malaysia antara  perkara yang amat kita banggakan di rantau ini. 

    Tidak ada pemimpin negara lain boleh menyatupadukan rakyat pelbagai agama berbilang  kaum seperti yang kita lakukan di negara ini,” katanya.

    Nadzim berkata PPIM sentiasa menyokong usaha mana-mana pihak yang mahu  bekerjasama dan menolak kerakusan mengejar kuasa dan tamak. 

    “PPIM akan menyatakan sokongan dari masa ke semasa kepada calon tertentu yang  dilihat mampu membawa isu rakyat dan tidak mementingkan diri, 

    “Lihatlah negara kita kini, apa nasib rakyat jika pemimpin di atas sana terus bercakaran dan  mencari kesalahan serta kelemahan sesama mereka, apa salahnya mereka bergabung dan  berganding bahu menggunakan kelebihan masing-masing demi masa depan negara yang  lebih baik,” katanya. 

    Nadzim berkata situasi politik negara kini tidak sedikitpun membantu masalah dihadapi  rakyat seperti krisis ekonomi, kesukaran mendapat pekerjaan, ditekan oleh pemimpin zalim  dan diselebungi rasa takut kehilangan negara sendiri.

     About Dato’ Jamal Abdillah

    Dato’ Jamal has raked up several awards. For his outstanding achievement and contribution to the entertainment industry he was awarded ‘Anugerah Pencapaian Sepanjang Hayat’ (ABPBH 2008) which he received in 2009 during the award night of ‘Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2008’ in Genting Highland.

    After taking a break for almost a year, he decided on a solo concert named ‘Konsert Kembara Seniman’ for his fans at Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya to kick start the year of 2010. Following this, another solo concert named ‘J2011 Lagenda’ was held at the same venue and another concert at Istana Budaya from 2012 to 2022. This time around, his concert focused on his vocals with music arrangements that touched and captivated the hearts of many in the audience. In September 2011 he was invited to perform in Singapore where he has not set foot for almost 30 years.   • KEMENANGAN BERSAMA MUAZ DAN RADEN MENJADI PENUTUP FIT FOR ACTION!

    Petaling Jaya, 12 Oktober 2022 – FIT FOR ACTION, yang disiarkan dari 9.00 malam hingga 10.30 malam di TV3 dan disiarkan secara langsung dalam HD di www.tonton.com.my, telah menutup pintunya selepas enam minggu berlakon dan mempelajari kaedah lakonan.

    FIT FOR ACTION, program pertandingan realiti baharu yang berkonsepkan cabaran lakon – layar dan fizikal untuk mencari pelakon lelaki dan pelakon wanita versatil Malaysia telah mengumumkan Muaz dan Raden sebagai juara manakala Marc Syammie dan Lisa sebagai naib juara.

    Juara FIT FOR ACTION telah memenangi kontrak tawaran berlakon di saluran Media Prima beserta trofi. Naib juara juga membawa pulang trofi.

    Sepanjang dua bulan, tunjuk ajar daripada pengarah terkemuka iaitu Datuk Yusof Haslam, Aziz.M.Osman, Heykal Hanifah dan Ellie Suriaty telah melengkapkan 12 peserta untuk melebarkan sayap mereka ke industri seni lakonan. Para peserta juga diuji dengan cabaran fizikal oleh Nana Al Khaled. Selain itu, mereka juga berpeluang untuk menimba ilmu dan berkongsi  pengalaman berlakon di samping pelakon-pelakon hebat tanah air seperti Sharifah Rose dan Gambit Saifullah.

    Juara bersama FIT FOR ACTION, Muaz 25 tahun berasal di Selangor menyatakan bahawa kejayaan ini adalah sesuatu yang tak diduga kerana beliau tidak mempunyai apa-apa pengalaman berlakon sebelum ini. Tambahan pula, beliau hampir tidak dapat teruskan dengan peringkat kedua uji bakat FIT FOR ACTION (call casting) kerana perlu menjalani kuarantin setelah menjadi kontak rapat Covid-19. Mujurlah ia hanya untuk jangka masa yang singkat, peluang untuk meneruskan call casting tidak dilepaskan begitu sahaja oleh Muaz. Terbukti usaha ini berbaloi dengan kejayaan tidak duga sebagai juara akhirnya.

