    Istana Budaya Hidupkan Kuala Lumpur Dengan Lambang Sari Series 4: Celebration & Reflection

    Istana Budaya kembali mencuri tumpuan ibu kota Kuala Lumpur dengan penganjuran Lambang Sari Series 4: Celebration & Reflection (LSS 4) yang berlangsung di Auditorium Bandaraya, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) pada 15 dan 16 November 2024. Acara ini memperlihatkan dedikasi Istana Budaya dalam memperkaya landskap seni budaya Malaysia melalui persembahan orkestra klasikal barat bertaraf antarabangsa.

    Sebagai sebahagian daripada kempen Gerak, program Lambang Sari Series (LSS) di Istana Budaya ini telah mencipta momentum besar sejak dilancarkan. Sebelumnya, tiga siri yang berjaya telah mengisi ruang seni Malaysia:

    • LSS 1: Resilience and Triumph di Dewan Filharmonik Petronas;
    • LSS 2: Symphonic Spectacular di Panggung Eksperimen Universiti Malaya;
    • LSS 3: Kita Jiwa | Merdeka di JKKN Melaka.

    LSS 4 kali ini, dengan tema Celebration & Reflection, meneruskan legasi ini dalam skala yang lebih besar, menampilkan persembahan Orkestra Simfoni Kebangsaan (OSK) dengan gabungan muzik klasik yang memukau serta kolaborasi dengan pemuzik berbakat.

    Menurut Ketua Pengarah Istana Budaya, YBrs. Puan Zubaidah Mukhtar, acara ini menjadi platform penting bagi anak jati Malaysia untuk menyerlahkan bakat mereka. “LSS 4 memberikan penghormatan kepada pemuzik tempatan yang telah mencipta nama di persada antarabangsa, selain menjadi medan untuk berkongsi pengalaman dan kehebatan seni mereka dengan masyarakat tempatan,” jelas beliau.

    Bintang utama persembahan ini adalah Bernice Ooi, violinist ternama yang juga merupakan anak Malaysia pertama di Royal Swedish Orchestra. Beliau membawa kecemerlangan dari pentas dunia ke tanah air, memukau penonton dengan karya klasik yang penuh emosi.

    Program selama 1 jam 30 minit ini menyajikan tiga karya agung dari komposer terkenal:

    • Dmitri Shostakovich: Festive Overture
    • Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64
    • Johannes Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68

    Di bawah pimpinan Konduktor Encik Nasran Nawi, seramai 85 pemuzik OSK melengkapkan pengalaman ini dengan pelbagai alat muzik klasikal termasuk Clarinet, Bassoon, dan English Horn.

    Selain muzik, LSS 4 membawa impak berbeza dengan sokongan tajaan dari JS Music dan Ket Wei Gallery, yang menyediakan alat muzik khas seperti English Horn dan Violin. Persembahan ini adalah lambang perayaan seni muzik klasikal yang mengundang penonton untuk merenung perjalanan seni yang kekal relevan dan berdaya maju.

    TV AlHijrah Lancar Program Celik al-Quran ‘IQRA’ di TikTok

    TV AlHijrah, sebagai peneraju media dakwah, baru-baru ini melancarkan satu inisiatif yang sangat bermakna dalam usaha untuk memperkenalkan dan mempermudah akses kepada ilmu al-Quran melalui platform digital. Program baharu yang dinamakan IQRA ini disiarkan secara eksklusif di aplikasi TikTok dan dihasilkan dengan kerjasama Darul Fikir.

    IQRA bertujuan untuk menjadi jendela ilmu bagi masyarakat Malaysia, dengan mengajak penonton untuk lebih dekat dengan al-Quran, menjadikan bacaan dan pemahaman terhadapnya sebagai sebahagian daripada gaya hidup seharian.

    Langkah ini adalah sebahagian daripada aspirasi Kerajaan MADANI untuk mencipta masyarakat yang bukan sahaja berpengetahuan, tetapi juga berakhlak mulia, dengan al-Quran sebagai landasan hidup mereka. Melalui program ini, diharapkan Malaysia dapat menjadi negara yang unggul dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan akhlak, selaras dengan ajaran-ajaran Islam yang mementingkan keseimbangan antara rohani dan intelektual.