    Raden Zaharatul atau lebih mesra dengan panggilan Raden iaitu juara bersama FIT FOR ACTION sudah ada pengalaman dalam lakonan sebagai pelakon tambahan. Apa yang diinginkan oleh Raden dalam menyertai FIT FOR ACTION adalah untuk mengasah bakat dan mendapat tunjuk ajar dari penggiat seni berpengalaman dan telah berjaya. Dengan kejayaan yang beliau perolehi dalam FIT FOR ACTION, beliau amatlah berharap untuk berpeluang menjadi pelakon utama pada masa hadapan.

    Jika kerjaya sebagai seorang pelakon menjadi perjalanan hidupnya yang akan datang, Raden menyatakan bahawa beliau bersedia dan siap dari segi mental untuk berdepan dengan kontroversi atau kecaman sebagai seorang anak seni. Menurut Raden, “Perkara ini adalah benda yang tidak boleh kawal. Apa yang kita boleh kawal adalah kita diri sendiri, kita nak buat baik atau jahat itu terletak pada diri sendiri.” Bagi Muaz pula, “Kecaman dan kontroversi tidak boleh halang, tapi kita boleh elak. Kita boleh pastikan kita tak buat kesilapan yang boleh dielak.”

    Sepanjang penyertaan Muaz dan Raden dalam FIT FOR ACTION dari minggu pertama sehingga minggu akhir, terlalu banyak saat atau momen yang menjadi ingatan sama ada yang menggembirakan atau yang menyedihkan. Bagi Muaz, penyingkiran pada awal FIT FOR ACTION dan perlu meninggalkan peserta yang lain adalah sesuatu yang amat mengecewakan dan menjadi momen yang sedih untuk beliau. Namun momen memperolehi kemasukan melalui “wild card” kembali menghidupkan peluang Muaz dalam pertandingan ini. Begitu juga dengan Raden yang turut terkesan dengan penyingkiran beliau di episod 4 dan kemasukan semula melalui “wild card”. Raden akan sentiasa mengingati momen-momen pada setiap minggu FFA terutamanya saat penyingkiran di setiap pusingan.

    FIT FOR ACTION dicergaskan lagi dengan Dutch Lady sebagai penaja bersama dan Centrum sebagai rakan penaja. Program realiti ini turut dimeriahkan dengan kehadiran Hot FM sebagai rakan radio rasmi, serta Xtra dan Oh Bulan! sebagai rakan digital.

  • SURIA KLCC DEVELOPS A MONTH-LONG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN TO PUSH MENTAL HEALTH TO THE FRONT

    Kuala Lumpur, 11 October 2022 – The condition of mental health has long required urgent attention. This was accurate before COVID-19 hit Malaysia, and it is still true today, even as we are recovering in the endemic phase. The stigma attached to mental illness in our nation is one of the major barriers to its treatment.

    In conjunction with World Mental Health Month in October, Suria KLCC together with The Body Shop invites the public to be part of the change in de-stigmatising mental health problems in their  month-long campaign. The campaign with the tagline #YouMatter starts today until 10 November  2022. 

    Following the success of last year’s mental health awareness campaign, Suria KLCC will once  again be joining hands with the Green Ribbon Group, a non-governmental organisation (NGO)  that champions a community approach to mental health. Also in collaboration for this year’s  campaign is MIASA (Mental Illness Awareness & Support Association). 

    As a lead-up to the #YouMatter campaign, artworks by youth artists with lived experiences of  mental illness were showcased at the Park Mall of Suria KLCC entrance area from 3 October until  8 October 2022. These works of passion from the National Art Gallery (via the Young Art  Entrepreneurs programme) illustrate the artists’ personal struggles.  