    Program IQRA juga memberi penekanan kepada pentingnya celik al-Quran dalam kehidupan umat Islam. Seperti yang disabdakan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW dalam hadis yang diriwayatkan oleh Muslim, “Seorang yang mahir dalam membaca al-Quran akan bersama para malaikat yang mulia dan sentiasa taat kepada Allah, dan bagi yang membaca al-Quran namun mengalami kesulitan, baginya dua ganjaran.” Dengan semangat ini, IQRA menyediakan platform yang mampu memberi peluang kepada setiap lapisan masyarakat untuk mempelajari al-Quran secara mudah dan berkesan.

    Disiarkan setiap hari pada jam 9 malam, IQRA akan membimbing penonton untuk mempelajari asas-asas bacaan al-Quran, termasuk kaedah tarannum, tajwid, dan penghayatan makna ayat-ayat suci. Pembelajaran disampaikan dalam bentuk yang santai dan interaktif, menjadikannya lebih mudah diterima oleh semua peringkat umur. Melalui 79 kapsul harian berdurasi dua minit setiap satu, peserta akan dipimpin oleh para pendakwah berkaliber seperti Ustaz Ammar Mukhlis, Tilmiz Fahmi, dan Tilmizah Maghfirah.

    Sarkas Dinobatkan Juara Muzikal Lawak Superstar 4!

    Setelah sembilan minggu beraksi di pentas Muzikal Lawak Superstar 4 (MLS4), akhirnya kumpulan Sarkas diangkat sebagai juara, membawa pulang hadiah utama bernilai RM 150,000 serta trofi. Kemenangan ini adalah hasil usaha keras Danial Zaini, Acap S, dan Shashic, yang telah memikat hati penonton dan juri dengan persembahan yang sarat dengan emosi dan penghayatan mendalam.

    Pada malam final yang berlangsung semalam, persaingan antara kumpulan-kumpulan berbakat semakin memuncak, dengan setiap kumpulan menunjukkan kemahiran luar biasa dalam sketsa muzikal mereka. Dengan markah keseluruhan sebanyak 67.89%, Sarkas berjaya menewaskan kumpulan Padie yang mendapat 67.07% dan meraih tempat kedua, sementara Putehh yang mencatatkan 64.57% berada di tempat ketiga. Ketiga-tiga kumpulan ini bukan sahaja mempamerkan bakat komedi yang menghiburkan tetapi juga menyentuh emosi penonton dengan persembahan yang penuh penghayatan.

    Muzikal Lawak Superstar

    Sarkas telah berjaya membuktikan kehebatan mereka dengan persembahan yang bukan hanya mengandungi unsur komedi, tetapi turut mengangkat nilai emosi dan mesej yang kuat dalam setiap lakonan. Persembahan mereka yang menyentuh hati ini memantapkan lagi pencapaian mereka sebagai juara pada musim keempat Muzikal Lawak Superstar. Acap S, Danial Zaini, dan Shashic turut dipuji kerana membawa sketsa yang penuh makna dan memberi impak besar kepada penonton.

    Tempat kedua pula, milik kumpulan Padie yang tidak kurang hebatnya. Mereka membawa pulang RM 75,000 beserta trofi sebagai penghargaan atas usaha gigih mereka sepanjang pertandingan. Kumpulan Putehh, yang juga memberi saingan sengit, berjaya menamatkan pertandingan di tempat ketiga dengan RM 50,000 dan trofi.

    Selain itu, satu kejutan berlaku apabila Zulin Aziz dipilih sebagai pemenang Superstar Paling Gempak musim keempat. Kejayaan Zulin tidak hanya disebabkan bakat komedi yang menonjol, tetapi juga kerana keupayaannya membawa lakonan yang penuh dedikasi dan profesionalisme. Kejayaan ini membuktikan bahawa Zulin memiliki potensi besar untuk terus berkembang dalam industri hiburan.

    Reflections on My Transformative Journey at Huawei Malaysia By William Syrillus Tunsin

    After 17 years of serving within the government, I have witnessed firsthand how the efficiency of government services has steadily improved over the years. While I have always believed in the value of continuous improvement, my career took an unexpected turn when I applied for the Cross Fertilisation Programme (CFP) under the Public Service Department. The program offers public officers the opportunity to spend a year in the private sector to learn, exchange knowledge, and bring back best practices to the government.