    Safe Space @ Suria KLCC 

    Suria KLCC is the first and only mall in Malaysia to take a mental health awareness campaign to  the next level via the creation of a safe space for the community. This space, dubbed the Safe  Space @ Suria KLCC, is designed for people to gather and converse on the subject of mental  health.

    The Safe Space @ Suria KLCC last year was a hit as it drew many visitors. As mental issues do  not discriminate, this year’s mental health awareness campaign promotes a more inclusive  approach. #YouMatter shines a light on mental health issues afflicting the youth today and what  the community can do to help support them.  

    The Safe Space @ Suria KLCC will be open for the duration of this campaign and can be found at Level 1, Ampang Mall. Open from 10am to 10pm daily, the space will serve as a venue for  engaging activities such as workshops, talks and panel discussions by mental health  professionals. Visitors can also get more information from a mental health volunteers stationed  here. 

    “The last two years marked a turbulent and uncertain time for all. With the pandemic in the rear view mirror, there’s no better time to reconnect and focus on recovery. Mental health awareness is  a long-term CSR effort by the Suria KLCC Group and we are committed to keeping the dialogue  open. We’ve engaged professionals and those with specialised expertise to help in curating the  content and activities that will be held in this area.  

    “The Safe Space @ Suria KLCC is a welcoming space where the community can come together  to share and learn. After all, a problem shared is a problem halved – we want people to leave the  space feeling better and with more insight about themselves or others,” said Andrew Brien,  Executive Director of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd. 

    Expressing her elation to be working with Suria KLCC for a second year running, Green Ribbon  Group Founder and President, YAM Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan Al-Sultan  Abdullah said, “Efforts like the Safe Space must continue to not only show our support for those  with mental health problems, but to also highlight our ongoing commitment towards doing more for  the cause. The focus on youth mental health this year is especially timely for the Green Ribbon  Group. We are very fortunate to be able to pilot programmes in secondary schools and  universities that focus on mental health literacy, self-management and peer support. This has  always been a dream of mine – to reach out to our youth and empower them to prioritise their  mental health.” 

    “MIASA was where I began my advocacy and outreach. It is fantastic that we are now partners  alongside Suria KLCC and The Body Shop for the Safe Space. Mental health knows no  boundaries. Together we can always do more,” she added.

This is why we should strive to  prioritise community-based mental health support – so that the burden of care can be shifted from  being shouldered solely by our incredible frontliners to being shouldered by all of us. Through  efforts like this, it is our sincere hope that the scale of our response to the issues surrounding  community mental health can begin to match the scale of the challenge itself. 

    “This collaboration with the Safe Space sets an example of how collective effort can create a big  impact and spur action in the community. MIASA is honoured to be part of this initiative and would  like to welcome everyone, especially the youth, to enjoy this space.” 

    Managing Director of The Body Shop Malaysia, Datin Mina Cheah said, “”At The Body Shop, we  believe that the voices of our youth matter and they should be seen and be heard. As we step into  World Mental Health month, it is important to create awareness about mental health and well being, especially for young people. Setting up this Safe Space alongside Suria KLCC, MIASA and  Green Ribbon Group is our way of advocating for our youth through promoting and protecting the  value of mental health. Young people with their youthful energy and ideals are the change the  world needs today. Thus, overcoming stigma, building resilience and empowering their self esteem is truly a community effort to ensure we help them reach their potential as the  changemakers of today and tomorrow.” 

    In addition, Suria KLCC has pledged to support NGOs championing mental health through  monetary support from the sales of the Suria Ribbon Pin during festive campaigns. So far, a fund  of over RM20,000 has been raised and donated to mental health-related NGOs, such as  Befrienders KL and the Malaysian Mental Health Association. This is an on-going initiative and the  Suria Ribbon Pin can be purchased from the Concierge at RM10 per pin.

  • AEON BEKERJASAMA DENGAN MAMEE UNTUK MEMPERTINGKATKAN PEMILIHAN PRODUK KEMPEN AEON X DAEBAK

With a distinctly tapered rear, the side windows offer a striking accent that emphasises the vehicle’s dynamic profile. Enhancing the side profile is a nightgold-coloured trim strip running parallel to the window line. 23-inch M Star Spoke 923 M wheels in Bicolour Nightgold (23-inch M Law Star Spoke 923 M in Bicolour Black for Shadow Line profile) denote its bold and sporty character, while the charger cap signifies its status as a plug-in hybrid SAV.

    The rear of the First-Ever BMW XM has been sculpted in a way that presents a particularly powerful look, due in part to its distinctively flared wheel arches. Its width is further emphasised by the slimline and sharply defined L-shaped taillights. As with every BMW M model, the First-Ever BMW XM features two twin tailpipes. However, distinguishing the electrified BMW M SAV is that for the first time, the hexagonal tailpipes have been arranged vertically, creating a unique interpretation of a signature M feature, while underlining the exceptional position of the most powerful BMW M model thus far, within the BMW M model family.

    As for dimensions, the First-Ever BMW XM measures 5,100 mm in length, 2,005 mm in width and 1,755 mm in height, while its wheelbase measures 3,105 mm. Luggage capacity for the SAV is measured at 527 litres, which is expandable to 1,820 litres.

    The First-Ever BMW XM is not only exquisite on the outside, but is equally stunning on the inside. Besides the interior trim finishers in carbon fibre, the cabin of the SAV is defined by the BMW Curved Display, consisting of an Information Display and a high-resolution touchscreen Control Display.     The First-Ever BMW XM is the first BMW M model with a plug-in hybrid drive. The combination of an internal combustion engine – itself delivering 360 kw / 489 hp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm – with an electric motor adds an extra edge to its hallmark M performance while simultaneously increasing efficiency. At its unveiling, the First-Ever BMW XM comes exclusively with the M HYBRID technology, based on an all-new 4.4-litre M TwinPower Turbo V8.  At the same time, in conjunction with the flap-controlled sports exhaust system, a striking soundscape that perfectly matches the vehicle’s extroverted character is created.

    Total powertrain output of the First-Ever BMW XM is rated at an astounding 480 kW / 653 hp and 800 Nm of torque, delivered via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. Century sprint takes just 4.3 seconds. With the inclusion of Launch Control, maximum accelerated is ensured from a standstill. For the First-Ever BMW XM, top speed is capped at 250 km/h (270 km/h with the M Driver’s package, which is included as standard), while electric top speed is capped at 140 km/h.

    As expected from a BMW M vehicle, the electrified SAV – featuring the intelligent M xDrive all-wheel drive system as standard – delivers impressive driving dynamics, optimum handling and maximum traction. In addition to the basic 4WD setting, drivers can select the 4WD Sport mode, which is biased to the rear and makes for superb agility. When driving on loose surfaces, the 4WD Sand mode is available to optimise traction, achieved as the standard M Sport differential ensures variable distribution of drive power between the rear wheels for improved traction and driving stability.

    With Adaptive M Suspension Professional as standard, the First-Ever BMW XM is equipped with electronically controlled dampers and features Active Roll Stabilisation that reduces lateral body movements. This creates greater agility and improved cornering behaviour. Besides that, Integral Active Steering is another component of the chassis design – by turning the rear wheels in tandem with the front wheel at higher speeds, greater vehicle stability is ensured. At lower speeds, the rear wheels instead steer in the opposite direction of the front wheels, improving manoeuvrability. 

    In addition to the vehicle’s low centre of gravity, advanced control systems such as the actuator-based wheel slip limitation also contribute to the supremely dynamic handling of the First-Ever BMW XM. Optimum deceleration is ensured by the standard M Sport brakes in Black High-Gloss, with 508 mm compound brake discs on the front axle.