    At the time, I had no particular company in mind for my placement, but fate had other plans. To my surprise, I was selected by Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a company I initially did not associate with public service innovation. Joining Huawei in November 2023 marked the beginning of a journey that would profoundly change my perspective on technology, leadership, and the future of both the public and private sectors.

    My initial impression of Huawei was limited to its consumer products—smartphones, tablets, and wearables. I wrongly assumed that these were the company’s primary business areas. However, as I delved deeper into the company’s operations, I quickly realised how small the consumer segment was in comparison to Huawei’s broader impact. In fact, the consumer business only accounted for five per cent of Huawei’s total revenue, while its core business activities spanned across several sectors—Carrier Network Business, Enterprise Business, Cloud and AI Business, and Digital Power Business.

    I was particularly fascinated to learn that Huawei’s presence in Malaysia dates back to 2001 and that the company now serves over 95 per cent of the country’s connectivity needs. Huawei’s role in building the digital infrastructure of Malaysia was far greater than I had ever imagined, and it made me realise the depth of the company’s commitment to the region’s technological advancement.

    One of the most striking aspects of Huawei’s corporate culture was the company’s commitment to upskilling, reskilling, and cross-skilling its workforce. At Huawei, learning is not a one-time event but a continuous, integral part of an employee’s development. All employees, including myself, were required to complete a minimum of one hour of learning each week and to undergo compulsory exams via Huawei’s “iLearning” platform. This emphasis on learning was not just about technical knowledge but also about fostering a culture of innovation and agility—skills that are crucial for success in today’s fast-evolving technological landscape.

    Although I initially found it challenging to grasp Huawei’s comprehensive approach to digital transformation, my experience at the Digital Leadership Excellence (DLE) Programme in Shenzhen, China was a game changer. The DLE programme, which was inspired by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim’s call for leadership in digital transformation at the Malaysia ICT Summit, provided me with a deeper understanding of Huawei’s global strategy. The visit to Huawei’s Headquarters in Shenzhen was a pivotal moment in my journey, offering me invaluable insights into the company’s mission and vision.

    At Huawei’s headquarters, I came to appreciate the company’s central mission: to “bring digital to every person, home, and organisation for a fully connected, intelligent world.” This vision is customer-centric, focusing on how technology can elevate individuals and societies alike. Huawei’s commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation permeates all aspects of its operations and has allowed the company to lead in fields like 5G technology, cloud computing, and AI.

    As I observed Huawei’s transformation from a small company to a global tech leader, it became clear to me that the company’s greatest asset is its people. Huawei’s leadership in the digital space is not just due to its advanced technology but is also a product of a strong corporate culture that places a high value on collaboration, learning, and sustainable growth.

    As my tenure as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Manager at Huawei comes to a close, I am left with a profound appreciation for the company’s values and business model. I have gained new insights that I believe can be applied to improve public service administration back home. Huawei’s emphasis on continuous learning, agility in decision-making, and collaborative work culture are principles that could greatly benefit public institutions.

    Perhaps the most inspiring lesson I take away from my experience at Huawei is the power of technology to drive change. Seeing Shenzhen’s remarkable transformation from a small fishing village to a global tech hub is a testament to the role that visionary leadership and innovation can play in societal development. It is this transformative power of technology and the lessons from Huawei’s success that will continue to inspire me as I move forward in my career.

    I am deeply grateful to Vice President Mr. Oliver Liu and the talented staff at Huawei Malaysia’s Business Environment Department (BED) for their unwavering support and mentorship throughout my journey. The opportunity to be part of Huawei’s dynamic team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. As I bid farewell to Huawei, I will carry with me not only the best practices and insights I have gained but also a newfound appreciation for how the private sector can lead the way in innovation, leadership, and digital transformation.

    I look forward to leveraging these lessons as I continue my work in the government sector, and I remain hopeful that the cross-pollination of ideas between the private and public sectors can create even greater synergies in the years to come.

    As I close this chapter, I carry with me an immense sense of gratitude for Huawei Malaysia and the incredible journey I’ve had with them—one that will serve as a beacon for the future of public service in Malaysia.

Konsert “Arijit Singh Live in Malaysia” yang dianjurkan oleh Hitman Solutions bersama Cinestar Events menyaksikan penyanyi tersohor India itu mempersembahkan hampir 50 lagu ikoniknya, termasuk beberapa hits terbesar dari filem Bollywood yang telah menawan hati jutaan peminat di seluruh dunia.