    Meanwhile, the high-voltage battery located deep in the vehicle floor enables an all-electric range of up to 88 kilometres. The First-Ever BMW XM can be charged at up to 7.4 kW at an AC charging station. With a battery capacity of 25.7 kWh (net), a complete charge from 0% to 100% takes 4 hours and 15 minutes.

    It goes without saying that connectivity goes hand-in-hand with the ultimate driving experience. The First-Ever BMW XM is equipped with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, featuring a 12.3-inch Information Display, which works in tandem with the 14.9-inch Control Display to ensure uncluttered functionality. In addition, the integrated BMW Head-Up Display offers optimal viewing in the driver’s line of sight, further increasing the vehicle’s ease of use. Together with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the M specific BMW Operating System 8 enables intuitive control of vehicle functions using natural speech. 

    Additionally, the First-Ever BMW XM is also equipped with a range of other digital features and services such as the BMW ID, which ensures personalised settings are loaded as soon as the vehicle is unlocked, as well as BMW Gesture Control, which enhances communication with the car by enabling the use of defined gestures to operate certain functions.     Jamal berkata, lagu YANG MEMILIKI ini cukup dekat dengan kehidupan seharian selain apa yang dinikmati hari ini hanya bersifat sementara.

    “Lagu ini mengisahkan mengenai kita sebagai manusia hanyalah hamba yang menumpang sementara di atas muka bumi ini. Segala kenikmatan yang kita miliki hanyalah dipinjamkan oleh Allah SWT.

    “Kenikmatan yang dipinjamkan untuk kita terlalu banyak. Sejauh mana kita memilih untuk ke arah kebaikan atau sebaliknya, semuanya adalah pilihan kita. Kaya atau miskin itulah ujian buat kita. Segala kehebatan, keindahan, kecantikan, kesempurnaan, keagungan dan segala yang baik-baik adalah daripada Allah, Pemilik dan Pencipta yang abadi,” katanya.

    Berkongsi lanjut mengenai lagu YANG MEMILIKI, Jamal berkata dia jatuh cinta dengan melodi dan lirik yang dihasilkan.

     

    “Lagu dan lirik YANG MEMILIKI disiapkan demonya terlebih dahulu oleh penerbit dan pencipta lagu iaitu Kusham sebelum diperdengarkan kepada saya. Kali pertama mendengar, saya suka dan terus menyatakan persetujuan. Selepas itu baru pihak penerbit bawa kepada pihak Universal Music Malaysia untuk proses seterusnya. Alhamdulillah, pihak Universal Music Malaysia berminat dan proses rakaman pun bermula,” katanya.

    Menariknya mengenai proses rakaman lagu YANG MEMILIKI ini, muzik disusun oleh Kusham dan alat muzik dimainkan secara langsung oleh pemuzik professional.

    Sementara itu, penerbit lagu, Kusham berkata, proses rakaman berlangsung selama dua jam.

    “Apabila muzik siap dirakam, proses merakam suara Dato’ Jamal pun dilakukan. Rakaman suara mengambil masa lebih kurang dua jam. Proses rakaman berlangsung di One Scream Studio.

    “Selepas itu, proses adunan digalas oleh saudara Raja Iskandar atau Is Wow. Bagi saya, ini satu lagi pengalaman berharga buat kami apabila dapat bekerjasama dengan legenda. Proses yang mudah dan sangat profesional,” katanya.

    Kusham juga berharap lagu YANG MEMILIKI bukan sekadar lagu dan hiburan, tapi dapat memberikan manfaat buat semua pendengar.

  • Search – 40th Anniversary Rock n Roll

    The legendary rock band Search will play as part of the ongoing Rock on 40 Concert Series on December 4th at Istana Budaya.

    Announcing their show after a simple signing ceremony held at Menara Network office this afternoon, Amy of Search said they are proud to be part of the historic Rock On 40 concert series and have always wanted to come back to the prestigious venue as Search was the highest grossing act to perform there in the last decade. “It is always a privilege to perform Istana Budaya and to perform to our fans”, Dato Amy said.
